I'm a huge Neptunes (Pharrell) fan as well and I've pretty much followed their entire career even nowadays. Back then Pharrell's traveling rig consisted of his primary sequencer which was a Korg O1/W Workstation connected (via MIDI) to a few Roland & EMU sound modules and the ASR-10 which they used for sampling drum sounds. In their private studio, they had a couple Korg Tritons, a MicroKorg, etc. As time went on, Pharrell stripped down his rig to just his "01" and a Korg Triton Extreme. As of about 2009-2010 up to now, Pharrell does everything in Logic Pro.
Ben Hutcherson pro tools or ableton doesn’t mean veteran. There are veterans that use FL Studio. The DAW doesn’t define the producer. Every DAW does the same thing they just all have different workflows
Knotz and Binx! It’s a lot of producers down the 757!!!! That’s where I got my start! Thanks to Buck, DJ Mann, Big Pat!!! A lot of musicians down there too. Shout out to Bishop Michael Rogers.

Yeah, but his time in VA Beach I believed shaped his sound when the New Jack Swing ran its course. Most ppl don't even know he's native to New York. He is definitely us out here in DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Much love to Harlem and the whole Mid-Atlantic, though!
@@TopBillinSports Naw the sound was ringing off in the the neighborhood. Most of those NJS songs was recorded in Saint Nicholas Houses. The NJS sound dates back around 87-88
i dont know how you be making the songs sound exactly like the originals moe you ill will on that producing shit big up bro fucking with the recent tutorials yup
fam to this date .thts my favorite usher joint like tht was raw and hungry at the same time. never knw Neptune's did that. i thought diddy was the producer. funny how wen ur new in the game. how thirsty u are for just one person to feel ur music. how hard and fresh def the work drive is. then wen u get put on . tht drive is weak lol....
The drums and Rhodes are spot on. The 2 guitars have the right instrumentation but the sound choice aren’t it, they’re close but not it. Still solid production over all.
i'm requesting jamie foxx unpredictable, kelly rowland motivation, wiz khalifa on my level, wiz khalifa when i'm gone, wiz khalifa wake up, wiz khalifa black & yellow, sean paul got 2 luv u, sean paul & keyshia cole give it up 2 me remix & keyshia cole love. i have yet to see you remake a love song/rnb/slow jam. as a matter of fact. B.J. Faulkner great information thx dude
Where did you see he uses Logic Pro? I thought he would use protools or Ableton since he is more of a veteran in producing.

I think he uses omnisphere too. I've heard a few sounds in omnisphere that I have heard in some Neptune's beats.
Ben Hutcherson Ableton? Thats shits for EDM GTFO
As soon as he solo'd the drums, I had to say it "Don't leave your girl round me true player for real"
Ask my nigg@ for real! 💪💪

You HAVE to be using a tool to identify the sounds used, because the way your sonics match the original is practically perfect!
I actually just listened to joint and matched the instruments as close as I could.
Good job bro
