Masterful use of humour to reveal the destructive nature of the spiritual ego trip and the dangers of denying or repressing our true selves, warts and all. Growth - letting go of delusion, is both painful and joyful. Thank you JP for dropping the bandana in the second half of this video, for your honesty and sincerity. There can be no Dharma without humour - easy to forget. "This too shall pass".

Dear JP, your words of Windom always an inspiration, Bless you for being Authentic and genuine, your self awareness is extraordinary and So well expressed.... Love the polarities between between the comedic Ultra Spiritual Guru and the real you. Very Clever indeed.😊
I sometimes get into discussions with the "Ultral Spiritual" types you depict in your videos and quite frankly I get sick and tired of hearing that we are not our, thoughts, feelings, emotions, pain... etc... To me, they (some) are way more in denial than the vast majority usually, delusional about being Superior that they are detached from any attachments including feelings and emotions etc, that have never been healed or acknowledged, but rather supressed and pushed down....
Love and Blessings to you, Lana

I like how she says that she has been trained during her many interviews of spiritual leaders. It says a lot about her as a person. This just shows that she doesn't believe all of what she is told, she seeks the truth. As for J.P., it was nice to see this side of you. I'm new to your channel but I'm loving it so far.

  • @rolandkriewaldt3518

WOW! I am in awe that both of you were able to keep a straight face during the more hilarious attempts to "out-ultra-humor" one another. It takes a strong constitution to not break out of character; something only possible for an ultra-spiritual person. (Obviously!) :) Also…
Thanks for these vids, JP. They are not only funny and informative, but they also "awaken" viewers to how they might be manipulated by spiritual scammers who are also "in character" but only for the well-being of their bank account and/or social status. It's a much needed public service that you are providing with intelligence and compassion.

I loved this, because although I am not spiritual, vegan or awakened, I always learn something of value from JP. My Granddaughter is afraid of everything since watching Walking Dead with her dad at age 5, Now I realize I have been approaching it wrong. I will stop telling her it is silly to be afraid of going to the bathroom or sleeping in her room and start validating her fear but that being 'brave' means doing it even when she is afraid. Thanks JP!

Just love you JP Sears...so good to meet you behind the character. You say so much truth...spiritual depth can be light..meaning fun and laughter....to be able to laugh at oneself is spiritual...right on ..And enough of this serious spiritual 'crap"...being spiritual is to be like a child...I am not a Christian but one of the greatest truth lies in these sentences: Jesus said: "Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.
" Matthew 19:14. Yes! Let's be like little children, and get out of our head and live the present moment, that is the kingdom of God, that is where Heaven is... ...children don't worry..they just are here and now! You are a great teacher JP Sears..Thank you Tami for this interview . Blessings!

I started laughing uncontrollably when I've heard '... the very first day of April ...'

Seems like not many actually got that side note at the beginning...though it's obvious they are not dead serious.

I vote for a Matt Kahn Interview with you JP! I think that would shake the world and break down the rigid seriousness that seems to spiral around the perfect image that people think is necessary in order to be what they seek!

yessss @awakenwithjp I love how these two both poke fun at the inherent hypocrisy in all of us/our egos on our spiritual journey. They seem to be the only ones speaking of it. I heart them both - and they are my faves as a result. Both hilarious too, but JP is more entertaining and more creative and likely to reach more people as a result!! Well done and BRAVO!!

Astral dimension warming can be helped significantly with frozen margaritas. Cools 'em right down or else you won't even think about them anymore after a pitcher.

The second part of the interview is as fascinating and interesting as the first. Without solid time-tested values to underpin our journey, we will drift from search to search and become more unhappy in the end. That’s why things like family, self discipline, honesty, respect for life, honour of our parents etc are so valuable and very reliable as we spread ourselves out.
