Oh gosh, that’s amazing! For the few times we have been, during non-Covid times, we were never picked. Maybe one day. But how they changed things around during Covid, it was pretty nice. Having your own individual show was pretty awesome.
I remember queuing for the original Ollivander's during Hogsmeade opening week for a long time, my mother kept telling me not to be disappointed because I more than likely would not be chosen. After waiting for at least an hour, we finally entered the shop and despite there being several other children in the group, the wandkeeper picked me much to my surprise. To this day, I still have the alder wand that chose me.
This sounds AMAZING… what a memory. During covid, we took my sister in-law and she was able to get a personal one on one experience. But with the bigger crowds we have yet to b picked. Next visit we plan on doing this again and we may have to try over and over till it happens!!!
@@nightshadedreams2989 Well that's amazing, I'll have to check it out. I have heard about a few theories, like where you stand, but that video would be so helpful!! Thank you so much!
That would have been SOOOO amazing. He actually picked a kid that already had a wand lol. It was crazy, but still a super fun experience. Have you checked it out during Covid? I have a vision of that too!!
@@ThePhotogExperience I was chosen when I picked out a wand lol. My last trip to Orlando was May 2022 when things were not really bad with Covid and I went at the end of October, beginning of November of 2019
Things that can increase your chances: - Being a little kid - Having lots of harry potter merch/clothing on - Having pins such as honeymoon, birthday, or special occasion pins. - VIP tour (don't know how you can get a VIP experience for ollivanders)
Great Job On This Video! I Have Never Done The Ollivanders Wand Show In The Parks And I Have Been There A Ton Of Times. I Have To Check That Out Next Time I Am In The Park! - Tyler -
I was in the show yesterday! I guess my Hogwarts legacy hufflepuff house fan robes got me picked lol. I was given a black walnut wand with dragon heartstring.
@@ThePhotogExperience I had been wanting to go to the wizarding world of Harry Potter since I was a kid. I never was able to. I had my 25th birthday over the weekend (May 13th), and I had planned with my wife for us to go. I’m not going to lie, I teared up a bit when the Hogwarts train pulled up with the Harry Potter soundtrack playing. For a moment, I was that young curious kid again. I know it sounds funny for a grown man to be so emotional over such things. My own wife was surprised, because I don’t often have such acts of involuntary emotion. To be able to be chosen for the wand ceremony and experience the Hogwarts train, it was something that my inner child needed.
@@factsoftheconfederacy7151 the emotions that you get when you enter that place… my gosh. I remember my first time, it was back in 2018. It was breathe taking. My wife and I are HUGE HP nerds. Our daughter even had a decked out HP nursery haha.
There are different costs. If you want an interactive one, we’re you can cast spellings through your the wizarding world, will cost around. 59.99 and up. If you want a non interactive one, I believe they are around 49.99 and up.
Ollivanders was my best experience. When I was in the show, I got picked!

You really need to check it out, it’s free and you don’t have to buy a wand either. Just got in for the show and walk through.
He should have picked someomone who didn't already have a wand.
