So glad I watched your video. It didn't take long to decide to contact the seller and snag one. Unfortunately at the time they were sold out. So, I patiently waited and now after they've restocked, I finally have a great emulation device that runs 30+ systems. Its awesome I can play about 8000 rooms on a 256 gb card and am learning a lot about these kinds of tech and see how the tech is growing with improvements all the time. pretty dope. The only problem is will I have enough time in my life to play them all?
After using one of these for a few weeks I would warn people that the weight of it (thanks to the metal) can really be an extra stress to your hands after playing for it for awhile. After a good hour I'd often find it just too heavy in the middle and it started to become cumbersome, I don't have small hands so holding stuff like this is never a problem. But long time players might not enjoy the extra heft.
As soon as one of these can run God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta at 2x resolution, 60fps without frame skip I'll pick one up. Until then I'll just keep carrying around my SN30 Pro and playing on my phone. The future of portable emulation is so exciting.

You can just stick a WiFi dongle in the RG351P's OTG port and it will have all the same features that the M has. Love the RG351P (mine does not have rattling action buttons, what's going on there?). Don't know if the metal body upgrade is worth 40,- $, but I guess it's really nice to have.
@@gohan3448 Exactly, bruh I've used emulators since middle school and I'm 30 now. They know damn well they can upgrade these systems and emulators without charging us an arm n a leg
For a few dollars more you can get a phone that does Dreamcast, PSP and possibly GameCube, it's up to you if you'd take a phone with a tethered controller over this, I prefer the phone myself.
Emulation, particularly as console power starts to creep up isn't an easy task. It also isn't being worked on in the way that a tech company might with a full r and d department. This is being done on the side as a labour of love by people that have full time jobs. For stuff like dreamcast emulation it isn't really that these consoles lack the power it's more that the software community hasn't been able to wrinkle out the creases yet.
I got one & it worked fantastically for one day. But once the battery drained, it would not recharge, so I had to return it to the Anbernic official AliExpress store (hassle free). I did enjoy it, but the heavy metal made me nervous about dropping it, and my Gen-X eyes struggled with the 3x5" screen. I decided not to order a new one, but instead ordered the Odroid Go Super (for the larger 5" screen & exact same RK3326 chipset)
i got a rg351p and after a few weeks i went back to my pocket go, its just slimmer, and easier to carry around day to day and i think the software is slightly quicker
How is it not the first thing mentioned that the aspect ratio is wrong with the majority of emulators? That's a huge deal. Have the RG350m and this is no upgrade. In fact, if I remember correctly, the RG350m has a 640x480 screen, for a perfect 2x increase of 240p titles, this new display isn't just the wrong aspect ratio, but a lower PPI.
Hi, I have a question about image quality in SNES and GBA games. Isn't the image a bit blurred, especially when compared to the same game played on Retroid Pocket 2? I think that in the latter, image is very sharp and vivid, but in RG350M (not 351) fonts and images are a bit blurry. What do you think?
GBA is the same aspect ratio; you get perfect upscaling. Every other console has sight distortion and text crush. This is something that should have been mentioned in this video.
@@BlissBatch I just found out (thanks @RetroGameCorps) that there was upgraded GBA emulator, where you can set scaling to Hardware x2. Now the graphics is really sharp! :)

You can just stick a WiFi dongle in the RG351P's OTG port and it will have all the same features that the M has. Love the RG351P (mine does not have rattling action buttons, what's going on there?). Don't know if the metal body upgrade is worth 40,- $, but I guess it's really nice to have.
Cant wait see about bring back the classic Nintendo Games NES, SNES, GB, 64 and GBA memories.
Did you have to pay any import fees on top of the price? I've seen a lot of that happening lately.
@@bWWd0 thanks, and what was the additional fee? I'm UK so it'll probably vary.
I opted for the 350M not too long ago over this only because I wanted the 4:3 aspect for NES and SNES.
It still suprises me to this day that the consoles they try to emulate still do not work properly after all those years
It's a money grab. Just barley upgrade it for years and trick people into thinking it's something different
This is the reason i stopped using emulators and went for the original hardware again
If I order from the link you provided, does the product come preloaded as you mentioned? I went to the link and it did not have those details
We have the OG Super coming in soon, we’ll let you know how it performs. :)
i got a rg351p and after a few weeks i went back to my pocket go, its just slimmer, and easier to carry around day to day and i think the software is slightly quicker
Maybe you didnt upgrade the os?
@@paopaoskolar7866 i think its just what i used to, ive had the pocket go for over a year
@@dcnumber9 oh okay
Don't listen to them Dodo, Jonah Hill WISHES he looked this good
How is it not the first thing mentioned that the aspect ratio is wrong with the majority of emulators? That's a huge deal. Have the RG350m and this is no upgrade. In fact, if I remember correctly, the RG350m has a 640x480 screen, for a perfect 2x increase of 240p titles, this new display isn't just the wrong aspect ratio, but a lower PPI.
Did you happen to try, if the USB-OTG port might output video?
Same question I ask
Nice review! Are there a list somewhere of all the games that is pre-loaded?
Not that I know of, it's all a bit random. But there are thousands preloaded on here.
I ordered one this morning to replace an Odroid Go Advance Black Edition that has basically fallen apart.
what about the high failure rate of the micro sd card it comes with?
This so far looks like the best handheld up to 64, my only problem is the joystick layout i like the switches layout the best :(
I do love the aesthetic of the p variant, but i feel like the durability and wifi ability makes me think the m model is better...
are there any fighting games on this?
Is there built in cheat support for this?
Little late for reviewing this device, and Odroid Go Super is already out
I know there are lots of these awesome retro handhelds, but until I start to see one that can withstand the power of Dreamcast even for psp, then I will step in and buy one
I think their next model should be good for dreamcast
I'm thinking of getting this next, still love my gp430. When I gain up I get this next
You should look at the RG351MP instead!
@@RetroDodo ok is that one much better?
Was about to grab the metal one the other day, but when I saw how much cheaper the plastic version was I went that route
Ah yes space grey ! A man of culture and taste.
Mine still in route !!!! 😂
so is it gray or light green? I want to buy one but if it's light green instead of grey I'm going to buy the black one
I'm waiting at the mailbox now!
Charging this device is an issue. It's hard to tell if... or when it is ever completely charging/charged. The sound is superior!!
I'm sure there are people out there who will mod it to play other systems and improve the performance from than what you get out of the box.
Would you recommend this or the moqi i7s? I'm new to emulation and can't decide between the 2?
You sure you are unable to use the USB-C port to HDMI?
Just bought mine used for £25 its awesome
Can you run Pokémon Rom hacks on this ??
i want one just for pokemon. what do you have
Where do you find the bios files to play PS1 games & what folder do you put them in when you have the files ???
It already comes with the ps1 bios. It’ll be in the bios folder in the games partition of the sd card.
theres a "king" every other month....
Hi Dodo, sorry for the question but I'm a retrogaming newbie. Can I flash roms in the RG351M with a cable? Thanks a lot, keep pushing!
The link to buy the 350M comes fully loaded with games ?
I see options for SNES and N64 but is there one for NES games? Are you able to play NES games on this console?
I would like a handheld like these. I'm only looking for something I could play at like work on break. RPG games like final fantasy and pokemon and games like that. Is there anything great out there or is this good for it?
Why can't they add Bluetooth to these 🤦🏻 I've seen a lot of videos and still not sure what to get 🥺
Nice Video! If I didn't already have a New 2DS completely setup for Retro games, I'd so be into this Handheld. But I LOVE DS games, so for me, the New 2DS is for me!
hi is that link to 139$ is preloaded version? because the website not mentoned this, just wanna make sure b4 i order
Do you think dreamcast performance isn't too great because of the chipset or the current firmware?
