thank god for a second i thought Sam was gonna be doing the painting
Actually, that was what I came to see. This was a $500 paint job, plus four days of labour from a highly skilled paint and body guy. You do the math.....
@@bobmcl2406 Do the math yourself on the depreciation incurred by _not_ having a professional do the paint job...
@@MrCarGuy a wrap would have been better instead of destroying the car.
Needs a secondary buff
@@MrCarGuy at 12:47 you can tell the finish isn't exactly "professional." so this depreciation you speak of is there regardless, anyone could tell this car isn't factory paint anymore. Not to mention the fact that it was a salvage car to begin with.
Well done Zack , you showed a lot of skill and professionalism, I’m astounded that young man like yourself can achieve such good results by yourself keep up the this great work and I’m sure you’ll be in high demand for other projects.
Zak did a fantastic job, I need to test his skills over here in the UK respraying the Challenge Stradale

Hilarious 😂😂😂
Stay away from all jenny’s. remember about the one forest gump ? Broke his heart
Or you could get lucky and get Jenny from the block
On the new Florida man shit.

I used Eastwood UK a couple of times when I used to repair cars, their stuff is very good quality for a really good price.
Eastwood chemicals (paint, sealer, rust treatment) are good the tools are hit and miss. Some things are nice others are just rebranded stuff you can buy at Harbor Freight and elsewhere for less.
Just be careful. I heard after you put this much work into a Ferrari, they catch on fire 🔥
Especially when you use an open flame to heat the body panels. Invest in a heat gun.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH r/woooosh His Ferrari caught on fire later. look at his other vids lmao
And to be honest ferraris sound like real poor quality and they don’t fix issues they are known
@@stevengraham3138 the brand new ones come with a bumper to bumper warranty with Ferrari even paying for Full maintenance either for the entire loan or around 7 -10 years. The maintenance comes with the price of the brand new Ferraris. They had to start doing that to bring up sales and they are way better built in current times.
I did my Chevelle myself in my home garage. Didn't skimp on the paint I was saving a lot of money as it was. I win first place a few years ago beating 2500 other cars so it went well I'd say. The metal work and paint would have cost upwards of 25-30k if done at a shop and I've got about 5k into the materials and equipment needed and in the end still have all the equipment so it's a win win.
I work in a body shop and I can say that’s a really nice paint job, it needed more polishing steps tho.
I’m surprised there wasn’t more comments about this, he did a killer job but needed to complete more polishing steps.
Yep the hood shot out in the sun shows it
Agree. Swirl city
But awesome work for a garage job.
1step 3m polishing with silicone, the holograms are there but aweosme job, until polishing :)
MY NAME IS JUAN agreed it look really good
I'm not entirely sure if he used rubbing compound and then a Polish to get the shine but he should've finished it off with a micro polish for a true mirror like finish...otherwise I think he did a good job. For those saying this paint job just depreciated the value well I'd say your wrong. This guy fixed the fenders and side skirts that NO buyer would want to see. He also realigned the bumpers and in all made it a presentable driver. After all folks let's not forget this was a salvage title to begin with so theirs always going to be some depreciation on this ride. These vehicles are also great buys for those like Mr. Rob Spaghetti. He likes these for his rental business as it gives a renter the full experience of an exotic and doesn't have to worry when one comes back damaged.
$500 dollars in materials plus four full days of hiring a skilled paint and body guy does not equal $500
yeah it'd cost no less than 5k for that car
Thinking the same thing. cut the shit
Probably only cost him $500 after safelite and Eastwood payed for the commercial!
The lies people tell just to get likes, and subscribers to get paid!!!!😂
$3000 in labor
As a QC worker in car industry, I am blown away by the job done, CC wave seems to be minimal however as someone mentioned, it could use more buffing but that can be project for itself. Absolutely astonished by the results I rarely see where I work...
Cover the floor with water will keep from less dust in paint.
While that is what professionals do, it's just too expensive. Water costs $0.002 a gallon which would take this build over budget.
@@alexc7864 Cost of water in Australia is like gold, so yea its expensive :D
It didnt hurt a $500 paint job anyways. You get what you pay for.
Sawmiller Smith agreed water for sure
I Am Sekou exactly keeps dust way down ,at the dealership I worked at we wet the floor before running the car into the booth ,blew the wall ceiling down also always.
I love seeing that what's needed in taking on these projects is: willingness, and attention to detail. It is amazing to me, that this collection of well done details adds up to a nearly new car. One detail at a time. That's doable, and very very rewarding. Good job all around.
14:30 I can see the hazing from the sanding and buffing. Still the best damn 500 dollar paint job I have ever seen though.
It’s needs polish but that’s for the finale.
I love Safe Lite. Had them completely swap out my windshield in my parking lot at work during my lunch break. I have used them several times for chip/crack repair and always had flawless results. They got my vote.
I think Zack did very well on thd paint job
I'm a "professional" mechanic. Pros screw up constantly. This is a talented guy doing enthusiast professional work. Most paint jobs done by pros I see have issues or are just poor quality. I take my time w customer jobs in repair. I have very few comebacks. Professional doesn't mean anything really. Quality of the job is number 1. Along with some theory or understanding of what you are doing.
I'm impressed. Professional just means u got paid for it. This guy is dynamite. Awesome video
OMG those swirls 😱😱
Yup... noticed! Check out Chicago auto pro's master class to delet those swirls
It will buff out
Some left over wax I think
Ide over sand paper i think
polish under sun light, not in a garage tl lights
You should have had a donations page for the painter! He did several thousand dollars worth of work and went home with empty pockets LoL such an injustice. Zach did seem to know what he was doing. That boy works hard for his money
Zach is one talented young man!
We need more Zach's out there gives hope to see a young man do this work.
i fucks with samcrac bro he don’t act like he knows everything seems like a humble dude
He's not a professional painter... He's better then some "professionals"

@@jaxxbrat2634 I completely agree. My issue was I tried to do a job in the past I wasn't kind of in love with. For me, I have to do something I kind of love. I hope the skill follows.
Definitely not the best buffer though lol.
Kid did a amazing job for being so young. Don't give up and keep pushing. I'm absolutely trash at paint work and wish i had the time to practice and learn.
So does this mean we’ve seen the end of the inflata-booth?
Who paints a Ferrari without a booth?
Nope!
Samcrac I’ve been wondering because you seemed to have a some issues with it when you first used it, then it just seemed to disappear off the channel. Glad we’ll see it again, it had promise.
remember...samcrac doesn't do any work himself, especially painting and body panel (vtune and this new guy does it for him). he simply just does not want to perfect the craft and have others do it
JEEPNATION to be honest, I’d rather he use other you tubers when he’s working on higher end projects, and help them get some viewership.
WatchJRgo does a lot of wrenching, but he still has people over helping him all the time.
I've had to use Safelite a few times to fix broken or cracked windshields and I couldn't agree with you more. The techs are friendly and fast, and they do really good quality work. It's the kind of thing you hope you never need, but you're glad to have them there.
You guys need to stop hating on Samcrac for getting help from others! You can't do everything yourself, and some things are just left better for the pros. Just enjoy the content!
A job done so good, I'm now going to watch it all again on Zach's channel.
Man, this Ferrari project is better than anything I've seen on TV in the last years.
Proffesional detail on this thing, those buffer trails look horrible in the sun !
This ain't professional.. go watch Goonzquad videos. Much better and 3 videos every week.
Im a detailer myself and when i sae him pull out the 10in pad i was like helllll no.
@@TNT-ml1ll that's what i'm saying..
I see strange reflection in the wing just above the front passenger wheel arch. And on the rear right next to the spoiler lip.
I do detailing professionally and i absolutely cringed when he bought that massive pad out 😂 better off getting someone else to detail it now only takes one grain of partial and the whole paints fucked, all them buffer trials, spiderwebs and holograms makes me cry :( Good job on the painting tho!
I’ve owned a few Ferrari’s and currently have a F430. It’s nice to see you doing your own work on the car. I have done much of my own over the years as well. Just remember as I do, at the speeds these cars will and do go, you always want to make sure they are repaired as close to original spec as possible. Any mechanical issue at the speed my car does on the track and your dead. I believe my life is worth the additional expense to keep my stallion in top shape.
Great job from Zach! I can't wait to see it finalized
Always thought a painter must get a great sense of accomplishment when they see the results of their work. Instant gratification from "trash" to "treasure". Sweet makeover ....
What an awesome job , very talented guy. Well done Zach!
your young friend that painted your car really know what he's doing. Zac is a real pro painter. Looks great.
The midroll Ad: Domino's are pizza is so good we made a car for it.

Beautiful job Zack. Once you get the finishing touches done; make sure to put it up for sale, asap. Before something else goes wrong.
Great choice of music in his video! I was vibing the whole time! Gotta post the names of these songs!

I think he done a awsome job painting the Ferrari! You should go that route more often Sam it would save you a lot of frustration in the long run!
I would hire Zach to paint anything. Really good job. Great attention to detail.
Subbing to Zack because of this video. Not only was that an awesome job done with pretty much home garage stuff, but I love how much of it he showed in the video.
“Like all other work performed on this car before I got it, it was plain sloppy” .. says the man who glued in an aluminium plate for a floor 😂😂😂
I still cannot believe he was too lazy not to weld that, rivets n glue my ass😂😂😂
Thank you Sam. I did not know about the professional quality Safelite Auto Glass repair has to offer and they're amazing technique....

Facts. I'm trying to find the track tho. This is a bop
I have painted Copart cars in my garage as well. People always tell me you can do that you need a both to get good results. I tell them, as long as you are willing to take the time and buff it out after, no you dont need a both. A both is for a production shop that paints many cars at once.
He actually showed us the paint job! Thought he was gonna tease us like he’s been doing with the Lamborghini lol still waiting...
I think he did a spectacular job with an amazing attention to detail. Hope you paid him well, he deserves it.
Paint Job looks AMAZING!
It does seem darker than before, although, that could have been years of fading. I hope this car does well for you, considering all of the work you guys have done.
Probably was because it was painted without the original primer color.
Nice work, needs some more polishing. Look at 14:30, lot of halo because of buffing with a compound
Was waiting for the sun shot. Yeah looks a bit hologrammy / swirly. Though, you definitely get the same at professional body shops lol so 🤷🏻♂️ I'll give the kid a break.
Gijsbert Conneman it shows him removing the residue left over so it’s not buffing halos it’s compound/polish residue
@@natedetailscars true. I'm more surprised when I don't see any holograms.
Cheyenne Obregon is exactly right....
this shot was pre wash. I got 95% of the swirl marks out. Had to leave a bit so Sam had something to do. 😉😂
Using the wrong compound, thats why. Mabe not letting the paint cure long enough before buffing too. It's a low budget paint job, expect flaws.
Some British cars had electrically bonded windscreens, like the Rover SD1 and other big Rover group cars, I seem to remember some Jags had them and these electro-bonded ones were a bugger to get out and then get back in because only the car companies had the equipment to bond to factory spec so windscreen companies had to get inventive with epoxy's which back then were not the super compounds of today. Silkoflex was also very common on British cars for seam sealing and holding on headlamp lenses, just seemed to hold up in our horrible weather.
That lad done you a solid on the paint job.
Off topic, noticed your avatar... today Girl Talk teased a potential new album this year! He was vague, could be some other side project or something, but I hope it's another album!
You’re joking?? That’s appalling !
The paint looks great and the rebuild seems to be coming along well. My only add would be I think you should powder coat the wheels black. I think it would bring the car together. Love the channel
Someone needs to set Zach up in his own business- that's an astonishing comeback for a neglected car. And please leave the 5-spokers on it. They're so simple and perfect.
After market rims are a joke. The rims on most vehicles are designed for it specifically.
@@cliffniiranen1044 I tend to agree - you can throw off geometry, offset, all of it. Had a '91 CRX Si and thought - change the wheels! Then I wised up.
If you're interested in getting a good HVLP spray gun I'd recommend a Tekna Prolite by Devilbiss. They're really nice for the money. I've painted a couple things with them and they turned out great even though I have almost no experience.
Excellent job Zac! That Ferrari looks amazing! 😁👍
Wish the painter had a channel he was 1000 times more entertaining than Sam has ever been.
Well, that’s more than a $500 paint job. The kids labor is worth at least $2-$3k. Looks good
I agree $2000 to $3000 in Labor alone, and he did body work too not just paint
Very true
That sounds more like a full clean room shop price and this is hardly that is it.
Thanks for recommending Safelite Sam! I have been driving with cracked glass on my BMW for months now, not knowing there are mobile guys doing window replacements. Finally made the reservation for replacement by them this Wednesday. Used your code for 25 bucks off haha, hope that also helps you keep up with the great content! That’s neat
Didn't notice, you nailed it!
On point
Hahahaha
I love when guys/girls are so caring at their jobs!
Impressive as it's not a professional booth. 360, still one of my favorite shape Ferrari's.
I want to get a salvage 360 manual and modify it with better parts. LED lights, exhaust dump, weight reduction, brakes, fuel system, etc. Most importantly a Haltech, GM sensors, and new harness. The 15 year old Ferrari electronics is trash.
@@markm0000 That would be a fun project.
The wheel openings getting mangled are a trait of the 360 even with factory rims. I’ve seen them repaired at Ferrari dealers with some contraption that bolts to the wheel hub and rolls the edge back and apparently pushes the edge back further so it is less likely to happen again.
Home painted green must do wonders for the resale value
Dude... it's a salvage 360. There is no resale value to begin with. Him painting the car in the most budget friendly and documentable way allows him to make the most profit from ad revenue. UA-cam rebuild budgets are completely different to the normal rebuilds. Different variables to deal with
Sadhana its old and salvage, its a cheap Ferrari it’s a 30ft car - and it’s had Sam as an owner lol
Resale value was tanked the second he used a non-Ferrari branded part, that was never a concern on this build.
Nice job. two thoughts. The best spray guns (quality vs price) I have ever used came from Harbor Freight! Superb finish! I would have taken the time to remove the doors so I could have painted the jambs and the edges of the doors.. It is more work though.
When every time you watch or remember, Adam sandler .
An incredible job from this young man! Dialling the finished product into perfection requires the hands of a reputable detailer. No surprise there.
Well done Zak. Thanks for interesting content.
working management at an auto dealership for years & I agree, Safelite is very reliable.. competitively priced.. & you get quality.. sometimes it's even better than the factory original
Im very impressed with Zacs work,Id get him to paint my car and I would pay him well for it too
Your guy did one hell of a job on the paint. Well done. I just have to say that the car would look amazing painted in Vantablack.
From now on you can call Zack a pro painter.. Amazing..
I can't imagine that Zach and Sam will find the resulting swirls, etc. acceptable in the long term, but golly, what tremendous effort that was getting the paint job done. Very cool to see and a big congratulations to Zach on the masking and disassembly detail.
Yep Sam's the man who gets everyone to do everything for him...
It looks good for a $500 paint job. I would probably recommend to hit it with Menzerna 2400 after a month of curing or so, then finish with a more fine polish to get the sparkle in the paint.
Zack did a great job. I hope he picks up loads of subs other than me.
Most important things to consider you have the haters don't. A Ferarri and a successful UA-cam channel. Haters gonna hate.
Some times i wake up and i see sam has uploaded i get a huge smile on my face
It’s from the crack xD
Get a random orbital to do a finish polish and youll get all those buffer trails out and a huge boost in clarity in the sun.
Is Samcrac paying it forward through giving other subscribers exposure on his channel? If he is, he's a hero, unlike that villain Rich Rebuilds. LOL JUST KIDDING 😂
Shekhar Moona goonzquad already hooked Sam up with that exposure too
Zack looks like he did a great job - love the music during his segment
I didn t think I d like to watch that but, it ended up being quite informative thanks!
Should've wet the floor so you wouldn't lift the dirt of the ground when you spray. Also a lot of holograms on the car, make sure to buff it out with finer paste.
Feeling that track at 6:10!!!
Hell yeah..that was a tune
Me too I wish he would put the track name in the Description
The Safe lite guys were artist's. And that paint job. Wow.
Great job Zach, you did an awesome job! Hey, Sam, we'd like to know how much you spent on the car so far. Thanks!
I actually did a video with an entire cost breakdown of EVERYTHING. Go to recent videos "Here's how much I've Spent on this Ferrari...."
One of the very few, if not the only video, where the Ferrari is moving under its own power in the whole video, instead of someone pushing it at least once
Gonna need at least 3 other stages of buffing to get that paint holgramless

Not gonna lie.... I miss this car. 😢
Especially now that the paint matches.
I did take it for a drive down my road.... shh 🤫 don’t tell Sam. 😂😂
Your very talented.
the Moseley guy needs someone to paint his knight rider kit cars
Good work on the paint. You need to refine your polishing though. Seems like buffer trails and alot of swirling? These are removed with a proper finishing step, either with a rotary or a dual action polisher. You can use less compound and polish as well, so it doesn't cake up on the seams and cracks. Giving you less head aches and less work. Good job though.
I'm still not clear whether it got a clear coat or not. And did you respray the hood? I'd be worried about it not matching with the new paint...
man that rim damage to the wheel wells. that's how you tell someone got their money and didn't earn it. Kept expecting something terrible to happen like everything else with this poor car. Zach is a talented car painter, was fun to watch.
Love your shows Samcrac. best wishes Sammy Marshall from Australia
Any new paint job is a good one in my book. As long as it looks good and is clean. Rather have fresh paint then something faded

Been following your whole process of rebuilding this 360 , can learn alot from your patience and determination. You're killing it Samcrac , thanks for all your videos. Greetings for palm beach county. 👍
I really hope that's not the end of the paint process. The paint's currently fucked. It's full of haze and buffer trails - it still needs proper compounding.
I was just about to comment and say the same thing. Usually I wait for a couple of weeks and then compound after some paintwork
Idk Sam don't know about auto much and still running auto build up channel 😂
In the teaser pic, it looks like it's matt black with yellow accents. I was like that looks great you should consider doing that!
