Dear Charnie! Glad you could find desired stamps! I would buy all these stamps with these girls!! They are all amazingly beautiful stamps!!! But girl of Bora Bora is of course most beautiful stamp!!!
Hi Roman and Nikolai. The more I get to know the stamps of French colonies, and especially of tropical islands, the more I find them very beautiful! Most of the stamps of French Polynesia I saw so far are not very expensive. You are right, the girl of Bora Bora is exceptionally beautiful! Very well designed and engraved. Thank you for watching some of my older videos. I really appreciate it so much! It takes a lot of valuable time to watch videos, and I appreciate your time! 🙂
good afternoon Charnie. Thank you very much for the interesting video. I am very glad that you found the brands you were looking for. The Bora Bora brand is really very beautiful, I also wanted to have this brand. I wish you fulfillment of all your desires.
Hallo Alexander, I appreciate your watching and commenting so much! I was very glad to find the Bora Bora girl stamp. It is really a beautiful stamp. I hope you will also get one!!!! Best wishes! 🙂
That was amazing!! I was actually stressing out when you took us to the third dealer after not finding her at the first two 😅. Woohoo 🙌 those are beautiful stamps that you picked up, well done Charnie, this video was lots of fun 😊
Hi Graham, you are always so kind and positive! Thank you for watching and for your comment! You make such amazing videos. Thanks for introducing me to the Girl of Bora Bora stamp, your excellent video about it and that I could use a clip from your video! It elevates my video as well. Yes, by the second dealer I also got a bit despondent, but that made the excitement to find her even more. 🙂🙂🙂🎉🥇

One of my all-time favorite stamps! A real masterpiece exquisitely engraved by Pierre Gandon (my favorite illustrator and engraver, along with Albert Decaris !) Thank you so much for your joy and passion, Charnie.
I am going to look at all the stamps designed and engraved by Pierre Gandon and also Albert Decaris. This is like getting to know excellent artists! Thanks for your interesting comment, Laurent, and for watching!
@@GreatStampAdventure You're very welcome, Charnie! You will absolutely love Pierre Gandon's stamps. As for Albert Decaris, he has a unique style that might not be for everybody, but I fell in love with his work. I have several signed engravings from this great artist (1901-1988). Sending my ever best wishes from Provence!
That's a great video. I looked everywhere for the Bora Bora stamp and eventually found one in.......wait for it.....Russia! It arrived OK through the post, and you're right, it's a beautiful stamp!
Hi Rick! I am glad for you that you found her! Russia of all places. The more I looked at the detail of the stamps, and how well e.g. her face was "drawn", the more I liked it. Thank you for watching and thank you for commenting! I appreciate it very much.
If ever there was a counterpart in the stamp world to the painting of the Mona Lisa, the Bora Bora girl has to be at least a contender. After seeing Brian Beck's take on this remarkable stamp, I was immediately smitten and went on the prowl to try securing it for my collection. Eventually I succeeded but it wasn't easy. Though not an inordinately expensive stamp, it took a long time for me to finally land it. I'm guessing because of the detailed video of your quest to obtain it at the stamp show, as well as Brian's film, the stamp has become widely know and now everyone wants to get their hands on it.
Hi Gerry, your comment is very interesting. 🙂 The more one looks at the Bora Bora girl stamp, the more beautiful she becomes and the more one realizes how well it has been done. You are right about her beauty! Graham Beck has the largest part in putting attention on her. His channel is far superior to mine. 🙂I am glad you eventually got her as well! I was truly amazed that I could find her with my first attempt! Thank you tremendously for watching and writing such a nice comment. Take care! 😊😊😊
Hi Fran, I also think the Bluenose is lovely. It was a bit expensive for me, but now it is mine and I can stare at it any time I want. 🙂 Thank you very, very much for watching and for your comment!
Congratulations on finding the stamp! I've never been to a stamp or postcard fair before, but it looked fun! I haven't been collecting stamps for myself, just to give them away, but I'm starting to think I should start my own collection too😊
Hi Panda! 🙂 Maybe you should put your toes in it and start to collect from the stamps you get a small collection of a country or topic you really, really like. I think you will enjoy it! 😃 And a stamp fair is fun. 😃 Thanks so much for watching!!!

So many times, I have watched someone's video and said to myself "I have to have that stamp", I am so glad that there are other people who are just like me. 😀Great video Charnie!

The Bluenose is jice too, one I still need to get/find. I am looking forward to the follow up video. Nice to see you in action, hunting at the fair!
Hi Chris! I was amazed to find both stamps at the Fair! I really liked the French Polynesian stamps, and almost bought a few right there and then. But I promised myself I will be less impulsive with buying at least until I sorted a bulk of what I already bought. I also thought I will try to find an old album or a mix of French Polynesian stamps to possibly buy them at a good price per stamp. But, I know about them now, and they are in my mind. I will be on the look out for them from now on. I don't think it as another country I will focus on, but who knows. Thanks tremendously for watching and commenting! I am so glad you liked the video. Hi! Thanks for watching!!! All the things that happen around the stamps are so exciting. I don't understand why all people don't think philately is exciting. 🙂 I was actually amazed that I found the stamp. It is a relatively small Fair and I was not sure what I will find at all. Best wishes to you!
Hi Charnie I can watch another episode today and comment again! Thanks for taking us with you to the fair. I'm so glad you found that beautiful stamp - did you know your bracelet matches the stamp colors at the very end scene? It's perfect! Also happy to see your Bluenose there! Happy collecting I'm hoping to keep watching your channel more when I can!
Hi again, Lisa!!! Wow, thanks for your time to watch another video of mine, and commenting as well! I understand 100% if someone can not watch everything or even most of the videos on a topic!!!! Making the stamp even more special for me. ... I did not notice the matching bracelet! Quite unintentional. 😆 I will quickly watch to see it. Thanks again for watching!
Hey Charnie, that was a great find👌. I have also ventured into my quest to acquire the Bora Bora girl stamp after watching Graham's episode. I have acquired a couple of them including a cover. It's always very exciting to collect some amazing stamps when you come to know about the history and thanks to Graham for sharing an excellent video of this French Polynesian Stamp. Great video again, you've picked up some amazing stamps, thank you for sharing!!😊😊

Thanks for your positive comment. I am so glad you enjoyed the video. It means a lot to me! Very best regards! 🙂🙂
Hi Charnie. An enjoyable episode. Few months earlier, I intended to do a series on French overseas territories. In fact. on October 25, I was going through my French collection and its overseas territories ... while doing a post on insta on a French stamp on Pablo Picasso whose birth anniversary it was while arranging my New Caledonia stamps. And a day later I landed on this video. I may now be influenced to do a small post on French Polynesia in philately highlighting one of the six stamps of the overseas French territory that I have. Keep up the good work on your end, and hope your interviews episode comes up soon. Your enthusisam brightens up my day/night.
Hi Basil! Yes! Serendipity! You must definitely do a series on the French overseas territories and your stamps of them!!!! The more I see of them, the more I think the French designed stamps are generally some of the most beautiful stamps, at least in my eyes! I am always amazed at your general knowledge and excellent comments. Thanks so much for watching and your positive comment! Special greetings to you. 🙂
I collect only French Polynesia/Tahiti and Pitcairn Island stamps and I had to look in my 100's of doubles for the Bora Bora Girl stamp. Of course I don't have extras of that one. But I realized French Polynesia has some really beautiful stamps.
Hi! You must have a beautiful collection!!! I wish I could see it. The stamps are really beautiful and so tropical. 🌴I loved them. 🙂 She is not an "easy" girl. 😄 Thanks for watching and commenting. Best regards!
We are the French Polynesia stamp club & we specialized French Polynesia only.. We assumed you are a Specialist in both Tahiti & Pitcairn. Do you collect sheets & Proofs also? just curious.
@@lanuiiohu I wish I could afford those but no. By the way, do you know about the Street Art issue from 2016? I was looking for the sheet or the first day cover but they seem to be impossible to find. Thanks
I heard that they are relatively scarce. The next fair I bought all the Girl of Bora Bora stamps that the dealer had. I think in future I will afford giveaways and include the duplicates in giveaway presents. Thanks for watching and commenting, Eric!!!
@@GreatStampAdventure That would be so kind. I like those tranquil canoe, hut and lagoon scenes that a few countries produced yrs. ago. That is what collecting is all about; thematic and not completions.
@@ericbond5276 I also like those tranquil stamps very much, especially in those colours used in the French colonies. Thematic collecting does focus on what one really likes. Take care! 🙂
Hi Dan! I am glad to see you here and thanks for watching!!! You don't have a 'Blue Nose' - you must buy yourself one immediately! 🙂 It was not cheap, but also not SO expensive. Take care!! 🙂
Hello Charnie, I just a search for the Bluenose and prices range from $75 to $500. I will have to wait and save up some money. They were all Mint never hinged.
That is pretty expensive! I paid NZ$30 (about US$17) for the used one I bought, and the cancellation and centering of the stamp were not the best. I decided to buy it, though it was pretty expensive for me) because I could not see how I will be able to buy a mint copy. I also didn't buy anything else that day except the relatively affordable Bora Bora girl stamps. I will keep my eyes open. If I see a very affordable one, e.g. on our local TradeMe I will let you know and I could possibly buy it for you? 🙂@@danielste-marie779
Our French Polynesian stamp club collect Girl of Bora Bora stamp as specialty. We have it in poof, sheet & block just for this particular stamp. This stamp is becoming less & less available to pubic as time passes
La Orana! I hope it means "hello" to you. 🙂Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Wow, someone from a stamp club that collect the Girl of Bora Bora stamp as a speciality! I wish I could see all the items you have. It must be magnificent! I really like the stamp! It is very interesting that the Bora Bora Girl stamp is becoming more scarce! Maybe it could eventually even be an investment. I just like to look at it because it is so beautiful. Thanks again for watching! Greetings here from New Zealand!
@@GreatStampAdventure La Orana, you understand our Tahitian language very well. This stamp Bora Bora girl is the center of our collection. We have several New Zealanders travel all the way to Tahiti just to purchase Bora Bora girl stamp in proof which is very rare, they're flew to Tahiti & buy it in person. That shows how important this item is. There are less than 50 proofs left in the world.
La Orana, Lanuiiohu! I must confess, I had to look up the Tahitian word for "hello". It is a beautiful word. I love languages, but unfortunately I find it difficult to learn a new language. Wow! I didn't realize the Bora Bora girl stamp is so well-known and sought after! It must be special for people to specially travel to you to buy a proof. great video - thank you for that! I also have some videos here on youtube - not so much action as you have, but you might like them - about rare stamps, which do not cost a fortune. :-) Keep on making new videos, the more people do it, the better for philately! We have to support our hobby.
Hi Radek, pleased to meet you. 🙂Thank you for watching and commenting! I agree, the more videos and the more creators of philately videos, the better. I visited your channel and subscribed to support you. I loved your library!!!! It is beautiful! You are also a very neat and exact person, I think. 🙂Unfortunately I could not understand, which was bad, because I could not really follow. Your subtitles in which one can find auto-translations was not available at your video. I think you can activate this. It will really be wonderful if I could watch you videos and understand. Are you speaking in Russian? Not all my videos are so active, mostly just when I am able to visit something like a stamp fair, which will not be frequent, unfortunately. Thanks again for watching!
@@GreatStampAdventure Thank you! Well, the videos in my chanel which have English name are also in English (OK, with my Czech accent). Keep on making videos, they are great!
Oh, I didn't notice you have videos in English as well. I will check them out. I think when you upload a video, you can choose subtitles. I am not sure. Watching videos puts time in fast forward, and there is just not enough time! Yes, I am glad I bought the Bluenose, and I loved your video about the stamp!!!!!
Hi JC! Yes, Graham's videos are excellent and inspirational! I just love his channel! Congratulations for also finding the Bora Bora girl stamp! I would have liked to find a cover as well.
Thanks
Happy for you. I got a few used on auction sites recently. Hard to find.
Take care! 🙂
Great video. Nice stamps you purchased. I am jealous as I do not have the 'Blue Nose' yet.
Thank you so much for writing, and please stay in contact. Is your stamp club large and very active? @@lanuiiohu
great video - thank you for that!
Those described in Czech are Czech - it sounds similar to Russian :-) So you probably watched those Czech videos :-) I will have a look how to activate the subtitles - thank you for the idea - I am sure more people might appreciate it. Keep on making videos, they are great!
Oh, I didn't notice you have videos in English as well. I will check them out. I think when you upload a video, you can choose subtitles. I am not sure. I watch two Russian stamp channels with translation and the translation is not too bad. And thanks again for your positive comment on my videos!@@radeknovak1243 🙂
@@GreatStampAdventure I will do so - thank you once again for your ideas how to improve! Looking forward to your next videos! 👍
France's Marianne stamp is nice. Yeah rabbit hole re themes. Be selective.
Awww, but it is very hard to be selective when then are so many beautiful stamps! 😯🙂Thanks for watching and commenting, Eric!
Very easy when I see my checkbook dwindling. lol. Social security goes only so far. I like to keep my thematics in a stock book.@@GreatStampAdventure
You might like the cute Japanese boy 1949 year of the children and the 1952 Japanese red cross lady too.
More rabbit holes! 🙄🙂 I googled the stamps and they are beautiful. Eric, do you know if they won any awards? I decided to collect a topical collection of stamps who won "major" awards for any aspect of them. It is even difficult to track down the awards being given worldwide. Thanks for the suggestions.@@ericbond5276
You're most welcome! No I don't know re. awards.@@GreatStampAdventure
