I wish uk sea fishing was like this video for more anglers . Even so his reward does not seem a lot for the effort and expense he has put in . Seas have been hoovered of fish and anglers get the scraps .

Like to see these video's of fishermen with the most expensive equipment. I'm from Holland and sometimes i go for fishing with some friends with more money than i have. I bought some cheap rods and reels from Lineaeffe and one of my friends, a laywer, has only Penn and Shimano gear. Of course i catch more fish however i do not know whether it is luck or i'm a better fisher. I'm always fooling him that the fishes are afraid to damage his expensive fishing gear and to get charged in court for damaging so they bite only my hooks. Last month he came with much cheaper Mitchell rods and reels and you will not believe what happened? Yes he caught the most fish of us. I can't wait till next week when we go fishing again.

i am Dan . Cod father of the bristol. with the biggest cod this season for watchet west somerset with 33lb on sea fire with a couple of tricks and a prayer . feel for the sun reflecting and the light of the water as 1 i felt our energy reflection and pictured us as 1. in this a guess i disguise my energy output by feeling for a light harmony and so a natural. anyway that and kippers in thin strips so you can hook the strips through its skin back.it stays on hook was the surprise

I fish for many diffrintet fish and I use a £30 rod and reel. As long as you got good line and hooks the rod price dose not matter. If you Google the for you want and learn how they feed and were they like to feed and read as much as you can. Turn up early and look at were you want your line at high tide you will see the sea bed and runs . If you do this you will not blank alot

As long as the fish you do take aren't like tiny as fuck I try to make sure the fish I do take are above the minimum size so that they have a chance to get bigger cause what's the point of taking a smaller fish it just makes it less likely to catch a monster, and if we all decide you know what I spend so much on this gear I deserve to take these home even if it is small, isn't that part of the reason most of the fish around are shores a tiny. What a dumb thing to tell beginner's!

I probably own rods that are older than u and they were pretty cheap back in the day. And still holding up and still catching fish. So quality don't equal high price. U can get away with a decent rod and reel 2.7 meter for around 100 pounds. Will last u long if u take care of it and don't break it transporting it.

Hi Andy, This video is for a Novice angler, why would a novice angler pay 400 pounds plus the price for build for a rod and a multiplier reel?. I am sure that will not give them any confidence in Sea fishing. Would be far better to start with a cheaper carbon rod with a glass tip for good bite detection and a fixed spool reel to build their confidence up first. And there is no way a novice would be able to pendulum cast. Also you say about safety yet you use a swivel clip on the lead. Could you please demonstrate spinning your lead with a baited hook attach to the lead, it would be good to see the difference with just a strong easy link clip to the lead.

Always use a shockleader buddy, if putting any power into a cast will result in your line snapping and a fishing weight however heavy at that speed could kill someone. You have been warned

@braderz 0606 Do it all the time with my £10 second hand rod and my other rod that i found. In fact i would have total confidence reeling in a fucking dolphin if my line was strong enough. If it was made a long time ago from quality components and not all plastic modern shite, it will last a lifetime. Just saying.

I don't think he works for ziplex mate. But i also don't see the point in spending loads on tackle, they are tools. The amount i use them for example, a reel will last a couple of years max, whether it cost £200 or £40. Nothing wrong with treating yourself to nice stuff if you can afford it though. Happy fishing.
