I just wanna say thank you for this series, it's always nice to see how other people fish and pick up tips and stuff. Found the 6 episodes to be very helpful and will definitely be using more bait with each cast because I currently use 1 worm on a 5/0 pulley rig and don't have any luck so I won't be so shy anymore and hopefully I'll get a bit more luck. Thanks again and happy fishing :)
Thanks for the kind comments, glad you are enjoying the videos! Good luck with your fishing and fingers crossed we all manage a few Cod this winter!!! :-) Cheers Chris
I know that a lot of your videos are a few years old Chris., but I really enjoy watching them. As someone coming back to sea fishing after a long time away, its good to see these videos. They are informative and your enthusiasm shines though. Thanks mate.
Thanks for the kind comments mate, they're very much appreciated and mean alot. Nice to hear you've enjoyed the videos and found some of them useful, we should have lots more to come throughout this year... it's just getting the time to film and edit them!
Well done fella, thanks for going to all the trouble putting this and the others together. Some of us out here appreciate your efforts greatly, ignore the arm chair critics and keep up the good work
Enjoyed that thanks, and nice to see a few decent fish landed and as as you mentioned not easy from the beaches and takes a lot of effort for the rewards.
Thanks +Cornish Shore and Kayak Fisherman glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to comment. I know what you mean, it was certainly nice to get a few better fish on camera! I'd had enough of just producing Whiting videos! Haha!! Hope your fishing is going well. Tight lines, cheers Chris.
Thanks Chris always good to have a local perspective. Most codling seem to be coming out of the river near here (Yarmouth area) but looks pretty poor, we had no spring run at all this year.
Cheers +David Harvey glad you enjoyed the video! It's all gone a bit quiet recently but fingers crossed we'll get a bit of weather to stir the sea up, been clear and calm for too long now! Good luck with your fishing. Tight lines, cheers Chris.

Great vid lads. really enjoy your beach fishing episodes. November is definatly a great time to be fishing along the south coast just a shame it can be so weedy around here (littehampton) but I am off to dungie in a couple of weeks. thanks for making these vids
Cheers +richard best thanks for the kind comments, glad you enjoyed the video! Weed can be a pain at times, I know around the north Norfolk coast it was horrendous this year, I experienced it first hand on a number of occasions! Hope it clears up soon and that you get out after a few! :-) Tight lines, cheers Chris.
They've certainly increased in numbers around our coastline Kerry. When I was a young lad we never ever caught them, but there seems to be a good number around now.

Hope your fishing is going well and good luck for the coming weeks/months!
My secret winter cod spot. In s.west...ie. Cornwall is whitsands beach by the gun range..apart from the cod, there,s a chance of a double figer Pollack, or bass, and perhaps a double coalie.and the usual whiting, and a fair chance of a Huss,
Was on aldeburgh beach yesterday talking to some fishermen.. Think I've got the bug Chris.. Do you know of good place to pick up some basic gear to get started and ready made rigs..thanks...Steve in kings lynn
Hi Steve, have a little search for your local tackle shop on Google, if not Angling Direct's website is a good bet. Hope you get sorted and get out there and catch a few! :-)
From the waters edge ! I get to Devon and Cornwall as much as poss ! But living in the Land locked Midlands i love this Channel ! Devon and Cornwall GODS OWN COUNTRY ! CRACKING CHANNEL AND GREAT INFO AND PRESENTING !
Luv the vids,,,, can tell you are both very keen anglers and luv not just the catching ,but the getting out and avin a go ,,,get yourselves up to the northwest and a free boat trip out with bait supplied etc ,,,,,oh and weather permitting !!😀
Absolutely amazing vid yet again, thank you, keep the good work up. Finally bit the bullet and bought my first fishing kit, can't wait to get out there and fish. Hey if you ever around Blackpool please give me a shout would love to get a few tip off you. Looks like so much fun watching you guys.

Pity you can't show the bites as this is the most exciting part of it! I have a HD camcorder which has Pre- record. It films in a loop and films the FIVE seconds before you press the button to record. As long as you are ready you will record the bite. Very useful when you cannot predict a spontaneous event.
Thanks for the feedback Kerry... I think we might be able to sort something, as I know what you mean! Would be great to get some proper slack liners, or some smash and grab smoothie bites on camera! :-D
I know what you mean about all the time put in for little reward, about a month and a half ago I upgraded from my budget rods to my first decent one ( century tip tornado super match) I've fished twice every weekend since then and only managed whiting a dogfish, although I go home disappointed by the time the next weekend comes up i'm ready to give it another shot and full of excitement. Great video, Hope to see more in the future :) keep up the good work
Thanks +Bevii3 glad you enjoyed the video. Ahhh that's just fishing I guess, we are all the same as anglers, we keep on going and going with the hope that it might be one of those sessions when everything falls into place. They don't come round all that often but when they do, they certainly erase all those bad ones! Am sure your luck will change soon. Thanks again, tight lines, cheers Chris. P.S As the old saying goes... I guess it's why it's called fishing and not catching! :-)
No worries at all +Wheeler glad you are enjoying them!! :-) Haha, you never know, we had talked about doing a spot of Kayak fishing next year, we'll have to see if we can sort something out! ;-) Cheers Chris.

Great video again. Really enjoy watching your videos and even my young son has started to watch as he has just got the fishing bug. How far out do you usually cast for cod? hi guys. I am Dan from Watchet west somerset.thanks for vid but ive a short story no more than a week old as tuesday last i on the boat Sea Fire caught the biggest cod at 33 lb. the rod was locked eyes to the sky so im looking up the rod like a gun. it bobbed with the waves then stayed bent to the sea. the fish tired twice and had to have three guys lift it on a pole net. cack handed but ill so need an able crew. it was then released as there breeders past 15 lb. and subject to issues of age and worm which loses out on taste. it does mean 40 to 50 year of cod schools have been led round the bend by two of the biggest as 27 lb of cod is fr ont page big news for west somerset and my own catch on the front page of the Sea Angling Times.

hi guys. I am Dan from Watchet west somerset.thanks for vid but ive a short story no more than a week old as tuesday last i on the boat Sea Fire caught the biggest cod at 33 lb. the rod was locked eyes to the sky so im looking up the rod like a gun. it bobbed with the waves then stayed bent to the sea. the fish tired twice and had to have three guys lift it on a pole net. cack handed but ill so need an able crew. it was then released as there breeders past 15 lb. and subject to issues of age and worm which loses out on taste. it does mean 40 to 50 year of cod schools have been led round the bend by two of the biggest as 27 lb of cod is fr
