    Which do you prefer.. Regular green tea or Matcha?? If you liked this video, you might like this sugar-free Snickers ice cream recipe as well: ua-cam.com/video/CRcCLDH_q3A/v-deo.html

    @1:46 What do you mean when you state, "... most eggs these days are pasteurized ..." ?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  10 місяців тому +1

      I mis-spoke on that. All egg products sold out of the shell in the US are paesturized, but in the shell is a very small percentage. However contamination rates here are something like 0.005%, so the risk is very small. That's why I said to heat the egg mixture to 165 degrees anyways, just to be sure, and it helps the other stuff mix as well. You're right though. That wasn't accurate. Good catch! thanks

    I use Matcha and protein powder for lots of things I make. A handy way to prevent matcha from clumping and mix into liquid more uniformly is to put it in the same bowl as the protein power and stir with wire whisk until uniform in color. You can also at it to other things like the sugar or sweetener, but I find the protein powder works best.

    that looks so good, still waiting on the pistachio recipe! could you also maybe elaborate in the video a little bit on why you prefer monk fruit sweetener?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  Рік тому

      Yep... That one is coming up. Had to put in line.... Likely will be the next ice cream video that I start, though... I like the monk fruit stuff because it has a texture that is the most like sugar, and also a really great flavor without an aftertaste. It's supposed to be one of the healthiest sugar alternatives, as well (as long as you not just eating gobs of it right out of the bag or something).

    Looks delitious. Will be trying it today. Do you think same recipe with black sesame instead of matcha would turn nice too?

      UPDATE: OMG... This is amazing!!!! I love, love looooove matcha ice cream. I switched the Oat milk for Almond milk and it came sooooooo great. Too sweet for mine liking though (1/2 cup of monk fruit), will reduce the amount in next batch. Thank you for amazing recipes. 🙂

    I’m wondering if you have ever tried to heat the mixture in the same bowl you are mixing it in, in a pot or pan of simmering water (like a double boiler) for less clean up?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  6 місяців тому +1

      I haven't, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Definitely less to clean!

    one question i've always had before buying the Ninja Creami has been: Can you store the fully blended icecream in a regular tupperware on the freezer and just eat it when you want? or do you ALWAYS have to spin it before consumption?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  Рік тому +4

      Hi, Rene. It depends on how you make it. But for the most part, I've seen that it does harden quite a bit after processing if you put it back in the freezer... Letting it sit out for 15 minutes or so to soften up helps that a lot.. or 30 secs in the microwave. That happens a lot more with our stuff as well, since we are doing a lot of low fat type of recipes. The higher the fat content, the less hard it ends up since fat doesn't freeze solid..... if you have some alcohol in there, that helps too, for the same reason.

    Hi, can this be made with cashew or almond milk instead of oat?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  Рік тому +2

      Yep... either will work. Make sure you use one that has a little bit of fat content to be sure it's smooth though.

    alternatives to protein powder?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  2 місяці тому +1

      You can always just leave it out and add in a tiny tiny bit of vanilla extract for the flavor. Should be fine without it. Only had it in there to bump the protein up.

      Just ordered the protein powder and I have the rest of the ingredients here. The ice cream maker is arriving in a couple of days. Haven't had Matcha anything in a few years. I can hardly wait to taste this. Thank you for the recipe 🙏🏼❤️

    Where’s your Frigidaire gallery stove!?!?!

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  Рік тому +1

      Heya Gage. We just bought a new house and moved out of the city. I had to leave the appliances behind with the old house, so I lost my Fridigaire range, my induction microwave, the LG dishwasher, and the fridge... But the fridge at the new house was the exact same one but in stainless.... So there's that. Super bummed out about all that, but we are building a UA-cam kitchen as a separate structure on the property, and everything in there is going to be higher end stuff I think... It's realistically gonna take about 7 or 8 months to get that done though... It's gonna be awesome though!
