in volleyball u need to know all skills, yes the right side is usually for setters but anyone on court has to know how to set in any scenario, that’s why setters call for help sometimes so anyone else can set. I would expect an Olympic level setter could block, spike, and pass better than most volleyball players. If you're watching this video to actually learn how to set, you're not at a level where you can be picky and should take every bit of info from an elite athlete who has been around the game most of their life(regardless of position/specialty).

It makes transitioning between them a bit difficult sometimes, especially since I usually play beach all summer then transition to indoor/court for winter/spring.
