FINALLY RHAPSODY!! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY
The most pompous, overblown, cheesy band ever
awesome band haha
amazing European metal band
Can't go wrong with some Italian cheese!
Finally NEW Rhapsody !
There are song out from Turilli / Lione RHAPSODY - Phoenix Rising (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO) ua-cam.com/video/67XM8w3o5mg/v-deo.html
-Emerald Sword
-The Power of the Dragonflame
Rhapsody 🔥🔥
It's hard to choose a Rhapsody of Fire song, their albums are meant to be listened to in totality. But Symphony of Enchanted Lands (the song itself) makes me cry every time.
Blind Guardian's Nightfall in Middle Earth is based on The Simarillion by JRR Tolkien and it's brilliant! All of the voice acting and the sound effects are just top notch.
Rhapsody- Symphony of the enchanted lands! or The Dark Tower of abyss
Symphony
No Emerald Sword??? But hooray for Rhapsody!!!
Luca Turilli - Prophet Of The Last Eclipse (the full version)
they are not ready
This. And an excellent song choice too.
No, they not ready, try with black dragon, after this, try demonheart, an then try prophet of the last eclipse
Yeah they are. They've done way longer complex songs then this. But who cares really. I'd love to see any Luca Turilli reaction.
"Mutilated , all dismembered, we'll soon rise to eat yout brain" that line is so fucking epic!, The beauty of this band is that the albums follow an epic story
The best of Rhapsody is the epic lyrics in every song. Is a history of medieval fantasy in one song. My favorite band in this life.
Same feeling my friend
Holy Thunderforce !!!! Great song by the same band. Too bad this band is pretty much gone. The only original member is the keyboardist and he hired all new members while the rest of the original band did a farewell tour lol. At least we still have Angra and Luca's multiple projects to keep us going.
Look up Turilli/Lione Rhapsody. More music is coming!
@@imkridegga9431 nah not the same music... Different
@@kingboem9736 That's a fair take. Some of the musicians are the same, but in the end it turned out to be a pretty different band with a similar, but ultimately different sound. I think at the time I made my original comment all I knew was that Luca and Fabio were going to make more music together and I had certain hopes for what that might entail. In some respects I was wrong, but in others I think I was right. Hindsight really is illuminating!
@@imkridegga9431 their new music is good but not what I personally expected... U know I was hoping dragons... Swords... Good versus evil plot.... Not this futuristic shit (my opinion) .....
Avantasia-the raven child
Ah, Rhapsody Of Fire, one of the chessiest bands I ever heard and still, extremely fun. They were known as Rhapsody (the album this songs is from comes the period they were Rhapsody) and then split in two bands, Rhapsody Of Fire and Luca Turilli's Rhapsody. Turilli always called this style "Hollywood Metal" and is very cinematic and big, they even had a song with Sir Christopher Lee called "The Magic Of Wizard's Dream" and I think also provided narration on other albums.
My favorite epic fantasy book ever is The Sirmarillion by J.R.R Tolkien and Blind Guardian, a band that have based a huge portion of their songs in the Middle Earth, did an amazing concept record about that particular book, Nightfall In The Middle Earth, listen to it on your free time, you are going to love it.
Please react to "Nothing Is Not" by Morbid Angel and "In Their Darkened Shrines" by Nile.
how is this cheesy? it sound majestic and expensive to me
@@TMPOUZI I agree with the majestic sound, it is what they they always aimed for, but usually that type of story is a bit cheesy. Now with that said I do enjoy cheese, the epicness of the battles and fights, the imagination used to create different worlds and races and cultures, the possibilities with the language (the using of archaic words and expressions, creating a new one or a bunch of them, if you are that creative, etc.), that's all great but there are some cliches and tropes that define the genre, any genre for that. Plus when I was 15 - 20 (from 1998 to 2003), Power Metal seemed to really took off and it seemed that every metal band needed an ultra high - pitched singer the guitar or guitar players playing a lot of power notes really fast, lots of keybords, lots of double bass drums and a bass buried under the huge choruses and everything else, which ended up exhausting me.
At the end of the day cheesy can be a lot of fun, you just have to embrace it.
they changed to rhapsody of fire before the split noob
The Italian version of The Magic of a Wizard's Dream is amazing!
Cheesy
How fkin dare you have that opinion
blind guardian -the bard's song
They really should do the entire Nightfall... Album - it's a Power Metal Classic
LIVE
I got teary eyed when they played this song live
Well, if you want Tolkien themes in metal...
Then the greatest Tolkien based band of all time, Summoning, is the way to go. Atmospheric black metal, which is dedicated to the writings of Tolkien the great, creator of folklore to an entire nation (Based on the old Saxon and Norse epics), veteran of ww1 and one of the most humble and kind men of all time. The hero of heroes, who wrote the greatest tragic love tale around his and his wife's own story and if you visit their joint grave today, you'll see "Luthien" and "Berren" right next to their names. The legend whose prose reads as singing, because he thought of how the words would sound next to each other. You'll never read the same words twice, not even 20 pages.
*Rest in peace our father!* You changed the world.
So Summoning - "Land of the Dead", or "Old Mornings Dawn" are good way to go.
Do Gargoyles Angels of Darkness by Rhaposdy of Fire. You won´t regret it ;)
That or "Queen Of The Dark Horizons" both are top tier Rhapsody songs.
Yep, this song is amazing.
SAVATAGE!
A big, classic band with some of the best lyrics in Metal.
Morphine Child, When the Crods are Gone, St. Patrick's, Chance...
Cheers!
Absolutely! Savatage is an outstanding band, and shamefully underrated, considering that they're arguably the progenitor of modern progressive metal.
I vote for the song Chance!
I'm all in on Savatage.
@vinandsori.com please do these guys soon.
Hall of The Mountain King
Hounds
Summers Rain
Wake of Magellan
The Hour Glass
Gutter Ballet
Too many great songs from an underrated band.
Jesus Saves!
I was just thinking St. Patricks myself. Five minutes later I see this post. Should be an interesting reaction.
Yngwie J. Malmsteen - Far Beyond the Sun
Or "Black Star", or "Seventh Sign" in case they need something with lyrics.
This is one of their "epics", the song that closes the album and rounds up the story told in them. And it's not one of their most known epics so I was surprised when I read the title. But it's a very good song nonetheless, and it describes Rhapsody perfectly. If you're interested in "normal" songs from them, I'd recommend Emerald Sword, Dawn of Victory, Riding the Wings of Eternity and Knightrider of Doom (yeah that's the word, these guys have a knack for inventing words that don't exist in the english language, it's hilarious).
Blind Guardian - Valhalla live
Ok, wait. What about Blind Guardian? MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL!
Some other solid songs by this band:
Reign Of Terror, When Demons Awake, Wisdom Of The Kings & Into The Legend.
Also, Twilight Force is another band very similar to this, except they take themselves much less seriously. They're way more lighthearted.
Emerald Sword will always be their most legendary song and set the standard for this style of metal! That whole album is the standard for this genre, so amazing! Tied with Labyrinth and their album Return to Heaven Denied.
Anthrax - In the End, In My World, Indians, Inside Out and What Doesn't Die
Good stuff! You should try some of Luca Turilli’s solo stuff - e.g. King of the Nordic Twilight
Fk yes!
Blind Guardian - Valhalla - Live. It's all that I need please :3
In the next month or so Blind Guardian will be done.
To be specific, it's the live version from "Imaginations Through The Looking Glass". This one of the best crowd reactions during a live Metal performance ever. The crowd is what makes this version so fucking amazing!
or Mirror Mirror, Fly, Tanelorn into the Void ,Majesty, The Bard´s Song
Me too,
Helloween- Keeper of the seven keys
Caught Somewhere in Time by Iron Maiden 🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘🤘🤟🤘🤟🤘🤘
Thank you so much for doing this. You’re my favorite metal reactors and this is my favorite band, no one ever looks into them as much as they should and it feels great to see them get the recognition they deserved. They have a sequel saga spread throughout 5 other albums also. Keep doing great videos! 👍🏽
Fleshgod apocalypse The violation video!!!
I agree, it must be done!
@@xRuralJuroRx anything from the King album would be best since it's more orchestrated and has more going on in it
Angra - The Shadow Hunter
Arch Enemy - We Will Rise + Fields of Desolation (LIVE Tyrants of the Rising Sun)
YES!!! LOVE THIS BAND! Very unexpected but very welcome! How about some German symphonic power metal, I know someone gave you some 😜 Xandria : nightfall, prophecy of words, euphoria, soulcrusher, sacraficium! Even better and with a lovely female singer. Xori, what the hell is an attic taste like?
Glad you seem to feel better Sori!!
Hammerfall- Hearts on fire
Rhapsody -Holy thundrerforce
Love these guys. My favorites are Holy Thunderforce and On the Way to Ainor. But this is a great song. Incredibly cheesy as all Rhapsody is, but still fantastic at what they do. I do tend to like their earlier songs that were less symphonic and more metal. Unleash the Archers (Vin and Sori favorites) is doing a multiple album story with the album you heard a song from (Awakening). Apex was just the first part of the larger story.
In the song, the Hero (warrior of Ice) was imprisoned alongside Airin and her father Arwald. When Arwald is thrown into a pit of acid, he throws acid on the Hero's chains, freeing him. He kills a bunch of demons and escapes through the river. .
The separation of the albuns, storywise, is pretty well done.
1st album: introduction to the plot, the main character and his quest to find the Emerald sword to defeat Akron.
2nd album: The whole quest to find the sword.
3rd: The hero has the sword and goes to war. The hero and his army are defeated, Akron captures him an takes the holy sword.
4th album: Describes the evil deeds of Akron and his demon's now that he has the Emerald Sword.
5th: The hero join forces and the final epic battle happens.
Can you please react to "Of Michael the Archangel and Lucifer's Fall" from LT's Rhapsody?
Rhapsody-Dawn of Victory
@VinAnd Sori
Sori, when music has abrupt notes like what you were describing they are generally referred to as staccatos. That goes for whether they’re doing it vocally or musically.
Angra - The Shadow Hunter
Less cheesy Power Metal, mixed with Brazilian influences(Angra is from Brazil). Plus this particular song is part of a concept album about a crusader questioning why he is part of such an evil and murderous group.
Do Defenders of Gaia also from Rhapsody of fire. It's an ode of respect to mother Earth.
Please, if you loved this, you will LOVE Ancient Bards - A New Dawn Ending (the title track of the album). I think they are an even better band than Rhapsody when it comes to portray fantasy stories into metal songs. I can feel like Rhapsody are sometimes all over the place, whereas Ancient Bards have more consistency, on their saga (The Black Crystal Sword Saga) and their music.
Celtic Frost - Return to the Eve.... Just found this channel and I've been binge watching. Love it, you guys are awesome! Thanks, keep up the great work!!
I love that you have cradle of filth and rhapsody on your channel, i don’t know how I missed this reaction but glad I found it
“This tastes like an attic” sori 2019
More power metal! 🤘🏻 Helloween ☆ Keeper of the seven keys 🎃
Rhapsody............... One of my TOP bands of all time.. And I started listening to Rock-Metal since 1985......
Fabio´s voice is outstanding.
Fabio Lione now sings in Angra, a brazilian band.
Please react to Angra - The Shadow Hunter
Old band from the new lead guitarist of Megadeth
Brazilian metal
🤘🏼🎸🎸🎸 br
My teenage years! Rhapsody were awesome!
I discover the sound at 16 in 2014
This song has passages that are references for an earlier Rhapsody song, "Eternal Glory".
Yep, the pre-chorus has the leitmotif of Eternal Glory and a part later on in the song is basically a redo of Lux Triumphans, the first track of this album
Oh, and one more request.
Kreator- "Violent Revolution"
I need to go play some Dungeons and Dragons right now.
I know you probably have a bunch of band to listen to, but one day you have to listen to bal-sagoth, an epic symphonic black metal band, its a one of kind, similar to this in the sense that their albums are based on their own fantasy world, look up the album battle magic, one of their best IMO.
Bal-Sagoth is a very unique experience, no doubt!!👍🏼
Great video
The intro reminded me of Final Fantasy VI and the song overall gave me Castlevania vibes for some reason. I liked it.
I can see the Castlevania thing.
And i fell more dark souls
Emerald Sword should be main theme in, but manager of Rhapsody wanted for money and lost this opportunity.
Nothing but pure joy!
Kinda disappointed this song was picked over "Dawn of Victory" (same album and everything), which has the most "impossible to not sing along to" chorus in Power Metal. Still good stuff though, and yeah, they went above and beyond with the storylines they use for the lyrics.
Casual request for Edge of Sanity - Twilight, since I'm posting a comment anyway.
No, Edge of Sanity - Crimson part 1 and 2.
Agreed on Dawn of Victory - people always wanna pick complex songs from the get go and they usually have the inverse impact that the person choosing would want them to have. Just give them something fun to jam out to, "Octavarium" is one of my favourite Dream Theater songs but that's just not what you give to someone who's never heard of them before.
Just listened to Twilight several times today! Dan Swano is seriously the most genius musician on this planet!
@@vigridr7614 this is pretty much the major defect of most reaction channels. people just are stupid are recommending stuff, they put their personal preferences over a well thought out selection for the people making the video.
Thats an exelent choice for a song to listen!!!
All these guys albums are concept albums with a big storyline behind them, so it would be difficult to pick out just one song and understand what's going on.
Also, the guitar solos are very Yngwie Malmsteen-like.
Can I suggest _Land of Immortals_ by _Rhapsody_ (which is what the band was initially called)
Please react to Angra - The Shadow Hunter
Old band from the new lead guitarist of Megadeth
Brazilian metal
They surely need to react to Angra. By the way, has any big reaction channel done Angra before?
@@lino2048 only small channels
@@pedroprado5628 That's bad, they're one of the best Power/Prog bands out there, maybe that's the reason why Kiko Loureiro was invited to join Megadeth.
Last song of their third album. How nostalgic!
Symphonic metal week PLEASEEEE I CRI
This song brings me soo much nostalgic moments.
Rhapsody of Fire - Beyond the Gates of Infinity.
You said Rocky!!!!!!!!
Victory.
King Diamond released a new live video a few days ago. It's from the upcoming blu-ray release on Jan. 25th.
King Diamond "Arrival (Live at Graspop)" (OFFICIAL)[35,888+ views]
Awesome 👏🏻 video
and after this Dragonforce is a foregone conclusion :)
Rhapsody of Fire - "Magic of the wizard´s dream" with Christopher Lee
I used to be a big fan of both Rhapsody AND the 'Sword of Truth' books. Lots of nostalgia in this vid!
Dude!!! I used to listen to this song in a looping when I was 14/15 years old. This made me feel nostalgic :')
I'm also very happy, thanks vin and sori!!
You get some Mead! And you get some Mead!! Everybody gets some Mead!!! 🍺🍺🍺
Moonspell - Night Eternal
Opeth - Demon of the Fall!!
Maybe in a year or two haha, even enticing Vin whose a big fan of live performances with the Roundhouse Tapes version it doesn't seem to be happening!
You should definitely try out some Blind Guardian. Maybe "Imaginations from the other side" or "And then there was silence" or "Curse my name". Actually, you can just pick any random song by Blind Guardian :)
nice react pleace react to The Wizard's Last Rhymes - Rhapsody of Fire
"The Clincher" by Chevelle!
you know you wanna do it!!
Yeah, it's pretty much a concept album. I would have suggested the homonymous song "Dawn of Victory". Far more appealing than this one that you've picked up. In any case, their vocalist now sings in a Brazilian band called Angra (which I strongly recomend), whose ex-guitarist and founder Kiko Loureiro now plays with Megadeth.
Morbid angel - chapel of ghouls
Love that you guys are doing some neoclassic metal. A tip is to check out the pioneer and inventor of this genre, Yngwie Malmsteen (like me he is Swedish) who’s also top ten guitarists of all time (TIME magazine). ”Seventh Sign” is cool. Or ”I’ll See The Light”
finally!!!!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! This is the next level of music!
Anathema - Internal Landscapes
I wish!
Rhapsody is that band that always surprise you, I hope you can react to some other songs of them, they always bring different melodies and arrengements from the darkest to the shinest n epicness choruses..u could be the first channel to give the attention that Rhapsody deserves
Vin, I read the sword of truth as well! Also, Ayreon does the same thing, but within a more prog rock/metal sound.
It finally happened. How is it possible that all this dozens of reaction channels are never reacting to this guys
If you like this type of "fantasy" oriented music, but want a really different type of power metal you could do a reaction to Twilight Force - Powerwind or Flight of the Sapphire Dragon. They are not so serious about the whole orchestral, mystical sound but more on a fun and magical experience.
Twilight Force is Rhapsody-worship. They're a great band and I like their stuff, but I wouldn't characterize them as being all that different from Rhapsody. They just added bells and mixed it so the guitars don't stand out as much. It would still be interesting to hear what Vin and Sori have to say about them though (something tells me Vin wouldn't like them, but Sori might).
Rhapsody is amazing
Aahhh,Rhapsody ❤️❤️
Some good old power metal. Finally!
Luca Turilli wrote the Emerald Sword Saga (5 album) and the sequel, the Dark Secret (5 album)
Primordial "nail their tongues" x
White Zombie- Thunder Kiss 65'
Awesome song and awesome reaction, thank you very much for not ruining the epic flow of the song with useless comments as many do
RHAPSODY!
Hey guys you should do a band called ERRA, i'm positive you haven't reacted to anything like them.
Songs i would recommnend are:
Render the Void.
Dementia.
Our Translucent Forever.
Safehaven.
Best regards!
Wow, first time you picked up the right song to start with. At least musically. Its pretty good song.
Rhapsody - Dawn of Victory
Blind Guardian - Ashes to Ashes
Sonata Arctica - Wolf and Raven
Stratovarius - Speed of Light
Angra - Running Alone
Rhapsody of Fire songs are like oral sagas, where each albums is about a story, like if it was told by a storyteller, a chronicler or a bard.
From the last track to the last, its like a Huge Opera piece, so yeah picking one song, is like picking one scene or verse from a movie or poem.
In a sense its the epitomy of Power Metal, Epic songs, depicting Epic Stories of heroes, Gods and Creatures.
Blind Guardians first albums where litteraly songs about the Lord of the Rings!
You have bands like Warmaster and Bolt Thrower who's all about Warhammer 40.000.
Blind Guardian - Valhalla live, my 50th request
