your aren't sopost to reuse the old spindle nut, that's why there isn't a cotterpin ... you were amazed about that. Those spindle nuts are tty type. I changed out the same hub about 3 years ago now the other side has finally gone out
i called dodge and they said that the nut can only be used once & that they are $29.99 each. fuuuuuuck them! goto www.rockauto.com i got two for 8 bucks $11 with shipping...shit, maybe it was $8 ea. idk it was months ago. either way I'd rather order them then going to the manufacturer.
what is the torque on the nut- it says not to rattle the nut back on !
could put to much Preload on the bearing and it will fail again.
