Slip Bobber fishing for Crappie!
In this how to video, I explain three different ways to tie a slip bobber for fishing multiple species including crappie, bass, bluegill, catfish, and walleye. I walk through how to tie your own slip knot from extra line you have, and how to use the rubber bobber stops to make the most of your bobber fishing experience.

Thanks for teaching how you set up your bobber stops. You're good at sharing your techniques which is the primary reason I subscribe to your channel.
Thanks for taking your time and explaining everything as you go along
Great info - I hate those yarn bobber stops they usually come off for me - thanks for showing how to tie one on with braid or mono. I usually put a bead between the bobber stop and the bobber to keep the bobber stop from getting caught in the top of the bobber (say that 3 time fast LOL!!).
Hello floppin crappie , That was a good video of how 2, I just tied on a wobble bobber last night 👍great job James Harkness
thanks, and thanks for watching!
I am by no means a "Fisherman" but i do a lot of pan fishing with the kids. So take this with a grain of salt. I normally use a bead both above and below the bobber to prevent the slip knot from sticking. Some of those slip knot walmart packs do come with them. I am not sure if there is any disadvantage to this but it seems like a good preventive step when fishing with a 6 yo that on occasion reels until it stops. good video keep them coming.
I was about to ask about this. I was thinking that if the bobber stop was still small enough to slip through, perhaps a bead would be helpful.
Absolutely use a bead.
another awesome Tutorial!
Thanks for the info. Just learning how and your videos are very good.
glad i could help. thanks for watching!
Great tip! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Sure have had my day with tie on stops. Never again . Got 2 CVV Crappie Stix coming. 8’ and 11’ thanks Davidson
Nice information. Keep them coming.
Thanks for watching!
Make a tiny bobber stop knot on your line by using 10 pound mono, and you won't feel anything when you reel it in. Here's how ... tie a hook or jig to your line, and attach it to the bottom eyelet, and get your line tight like a guitar string . Next take about 18 inches of 10 pound mono and wrap it around the tight line, and tie 4 overhand knots right on top of each other and clip both tag ends at about 1/8 inch .PS you have to use a small bead with this, because this bobber stop knot is so small.
Would you do a video on your garmin echomap 93sv using your ps22 transducer in forward mode? Explain the settings you use and explain what the graph showing. Thanks!
thanks for the tutorial !well done.
Thanks!
How do you know how much split shot you need to add to get the jig down in deep water?
Well, you can have the split show so heavy that it sinks the bobber. A lot of bobber have a weight recommendation on the package. If it doesn't, sometimes trial and error works best.
My pleasure.
What about a small red bead to prevent the slipping to the hook?
You could use that as well. I just like to use the rubber bobber stop. Thanks for watching!
Good info. Thanks.
The link you gave for the bobber stop comes in 3 sizes, S, M, L what size do I need for the wobble bobber? Thank you.
Do they have all the same hole size?
The should say the ounce weight on the side of the bobber. I believe the sizes are 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 oz. I was using 1/16 oz. size in this video.
Would it make sense if you use a Small round tube with a flip down the middle and if wrap the line around The tube
that could work, I'll have to try it out. Thanks for watching!
When do you choose minnows over plastic jigs 25:14
Hi Davis,
Everything ok, but you did not join between the float,
and jig good quality anti-twist swivel.
Best Regards
Thanks
Dont worry about dean white he dosent know what the hell hes talking about i thought you did a grate job making your owen bobber stops save money again grate job
Chat size bobber stop is that
These are the same rubber stops you can buy to pegging bullet weights on texas rig for bass fishing. Not sure if the local sporting goods store I bought them from has more than one size.
You could use a slip bead then bobber
I did mention that a bead below the bobber would be better if using the rubber stops. This way the stops won't get stuck in the bobber. Thanks for watching!
this dude can't estimate 6 inches. hahahahahaha
