- I came across this DVD set claiming to have 375+ printable stamp albums of countries all over the world. It comes as a 2 DVD set. Here I share what the pages are like and my thoughts on if it was worth it. I'm still undecided and personally would perhaps like the pages to be a bit cleaner but for the price, I think it is a fair deal especially when considering the amount of albums. I hope someone out there might find some benefit from me sharing this info!

Hi Kyle, I went in the same direction but used "Stamp Albums Web" aka Steiner Pages. The price is very reasonable and has pages for virtually every stamp in the Scott Catalog. The files are all PDF files that you can download, but luckily I purchased a CD years ago that also included the source files so I can edit the pages.
Palo Hingless Albums are based on the Steiner pages. I have Palo Hingless Albums for my early US stamps. IMHO, Palo Albums are great but the cost only makes sense for my most expensive stamps.
Yeah, I wish Palo was cheaper 😅
I use Steiner pages too. You can get access to all pages for a year for $50 and download what you need. I also easily convert them to Powerpoint in order to edit them. You can change the font, add additional text, photos, historical info, etc. Works great.
I don't know pdf format well enough, but if you could edit those pages and e.g. clone out the things you REALLY do not want on a page, it should be fine. If you don't have the money for super expensive albums this is probably a good option. At least one will have albums for even your "less important" collections. Thanks for showing, Kyle. Another option on the table. 🙂
Well said! 👍
I WOULD HAVELOVED TO GET HOLD OF THAT BARGAIN MY FRIEND.
Thank you for sharing these. Not for me, but it was great to see what was in the set. 🎉
Sure thing!
For anyone who wants to make their own pages, Album Easy is a nice and free option.
If you can edit the pages and change the position of some of the stamps (easily) it might be worth it, but as it is I would feel like I’m copying someone else’s album which takes away a big part of the creativity of building an album for me. I do think it’s a viable option on a budget though. Of course the Palo pages you looked at look very nice but at that cost it’s a no. The album page maker looks super interesting and it’s something I would personally go for because I like having a custom collection made completely by my own hand.
Palo is not worth getting hingeless when you can get the normal pages and add the hingeless mounts yourself. They print their pages in house then add the mounts themselves cutting them right there. Davo are cleaner albums for me but no album is perfect which is why I make my own
I am not well versed with Davo albums! I should check them out, I have heard the name before. I also like the process of making my own albums even if it takes a while!
Thanks Kyle. I like the idea but I would print the pages in Black/White to save on the colour ink. If I find the odd additional writing bothersome I would probably use a bit of whiteout then photocopy the page.
The black and white suggestion is brilliant to save on ink! That's a great idea!
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. The more I learn the better.
Sure thing, thanks!
If you can't edit them, you could screen grab a page, copy a section of the blank page and then paste this over the additional stamps, marks etc. A fair bit of work but if you only did it for the pages you really wanted it should be ok
That's one way to do it for sure!
Hey Kyle. It is not for me. But it is interesting for those on a budget. And 13 dollars is not too bad. Personally I am not a worldwide collector and I prefer to organise my stamps in stockbooks or stockcards. Good video, interesting topic!
I also like stock books and cards but I love albums too!
Great subject
Thanks!
Hi. These look like Scott albums. I wonder if there is a copyright issue with this...?
I can't say, I suppose whoever sells these should have looked into it before creating this dvd set and making it available to the public!
I need pages for North Korea. I would love to see what the North Korea pages look like. Minkus does not separate back of the book from regular
They look similar, I will try to make a short clip for you to see them in an upcoming video.
i'd like to know if you can edit the pages also
I assume you would have to open the PDF with a software that allows editing and then you could. I don't think there was editing built into the PDF but I would have to check.
@@KylesStampsi contacted them and they said yes you can...
Ah, very cool! That's great to know! I will have to take a closer look at them when I get home!
