I had clutch shudder on my 2012 Focus with 168k miles. It also began to skip gears. I reversed the clutch actuator motors (top to bottom, bottom to top) and everything cleared up. My mpg's also increased. I'll prob need to replace the motors in the near future but it's working perfectly for now. Thanks for your excellent advice. Hope all is well

Great information! I will say that I am not a believer in any single “fix it in a bottle” but that stuff, I have witnessed firsthand is the real deal. I’ll at times recommend it to my customers with a minor to moderate converter shudder (cough GM) making it understood that it may work for awhile if it does work but don’t count on it as a permanent fix. I’ve also used lubegard’s gear oil additive for limited slip differentials that’re creating a low speed vibration while turning with great success. I saw the title of the video and was like is lubegard so magical that it will somehow fix a dry clutch? Had to watch 😂

@frederickemitchell hi, thanks! In the video description, I have a link for a full clutch kit on amazon. Amazon does have cheaper kits too, but LuK is oem. The other kits may be lightly used oem parts

There are no 'aftermarket' kits made. All the ones out of China are just cleaned and painted used OEM parts.

With that ZF dual clutch, I feel they should teach folks how to drive that trans. Such as not holding a hill with applying throttle.

Hello, last night I watched the many videos you've made about the Ford DPS6.
Can you please make a video comparing :
    a) Ford MTX-75 gear select mechanism (not drum-based)
    b) Ford DPS6 gear select mechanism (two drums)
    c) Volkswagen DSG6 or DSG7 gear select mechanism (not drum-based)
Please note, as this only concerns "gear select" mechanisms, the word "cluch" and the word "fork" shall be absent.
By the way, is there a better word for describing a "not drum-based" gear select mechanism? ... I mean, a word that is not "fork"... This is because you are using the word "fork" when you are describing the working of a clutch assembly. Need to avoid confusion.
What are the pros and cons of a drum-based gear select mechanism?
Slower? Less accurate ? Less reliable ? Less costly ?
By the way, I think that the Gretrag 6DCT250 led to the Ford DPS6, then led to the Getrag 7DCT300 as urgent rescue, then also led to the infamous Getrag 7HDT300 (HEV & PHEV transmission) .
I think that the Getrag 7HDT300 was a scam because a) each time the electric motor needs to switch gear (2-4-6), a torque interruption (both on the petrol power path and the electric power path) is required prior disengaging the old electric gear, so the new electric gear can engage.
I think that the Getrag 7HDT300 was a scam because b) as there is no dedicated electric generator inside, the Getrag 7HDT300 cannot operate in series-hybrid mode.
I think that Geely in Ningbo (China) is the only company that considers that the Getrag 7DCT300 and Getrag 7HDT300 are good enough.
Since year 2019, Geely produces in Ningbo (China) the DCT330 (evolved Getrag 7DCT300).
Since year 2020, Geely produces in Ningbo (China) the DCT390 (evolved Getrag 7HDT300).
The "Lynk & Co 01" PHEV has the DCT390 inside.
PHEVs are due to proliferate, all the time it takes to install enough 120 kW superchargers, all the time it takes to install enough 2 kW handsfree inductive chargers, and all the time it takes to produce enough 15 kWh PHEV battery packs measuring 10 cm tall, by 120 cm long, by 45 cm wide, in other words a 54 liters volume whose volumetric energy density is 278 Wh per liter.
Assuming that a 45% real world volumetric efficiency can be achieved, speaking or a temperature-stabilized armored enclosure, the battery cells must exibit a 618 Wh per liter volumetric energy density, speaking of PHEV battery cells that can "4 C" rate recharge and "6 C" rate discharge.
Two above mentioned PHEV battery packs are required per vehicle for storing 30 kWh, hence for delivering a 180 kW continuous power @ 50% State-Of-Charge.
In case of cycling a 15 kWh energy (from the technically possiblle 30 kWh energy when new), 6000 cycles are feasible.
Considering that driving 100 km consume 18 kWh, a daily 83 km pure electric range is feasible.
Thus, a PHEV can emission-free run 498,000 km.
Adding 160,000 km driven in hybrid mode provides a 658,000 km combined vehicle endurance.
I need to assess the techical viability, weight and production cost of a 2-speed PowerShift transmission whose mecha input is the ICE crankshaft and whose mecha output is the differential crown. Electrification is materialized by the 30 kW 3-phase electric generator whose rotor is always driven by the ICE crankhaft. Electrification also materializes by the 150 kW 3-phase single-speed electric motor whose rotor always drives to the aforementioned differential crown.
Two different 40% efficient 1.5 liter 4-cyl inline ICEs shall exist
    - 150 Nm atmo
    - 280 Nm turbo
In 1st gear @ 3,600 rpm, the 120 Nm atmo engine (45 kW) is supposed to long-range tow 500 kg @ 120 km/h, despite some climb and headwind.
In 2st gear @ 2,400 rpm, the 120 Nm atmo engine (30 kW) is supposed to long-range drive @ 120 km/h without towing, without headwind, very economically.
    Have a good day
    Steph (from Brussels, Belgium country)

Since no clutches in the transmission oil, I'm going with an Amsoil product, and my girl's going to get a change coming up soon, I'm looking for advice on the most ideal fluid they offer, given no clutch dust will be in it. I was initially going to go with their DCT fluid, last year when I started thinking about a fluid change in it soon. Now however, another fluid may be a better option, since we're not looking for clutch-related friction mods. Hmmmmmmmmm 🤔

@DetroitMicroSound hi! Amsoil would be great. The dct fluid is good stuff, or you can use a low viscosity gl4 gear oil like 75w80. I like redline mtl

    Hello sir.
    I am having P0805 - Clutch Position Sensor A Circuit. and i Lost 1 3 6 gears.
I followed your vid to interchange A and B actuators. I relearned the TCM and all is good.
However, after 2days the problem returned.
    Still P0805.
I am now lost. 😭 I have New battery 2months ago and reset BCM. What should i Do next? Please help.
    Thabk you very much!

HI, clutch position sensor circuit codes usually end up being bad actuators - since your code didn't switch to B, I would check for a loose or damaged tcm ground under the air box (on the frame rail)
