If I understood the whole thing correctly then the aim is to turning off the working light when photographing... Then.. These all can be done with a 3.5 mm headphone jack as remote trigger with Arduino, just set the cam with a delayed shutter internally or externally (with or without delayed shutter) with a relay or FET or might be directly from a digital out. Just keep a big arcade button and read that with Arduino and assign the functions accordingly.
What you say it is interesting and possible, the interesting thing about using the box is that all is controlled from the software and you can also turn it off without taking a picture if you need to check something. But as I said if someone doesn't have the dmx box, your point is a good solution.
@@edupuertasfruns Thank you for responding. I agree, a professional solution is for professionals is absolute. We are the hobbyists are hesitant to invest a big amount , so, I just took the opportunity to informing the community that a cheaper (might not be the simplest) solution exists. About the one software control - I am a supporter of full hardware access with multi knobs❤️( that one can use to interrupt the shutter / light relationship). Still a simple GUI can be made in phone or a dashboard with python for pc, even a standalone triggering as a cascade from the only arcade button as I mentioned previously, ... If required multiple revisions will be necessary to fully match the workflow. But the biggest drawback is- it needs time and efforts..
Great video! I am a stop-motion student and I learn alot from your videos. :) Can I ask how you make small working lights, for example like the flashlight the girl is holding? Or like a small bedside table lamp? I am always wondering how to make such tiny working lights in stop-motion. Greeting, Marie
Thank you! As usual your videos are very usefull! I have godox lights vl300 and vl150 without DMX function on their controller-boxes. Hm, does it mean that there are no variants to connect dmx? Maybe I can buy another controller-box?
Thanks a lot dear Edu for all your work :-) Do you know what the advantage would be with this Dragonfrane controller over the Enttec Usb pro? Best regards, robert glotzbach
Hola Edu…
Would you be able to share the arduino code? Or link to website we can find it? I need to watch the bash light section closer and slower to understand how you did that (dragonframe didn’t seem to have info on setting up bash light).
Hi, seems complicated but it is not. You can use dmx to make a light be a bash light or the 2 methods I show. I got the code from here: www.viralsciencecreativity.com/post/arduino-push-button-relay-control
Hi, can you help for a choice? I have a Lumix g80 (g85) and I don't know what lens I have to buy for stop motion. I've seen some macros but i'm not quite sure what to buy. It'is mainly for a short project, not ultimate professional level but decent good. Do you have any suggestions on how to move?
Hello! First i love your channel theres not alot of srop motion channels over there so youre makinga really nice job! Secondly, i saw you were using drangonframe as a softwar, but you know for beginners its too expensive 200$ i cant afford that, do you ha e any software suggestion similar to dragonframe please? Whst imports me is beeing capable of seeing what is having onion skin and can export in full hd, i have an old camera tho canon 7d i wish it will be compatible, ir i guess i'll have to wait till i can purchase it
Hey people, light exposures are great when your lights aren't powerful enough, can't tell you how many times this have solved a problem to me.
Can you explain the process a little further - how you combine the different exposures and the resulting effect? Nice topic!!
This is great! Thanks
Awesome!
thanks your tutorial, I Like it from Indonesia
Thank you!!!
Have been waiting for you 😊
great tips ... thanks!
thanks for the lesson, i really find it helpful
What is that plug with no cable coming out of it at 3:54 called? What is the purpose of that? Thanks!!
It is the end of line cable, it closes de loop of dmx, it is necessary

How much does a setup like this cost? And what would be the cheapest way to get started?
The box is under 300 dollars and then what you spend in lights
I would rather spend that in one of your beautiful winders 😁
