I was 14 years old when this tournament took place in my home city. My dad and I attended several games and had the pleasure of meeting many players who were kind enough to sign autographs, etc. I keep fund memories of this event.
I suggest you check out another brilliant Tal's victory against Spassky, in their encounter in Tallinn in 1973. Tal basically refuted the whole variation of the Nimzo Indian (Leningrad System) and then proceeded to win the game with a brilliant combination.
Amazing game. I think of Spassky as being very good on defense, but he sure got clobbered here. He seemed nervous to take that pawn and instead put his queen in a vulnerable position.
John, could you please extend the end point of your videos 3 or 4 seconds at the end so us slow pokes can have a couple seconds to like or rewind? Maybe fill with some info or date or something that gives us at least 2 extra seconds? Thanks for the great programming!
Tempt Misha & u have to pay the price 😅 One must remember that he had a plus score against Fisher as well !! What a legend!! Can’t imagine how he would play if he had the help of Stockfish!! The likes of Kramnik would have died of being suspicious 😅😂
👇🏻 Petition to include the dawg in one of ChessDawg’s videos
ChessDawg, keep grinding
Amazing how simple that looks!

Wow, so cool!
That was an absolutely brilliant attack from an absolutely brilliant attacking player.
What a beautiful game. Thank you
Let’s jump right in
Yes, of course, but can we take an extra 2 seconds before we jump right out?
I’m not hitting the clock quite in time and don’t get a chance to rewind.
Wonderfully lucid explanation of the tactics . Thanks
Thanks for that new very instructive game
Tal was in beast mode.
You gotta do a *NEZHMETDINOV* game. Tal's trainer. Pretty please.
I love this channel ❤️
Thank you
Tal would sacrifice his pieces and attack his Mother in a game of checkers.
I love this channel

I hope this page will get the traction it truly deserves.
that rook lift... great patience
reminds me of that lasker quote about a better move...
good coverage as per usual ^_^
I greatly enjoy these instructive vignettes.
Mine was 300th like of this video! I like round numbers as much as I like your channel! 😁👍
What an amazing game.
Top game - thanks.

Middle-game carnage here. Sneaky.
Very seldom see the Queen Indian these days
First! 🎆

“Fischer is the greatest genius to descend from the chessic heavens.”
- Mikhail Tal
Beautiful rook lift by Tal, then a brutal bishop sacrifice to ensure victory.
Most impressive, especially considering his opponent.
