Actually, the girls, talking about this comeback in the past, they said that because Silent Night was highly praise, they tried to recreated the feel of that song in this title track. So, yeah, "Scream" is the most powerful and "title track type" version of Silent Night.

Bro, Silent Night is my all time favorite song by DC. I didn't know it was so popular with everyone but it quickly became my fave. Scream is 2nd with Deja Vu as 3rd

Pd ur going to appreciate Scream even more. Scream talks about how their is a modern witchhunt in the kpop scene and words can hurt the celebrities u thought u worship. In order words they are bring awareness to the suicides to Sulli and Hara. After hearing this, makes me appreciate the girls on a whole other level.

I really like their musical direction and specifically their vision for Dreamcatcher's sound. The one thing that runs across their title tracks is some orchestral/symphonic element fused with rock, metal, and then literally any other electronic sub genre they can think of. Very epic sound. Spacious mixes. Love it.

@@rhenaissancepoet yeah sometimes for a single performance but for a whole era? and this isnt just an instance of having someone fill in for the member who usually does that part... handong likely hasnt actually learned this choreo at all yet because she's busy. so this isnt a case of a dancer filling a gap in the choreo, this choreo was specifically made with the missing member in mind and they even have someone holding the spot for handong for when she gets back lol. like that masked dancer might be the one who teaches handong that part haha. ive never seen anything like this

And it's something only Dream Catcher can do, because it matches their concept so well. Other groups can try it, but it would just look odd and noticeable. But with Dream Catcher, it blends in beautifully and almost looks intentional

This comeback has brought the Insomnia fandom so many new fans. I'm really glad people are being open-minded to Dreamcatcher's unique sound. As you said, there is no other KPOP girl group, ever- to do a sound like this and execute these type of concepts. They were even asked in past if they would ever change their sound and they all agreed with a strong NO. They said Rock is their sound and their essence. I'm really proud they are representing a different genre into KPOP and really pushing the boundaries of what people think KPOP is- especially for a female group where these types of concepts aren't considered "trendy" or desirable for young women in South Korea. Everyone wants CUTE or GIRL CRUSH or PURE /INNOCENT - sometimes SEXY (variably) concepts...and here you have these girls channeling power, strength, beauty and femininity....through a hardcore sound. All while dancing :D They ROCK....easily said. Also nothing wrong with other concepts...but I have to say it is SO DAMN REFRESHING to see something DIFFERENT in KPOP for female idol groups!

HELL YES! I love that Dreamcatcher don't give in to the mainstream. They stick to their own unique sound, but do it with such versatility and try out different genres in B-sides, but they still stay true to their rock roots and I love that. I love every single song of theirs and that has never happened to me with any other group.

I really hope he does! He's never reacted to any of their previous albums so it would broaden his view of them by a lot. Their b-sides are very different from their title tracks after all and this album in particular is very good. It's their first full album too!

15:39 I'm pretty sure it's impossible to not love Sua after going to their concert. I didn't have a bias before going to their show but she WRECKED me. She's so chaotic and funny but then when she performs she becomes incredibly charismatic and badass. Idk how it was at the other stops but she pretty much ruled the stage in Berlin

The irony of Dreamcatcher is they are the most Jrock/pop influenced group - and yet their Japanese release What is probably my least favorite track (which is unexplainable because all of their songs are amazing) -hoping their upcoming Japanese release is just as good as this track

I love that the set doesn't look real too! I feel like it actually adds to the whole dystopian theme because the nature feels manufactured like it creates the idea that they've created this fake environment where nothing is actually living and they're not actually outside because it's not safe, which is then kind of backed up by some of the green screen scenes where they are supposed to be outside but it looks otherworldly and dangerous.
Also, you've probably already listened to it as I'm typing this comment, but I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the album, especially Jazz Bar, Sahara, In the Frozen and Black or White because those songs are amazing! I love this album so much! They showed so much talent and versatility in it and so far I've listened to the songs every day and they never get tiring to listen to. Also some of them still give me chills even after multiple listens.
I have the same reaction with PD when I watched the MV the first time I was fucking speechless too! I mean there was so much going on my brain can't handle it I was struck by their beauty and the song deym.

I was in love with this comeback and the album. The video wasn't my favorite since it was so hard to see some of the choreo, favorite would go to deja vu, but the song is a contender for my favorite.
Siyeon's is a really good vocal and has a dynamic voice but Yoo Hyeon has my Ideal type of Voice because it's not too dynamic and is the most balanced. Yoo Hyeon has the typical type of Korean voice but the best type of typical voice and I just lover her voice and is more soothing. I think Yoo Hyeon is a little underrated. Gahyeon is my bias but I just feel Yoo Hyeon need more attention just because she's so talented.
YooHyeon is definitely a great great vocalist, for me she and Siyeon are the Main Vocals, she's is being called a lead vocal but i dont think so, but she's seems to be underrated because Siyeon is a outstanding singer, the varietion of techniques she uses is too much (in a good way).
I think Yoohyeon has gotten a LOT of push since You and I. I would argue that’s shes actually one of the more popular members of the group being a practically a main vocalist and the English speaking member though I might be biased cause she’s my bias lol

I do agree it was one of their best comebacks and I cannot for the life of me stop doing the hand movements lmao. All the songs in the album are just perfect, there's not one I'm not in love with. I'm kinda sad about Handong not being a part tho, I guess that's the only thing I can't help but feel, not really "disappointed" as it's not a thing done on purpose, like something's missing.
I mean, the masked girl is there to represent Handong. They have shown that they haven't forgotten her, despite her absence.

I remember when PD was on the fence about Dreamcatcher, Now He's Now a Dreamcatcher Stan! He's Now an InSomnia! Stan PD! Stan Dreamcatcher! I don't ever recall him so speechless before. Seems Everyone Sera Ryu, PD, Umu from React to the K, Brix, JRE(?) all had the Same OMG Speechless Reaction! Also another point that makes Scream so Special is its Message. Right at the begining of the MV it States: "One Day Suddenly The Light Was Gone From The World. People Forgot How To Say Good Things" If you read the English Subbed Lyrics in the Captions and Look at some of the Imagery in The MV you will Notice it is about How People have come to spread rumors, lies and hate on Social Media Platforms. How People Throw Shade at and make Malicious Comments toward others, and especially KPop Idols in picticular. It is also a reference to Sasaeng or in English Stalker type Fans. Both Types of Behaviours Need to STOP! Let us Not Forget The Events of Last Year and Years Prior. Let us not Forget the Names Sulli and her Dear Best Friend Goo Hara. Btw PD The Scream you heard was in the song. Also yeah my Bias Dami 다미 brought her A Game and as Always and Slayed! She had more lines and screen time this time around too!

The album is soooo good! Jazz, funk, r&b, rock, edm. It's so diverse. Leez and Ollounder are musical geniuses. My favorite B-sides are "Black or White" and "Jazz Bar". But every song is good. This is one of the few albums that is a zero skip album for me. I usually only like 1-2 songs on any given album, but this is a whole other level of masterpiece!! You should definitely do a listening party.
This MV is the start of a new story-arc with a fantasy theme. Not the same nightmare story-arc that ended

Love this comeback. What I love most is the progression of the song from them being the scared victim (Please I don't want to scream), to opening their eyes and questioning what's going on, to finally embracing the darkness as a power they can harness (I just wanna make you scream). It's brilliant. And I just noticed in hearing it here that the line "Devil Eyes Come" which to me sounded like a sign of submission in the earlier parts when they sang it as victims, is sung by the disembodied evil voice in the last chorus, like the roles are switched now and they're standing triumphant. Just gives me chills thinking about it.

This comeback was freaking amazing and them during the live promotions keeping Handong represented with the masked member is so heartwarming. The entire album itself is incredible it's got hints back to original dreamcatcher with Tension and Sahara and In the Frozen are beautiful. I absolutely loved everything about this release.

I’m pretty confident that the instrumentation in the chorus hook is strings! They sound like it could be layered electric strings, which is excellent. It could also be a heavily affected electric guitar!
