Normal people hate boring rook and pawn endgames too.
Id much rather have fun playing wild lines throwing pieces away in a mating attack rather than trading off and grinding out a one pawn edge in a boring pawn and king endgame. Probably end up drawing it via stalemate or getting flagged in a completely won position.

Morphy was a rarity. He had a natural brilliant aptitude for chess. I read a story about a civil war general, who asked a friend to set him up with a strong chess player in the area he was visiting, since he fancied himself a good player. The person who showed up, was a boy around 13 or younger. The General thought he was the butt of some joke, but the young boy, who played against him was none other than Paul Morphy, who had no trouble beating him.

Morphy beat him easily twice in a row, and was just 9 years old at the time. Morphy repeated a similar feat, defeating the visiting Hungarian master Johann Löwenthal in 1850, when he was 12.

If Tal blunders his queen, it can also be considered a winning sacrifice.

A completely fantastic Tal & Hoodie game. Tal clearly had to work fairly hard to win this one, especially as he had a bad cold. But Tal is really one of the most fascinating players to watch. Plus a particularly brilliant analysis by Mr Agadmator.

Shit Agad never has to apologize to me for making a Tal video. Started following your channel in 2016 and Tal had always been my favorite player before.
A good Tal game is like a cigarette. You feel decadent.
