Some other videos show that the first line is 5/4 5/4 5/4 and 9/8.. What would make it different?

No. I wrote it like this based on every time the guitar starts a new bar. For me it's easier to count, memorize and feel it. Ultimately 7/8 + 3/8 = 5/4 or 10/8 anyways 😄 The other section 2/8x3 + 3/8 = 9/8. Thanks for checking, I hope it was enlightening

ive always just counted it 5/4 and 9/8. i guess i can see how counting it in this way might make it easier to play but conceptually the riff is just 5/4 with an extra 8th note every 4 bars
