Privilege in the K-pop industry doesn’t mean shit a lot of the time. It would help a lot if jype actually did use their privilege, like rn skz is being fucked over by their US label that refuses to promote them properly and won’t put the 5-star albums on the shelves so our sales r dropping, and jype is ignoring it bc they simply don’t care. U can b from a small company and be doing great, like ateez, or be from a big 3 company and be doing not very good, but to say that skz is only successful bc of privilege is so fucking stupid bc that privilege isn’t being used. And like the creator of the vid said, why is privilege in the industry a bad thing? Like there’s so much mistreatment in the industry and I’d rather a group be privileged and not be suffering and not be working themselves into the ground bc the company either doesn’t have the money to support them or they’re being mistreated simply bc the company is shit. Like even tho skz is very successful theyre not privileged in the slightest, the members literally make themselves physically sick and get injured all the time bc of how hard they have to work bc they’re doing everything themselves, their schedules r fucking insane and jype is working them half to death. Privilege can literally affect the health of the members and idk why people view it as a bad thing to have a good foundation of support from your company.

There are a lot of other companies like you mention 80s who cannot put out music that often because their company is 80s is doing great because their company only has them and one other group so the attention gets to go on them but that still doesn’t mean that they don’t struggle because they definitely do

The only privilege tgat big 4 has is exposure. Other than that? Theres not much privilege cuz at the end of the day its still the music that brings up fandom
Exposure with the kpop community, financial resources, industry contacts with leads to opportunities, company stans that will eat up anything that company does, etc. There are many things. But it’s not a bad thing, it just gets annoying when fans that follow big4 groups act like their favs are some indie artists that somehow made it big just because of their music. It’s okay to admit that not all their success is organic, it’s not a big deal, at the end of the day, as the creator said, everyone wishes that kind of privilege for their group whether they want to admit it or not.
There’s really nothing wrong with the exposure! People forget these big companies weren’t always big and also had to work to get there they have worked for years to even be able to call themselves the big 4.. these trainees also have trained for years most of them at least and it’s nothing wrong to make groups when you’re a big company because they act like they still don’t need to work and didn’t work the years they trained it’s crazy honestly
10:46 for real 🥲 ⚠️ I'm talking about a specific army i encountered Once an Army literally called Seventeen a nugu group just because they are not in bb chart hot 200/100 . I told him/her that it doesn't matter but she /he was like Seventeen is not even popular . I mean Seventeen is one of the most popular and known group in SK just because the general US population doesn't know them doesn't mean Svt are not successful or popular .
I am an army too,but I know damn well that seventeen are big.The ones that try to hate other groups and say that my faves achieved this and that but yours not,are probably baby Armies that joined to the fandom recently and try to brag with bts’s achievements to other fandoms. You can be proud with your idol’s achievements, but also shouldn’t devalue the achievements of really big group.
yeah and pledis literally does not promote seventeen in the us (or anywhere outside of sk for that matter) AT ALL so what are we (by we i mean carats) supposed to do about it😭 theyre literally the most popular group in korea and have been for YEARS, the fact that they debuted so long ago and have managed to stay very relevant to the point where their variety content still rakes in tens of millions of views and their albums are some of the most sold of all time is wayyyy more important than their rankings on charts or whatever lol
The jealousy towards Wonyoung is looking depressing on the “fans” part. Their bitter asses doesn’t mean shit because Wonyoung is still working hard, still being successful today, and her, her group mates, and the company are not giving two shits about what we think or say and I like that.
I only really have an opinion on the the first argument she made and I agree to a fault. I feel it's confusing support and love. She kept talking about how people don't have to listen to music they don't vibe with and I totally agree, but support is about wanting them to succeed. Because we love every BTS member (example), we want them to succeed in their solo activities, but there's no way for us to love and connect with each member's music the same cuz they r all completely different. I feel her argument is that we don't have to love each member's music equally, but we should all support them equally. They all have different goals and opinions about where and who they want their music to impact and Ik that all ARMYs hope that they accomplish them
- I Agree - lmfao 💀 - True - Yes ! It's me I am general public I couldn't vibe to their songs at all - idk shit about this - well I never cared about charts if I love a song I listen
I love BTS but the only solo I liked was J-Hopes. Ifelt bad admitting it at first cause people made me feel like I didn't deserve to like BTS if I want going to hyper support them all. Idk now though😂
People don’t realize you won’t like every style of music it’s crazy! Just because you like jhope doesn’t mean it’s your mission to make the members all flunk and make him dominate they all have Twitter energy
Same!!!! I only liked J-hope's solo debut and all his recent solo releases and wildflower. And V's newest song Loving me again is literally the best one I've heard from BTS solo songs I'm exited for the rest of his album
Nah like for example if seventeen members go solo, my interest and taste in their concepts wouldn't even matter cause it's not humanly possible to follow 13 people equally.
The problem I have with the 1st point is that many so called armies scream OT7 (we support each member equally) which in reality actually feel like what was said and in the same breath criticize solo stans. If it's ok for Army to not want to support all 7 then it should be ok with fans to support 1 member as long as they dont disrespect the other members. Also I am OT7 through and through I just never understood the outrage against solo's.
Lmao ik solos are pretty shitty ppl I've ever seen, they drag other members to support their fav member and they also ended up with dragging their fav member. It's ok if you like only one member just support them no need to talk about BTS and ARMY and that's what ot7 ARMYs always try to say. And yes BTS fandom is ARMY, so solos are not the part of the fandom .
Solos are definitely worst ...they do support their fav. Member but if .other members song becomes big than they hate that member ...and try to sabotage them ... Eg- Left and right is most popular solo song of 2022 than came like crazy in 2023 ...and is at peace of breaking lots of records ...so solos started attacking jimin and they are nasty ... supporting hate train by k-pop fans against jimin After that came seven by jk ..nd that song shattered every record ..so solos started attacking jungkook now by calling him names and making wrong allegations and spreading misinformation Solos/akegae never think of grp ....for them only thing matter is their fav. Like u can see them hating on the grp ...which the members in ...like most of solos support solo song over grp song Eg take two and like crazy and seven In k-pop everyone has bias ..but they do support every member also not liking discography is valid point but for that atleast give that a try .. So bias doesn't mean ur solo of that member also solos are Group antis
@@Cypher9k that's what I'm trying to say here I've bias too but let me be honest my love for 7 of them is incomparable(I don't really know what with other kpop grps but abt BTS I'm 100% sure that if you are only visual stan you can never be ARMY). As an ARMY my goal is always BTS (BTS and ARMY in whole is not for weak ppl we get hate from every side and we have to protect ourselves and BTS from others) , alot of ppl specially multis can never understand the real problem bcoz they are always behind our backs to protect their faves. And whats funny here is that if you talk about BTS we are actually music fans it doesn't matter if it's hip hop or r&b I love almost all of genre covered by BTS as group and soloist, so this video's first part was dedicated to solos.
Being solos is not the problem, but shading the group and members is. Solos are often vile who joins hands w other group's fans and start shit. If you are on Twitter you would know. That's why we call solos as Antis.
In my opinion for BTS solo activities, every member has an excellent concept that shows they’re truly artists and they deserve all the praise. The people that don’t like all the members' solo projects are most likely solo stans (due to the women saying that “the reason a few members have less views are because people don’t like the concept, so don’t force them to listen to it” are likely solo stans) or BTS haters because there’s no way people don’t like Jin’s, Jhope’s, and RM’s, and Jimin’s and Yoongi’s and to be soon Jungkook’s and Taehyung’s concept. All these solo projects mean so much to me because it’s showing proof that ALL the members are talented and why BTS is the GREATEST group in the world. I wonder if there are people who have so much talent with amazing ideas coming together to make beautiful art? Yes, it’s BTS💜
Srsly kpop stans need to stop giving their opinion abt BTS when they don't even know shit, ppl need to see this comment and atleast ARMYs who are on yt. All solo project were so so amazing BTS members music is not abt concept lmao it's their life journey and I doubt that there is any ARMY who didn't like the solo projects.
All the members are talented but it definitely doesn’t mean I’m going to specifically try and listen to them and follow them all equally. Personally, I enjoy RM’s recent work the most and don’t really find myself listening to the other members’ stuff that much at all. J-Hope is pretty much the only one I follow on IG ‘cause I like his fashion. That doesn’t make me a solo stan tho? It’s in the same vein of how I enjoy specific albums of ot7 more and mainly listen to those. People have preferences. And not liking specific songs or albums doesn’t make me any less of a fan.
@@oneout5143 yes it doesn't what I say always abt solo stan is one thing that they don't have any right to shade hate and dirty comments on other members. If you have different music taste so it's ok no one is pointing you out, I'm talking about akgaes .Listen whatever you enjoy, and when i say ARMY(ami) that's means friends and supporters of BTS no matter what.
@@oneout5143 When you mean TRY, does that mean you haven’t even listened to Jimin’s, Jin’s, Yoongi’s and Jhope’s, and Jungkook’s (Seven) concept or even listen to the album/Single without even trying?!?!? Jimin’s concept is basically how he felt during the quarantine/pandemic so you don’t like the concept of someone going through psychological distress and overcoming it and the same with Yoongi’s concept of his album which is finding freedom through his music and to continue to live genuinely and honesty as himself. You said that you only follow Jhope because of his good fashion which is good because he has great fashion but not following the other members on Instagram is kinda solo Stan’s behavior like it’s not hard to follow someone especially if you like group BTS because at the end of the day, they are still in BTS and supporting every member is #1 in the Army handbook especially when Taehyung said and I quote “Please love all seven of us without leaving any members behind“. From what I read it seems like you didn’t like the concept of Jack In The Box concept either because all you mentioned of Jhope was that you follow him because of his great fashion sense but if you don’t like the concept of him discussing themes of passion, ambition and humanity and insecurity and success and anxiety about the future in different genres is something I can’t stand. Jungkook’s concept in his single and the meaning of Seven is wanting to be with the person you love all the time, seven days a week which is so sweet. Also, freaking Jin’s concept with “The Astronaut” concept is about an alien visiting planet earth in finding delight and wonder along the way and the message of his song is for Army which makes the song hit the heart so much that I can’t listen to it all the time because I start bawling because I miss Jin so much and to hear how much he loves Army is something so overwhelming. I would say the people who don’t follow the members individually are Armys because Armys are supposed to support them due to Army being OT7 but it’s okay to have a bias/bias wrecker but at the end of the day LOVE all the members. You sound like a solo stan. The differences between you and me is that as soon as the members came out and said that they are taking a hiatus to rest and using solo projects as a way to bring out ideas from themselves to help BTS be everlasting is a beautiful idea and a transition to growth, I knew I was going to support them no matter what because I love everything about BTS’ music so all the different genres come from each member so liking a solo project from them is seeing them do a genre or different genre and different message for each of them is what makes BTS who they are. Everyone listen and stream to every members solo projects and if you are a solo stan TRY to listen to all of they’re solo projects.
@@jessii4906 Just because Jimins concept was deep and emotional doesn’t mean this person doesn’t have to like it. I didn’t like. The message was good and I’m happy he is expressing that doesn’t take away from the fact that I didn’t like the way or the music.
My opinions on this persons opinions for the ppl who care enough to read lol 1. I agree - Not much to say cus they already said what i was thinking lol. I like what i like and if there’s a specific member/s who put out music that i vibe with, then i’m for sure gonna follow them more closely 💁🏽♀️ i’ll listen in into the other member’s music too but if i don’t vibe with it, 1 or 2 listens is what they’re gonna get unless their next cb suits my taste 🤷🏽♀️ 2. The amount of yt + ig comments and tiktoks that have come up on my fyp of ppl expressing their disdain towards leeseo and how she doesn’t “act” like a maknae and calling her boring is honestly kinda sickening. Being a maknae is being the youngest in the group, just like how being an unnie is being the oldest/one of the eldest in the group. It’s not something to compare unlike vocal, dance and rap positions. It’s like comparing babies, which is such a weird thing to do 💀 3. I haven’t really thought much abt this so i don’t really have an opinion 4. Also haven’t thought much abt this but i will say, i vibe w some of their songs lately 5. I agree - my girl gets hate for everything 💀 the way i’ve seen people bring up wonyoung in any scandal or controversy when she’s not even mentioned 💀 i’ve seen it so much that it’s kinda funny atp bcus why is the topic about another idol but you have to bring her up to make your point ‘relevant’ 💀 6. Ignore the A.I voice and unsourced content, These days, anti-KPOP related UA-cam is starting to appear. I'm guessing which country will lead, but I won't tell you here.
We understand this and the ones who have this personality THERES nothing wrong with that but they need to understand not every youngest member will be like this. Comparing hwasa to other maknaes is crazy because hwasa is a maknae but doesn’t act like a baby and that’s her own personality and people fail to understand it’s okay if your personality doesn’t match the way a maknae is expected to act it’s YOUR personality and if your members know you and know you don’t enjoy the babying situation then it’s okay for them to respect that is what they’re saying.
The first one I agree with because it’s just like not all of their solos can be up to your taste and just because you don’t listen to them it doesn’t mean you don’t support them or their group, you can still support them in many ways.

Once an Army literally called Seventeen a nugu group just because they are not in bb chart hot 200/100 .
I love your videos 💜💜
These are all very true.
Hey seb just saying I know you said you would post what you wanna post but I'm begging for more K-pop opinions 😭😭😭
They all have different goals and opinions about where and who they want their music to impact and Ik that all ARMYs hope that they accomplish them
- I Agree
- lmfao 💀
- True
- Yes ! It's me I am general public I couldn't vibe to their songs at all
- idk shit about this
- well I never cared about charts if I love a song I listen
2:09 I think it’s not really hard especially if your a multistan.
4:31 DON'T its a sickness lol
Jisung from NCT
Bruh you are not on Twitter, like they literally reporting playlist so that stream don't count for other member 😢
Solos are definitely worst ...they do support their fav. Member but if .other members song becomes big than they hate that member ...and try to sabotage them ...
Eg- Left and right is most popular solo song of 2022 than came like crazy in 2023 ...and is at peace of breaking lots of records ...so solos started attacking jimin and they are nasty ... supporting hate train by k-pop fans against jimin
After that came seven by jk ..nd that song shattered every record ..so solos started attacking jungkook now by calling him names and making wrong allegations and spreading misinformation
Solos/akegae never think of grp ....for them only thing matter is their fav. Like u can see them hating on the grp ...which the members in ...like most of solos support solo song over grp song
Eg take two and like crazy and seven
In k-pop everyone has bias ..but they do support every member also not liking discography is valid point but for that atleast give that a try ..
TXT ARE SO HARDWORKING AND PASSIONATE
My opinions on this persons opinions for the ppl who care enough to read lol
1. I agree - Not much to say cus they already said what i was thinking lol. I like what i like and if there’s a specific member/s who put out music that i vibe with, then i’m for sure gonna follow them more closely 💁🏽♀️ i’ll listen in into the other member’s music too but if i don’t vibe with it, 1 or 2 listens is what they’re gonna get unless their next cb suits my taste 🤷🏽♀️
2. I agree - Mainly bcus i’ve seen a lot of fearnots coming for (mainly) leeseo for not being like eunchae in the most shadiest ways, stating things like “no hate but le sserafim/eunchae…”, “eunchae best maknae unlike…”, “(to eunchae) THIS is what a maknae is” under almost every Ive content. It’s like comparing babies, which is such a weird thing to do 💀
3. I haven’t really thought much abt this so i don’t really have an opinion
4. Also haven’t thought much abt this but i will say, i vibe w some of their songs lately
5. I agree - my girl gets hate for everything 💀 the way i’ve seen people bring up wonyoung in any scandal or controversy when she’s not even mentioned 💀 i’ve seen it so much that it’s kinda funny atp bcus why is the topic about another idol but you have to bring her up to make your point ‘relevant’ 💀
6. I agree - people are gonna know them anyways cus they’re already so popular 🤷🏽♀️
Ignore the A.I voice and unsourced content, These days, anti-KPOP related UA-cam is starting to appear. I'm guessing which country will lead, but I won't tell you here.
lol im on the side that likes kep1ers music especially their b-sides
The third point is just nonsense. The point of the hate on 'privilege' is that the fans of groups that has it act like they don't have.
Sup seb, EVERGLOW-UP dropped a new video I think you might find interesting
Hi❤
Cant stand how nob koreans say macknay. Its pronounced mang-nae. And in korean culture, maknaes are sort of a big deal in how they are babied etc.
It's Big 3 + Hybe. Not Big 4. Get it right.
Kpop opinions and it's always on BTS and army being an anomaly. It sure piss off a lot of kpopies
Whats the context? If its about other groups fandoms, go ahead.
