My last aquascape I used cryptocoryne balansae and spiralis and it made for such a great background and created the exact effect I was looking for. I took down the scape about a month ago to create something new and gave it all to my local shop, man were they happy.

Hi from Texas. Just got back in to the hobby since my kids are now bigger. Your videos are inspiring and knowledgeable and i started my 75 gallon tank. Will start planting in a few days and will keep looking at your videos for more knowledge. Thanks for helping us out.

I've got one of these on order. Hopefully, the hard water here in southern California will make this plant feel at home. Great video. Take care.

Great plant, one of my standards. I started with one small plant in 2018..slow starter. When I started with Seachem Iron?..it exploded. Grew huge and fast ..in a pot. No way will I unleash this beast in the 240's substrate. I didn't even use a large pot..just 4"..and it grew to the top of the 24" tank and then across another 8" or more. That little pot is nothing but stems and tall. Maybe next year divide it...but it seems to just control itself just fine. Interesting too Corvis? It has not sent a runner up and out of the pot like Vallisneria will do or Sagittarius. In a pot its zero need for pruning -ever.

I agree! This is a plant that hogs nutrients! It might be just luck, but mine never spread to the front of the tank. It was as if it knew that it would be eradicated from there. It created a back wall on it's own.

Cool plant. I don't think I ever heard it said like crypto - cor-eye-nee before. I always thought it was like crypto-corn or maybe cor-in. It is kind of funny how lots of fish and plant species get pronounced multiple ways.

Very helpful. Now I know why my C. balansae just doesn't grow.

LOL, I do hate spiders! Great video. I’ve wanted to try this for some time given I do have hard water. Thanks for the great video!

Hey, I really enjoy your channel btw! I have a question, I use containers to add water to my 30-gallon tank after a water change when can I add the water conditioner? i have been adding a little with each container but in doing that my measurements aren't really accurate, can I add after I fill the tank without the chlorine hurting my fish?

I may not be the one you were wanting to get the answer from, but you can the full amount in the first container after you turn your filters back. So that the filters flow helps circulate your water conditioner.Thats the way I've done it in all of my tanks, and I've never had an issue

Great vid! Can’t say I like either of those crypts though. They just get too long for my aquascaping tastes. I will say that I have used SeaChem’s Equilibrium to get C. spiralis growing like a weed.
    Cheers,
    Chris

I think I got this plant, its called crispatula in my region. Seems to be doing alright in my hard water, even though its growing pretty slowly.

Nice plant, but if it takes over the aquarium that will need a lot of maintenance huh.
