Hey Barry please do the dark side of the spoon the rock cook book it would be a great laugh seeing you dress up as gene Simmons or even just the puns
I hope you get to do a cooking video with the lovely pizza master!!!!
Assuming you and Ashens aren't already planning this, you should do a "Will it Ravioli?" video, both with viewer/Patron suggestions on top of at least a couple of ideas you two think up. I can only imagine the normal sounding and unorthodox filling suggestions people would think up, especially given this cook book recipe exists.
They could challenge each other too, pick an ingredient the other has to make and see who does it best
Somewhere, out there, an Italian sheds a tear. 🇮🇹 💧
Of joy? Or dispair?
Lol😂
Yes...me 😅
This is why break up an Italian girl. They take stuff too serious.
😆😆😆😆
Oh, the little girl ❤
lol those Seal outbursts were epic
aww, cold little Boston, doesn't have Amy any more to stay warm, bless him
What happened with Amy????
@@joannajones8519 she went to doggy heaven at the end of April...
@@joannajones8519 She unfortunatly passed away a few months ago
Oh no 😞
Bless her she was such a cutie
It's been a while since I last checked out this channel. I was in need of the chicken soup for the soul kind of feeling the channel gives off. Thanks again, Barry!
Sometimes I wonder who comes up with these ideas for cookbooks!
Haha yeah, this isn't too new either! I think so far my favourite in this playlist is either the Turtle or Bob's burgers books, they really surpassed expectations!
People that want to sell beans 😂 The problem is that bakedbeans make all these recipes worse, not better. Heinz should focus on quick, dirty recipes for when you’re drunk or fancy comfort food. The sauce, whilst being nostalgic, is too processed and synthetic tasting to add to anything without tasting vile. That ravioli filling with the goats cheese, Parmesan and some chopped walnuts would have been infinitely better and a much more intelligent use for freshly made pasta.
What's interesting about baked beans in the UK they all use the same suppliers. The main difference between supermarket economy brands and those from regular supermarket brands upwards will be the actual bean. The basic/saver level will use beans from Africa. The others are mostly from America. While it's the biggest brand Heinz has a recipe that uses more sugar/salt and less spices than most other brands making it one of the cheaper varieties on the market. The mark up on them is massive.
I absolutely love those! And I love ravioli as well, so the video is simply perfect for me! :D
Isn't the "rolling the herbs up" hack like at 9:45 a classic French cooking technique? I think that's how one typically does chiffonade.
Love ravioli, that looks delicious. I love my Tefal pans and the handle, i actually use it on other pants that have broken handles. Over time you clean em up regrease em they feel brand new. Works so well, being French, Tefal can even be bought in mini supermarkets here lol.
Lol I loved the singing!!
Whenever open tin of beans for the old beans on toast …..Before heating up in microwave …..always have to eat a few cold beans as a taster 🤨……….bit strange .. ?? 😊
Aw, bless Willow!
Were church fundraiser cookbooks with recipe contributions from all the church ladies a thing in the UK in the 80s and 90s like they were in the US? I collect them because they are so delightfully quirky. I'd love to see you cook from one of them!
I love those! I have a great one from a church on an Army base, there are a couple joke recipes like Elephant Stew (using a whole elephant, optional a couple rabbits if there’s not enough meat 😂) & some great little stories scattered through. I get so excited when I find them at flea markets or thrift stores.
Also, I recommend Cooking The Books YT channel, it’s a small channel but she has great videos using vintage cookbooks & really goes through & shows the books not just the recipe she makes, it’s great.
Not a popular thing in the 80s or 90s where I live down SE England. There's only one church(I know of) in my area and I don't remember many "non religious events" like fundraisers or fair sales going on growing up, I only know it gets used for Sunday services and toddler groups (in the church hall next door). Mind you, I only went to that church now and then when I was in primary school, never went when not at school as I'm not religious / non religious family. Those cookbooks by the church ladies sounds interesting though, had to google it and take a look, the recipes as you say, look quirky and fun! It would certainly make a great video!
I love the church and group fundraiser cookbook. Plastic spiral bound. Love when they say where the recipe came from, and grandmom or aunt.
@@melissalambert7615 I have one that is entirely grape-themed (from a church in an area known for its grapes/wine) and it's the crown jewel of my collection.
What a lovely little clip from one of your subscribers at the end
Good morning 😊 Looks awesome 😎
Morning! Thanks, it was a good one!
I literally have a phobia of baked beans 🫤😂😂😂
If mixture is raw use a thicker ravioli and thin for precooked filling.
Raw? Like a tartare ravioli? Otherwise I’ve never made a ravioli with raw ingredients. Meats are always cooked before added to the filling.
Hello Barry, thanks for this great Recipe. I take it from the Screen direct at my Table. I love it. 💯❤
I had to chuckle..... the only thing I use my pasta machine for is polymer clay.
I don't make things with clay anymore, but that was all I used my pasta machine for too!
I don't have a pasta machine so let the counter, gravity and a pin do the work and its pretty effective for large sheets of pasta but this did not look good from the start 🤣 also you can use a pie crimping wheel to cut the ravioli and leave a nice crimp shape.
Ok Baz. We NEED to see the stag do pics!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Heinz prices have gone through the roof, I get cheap ones and add Frank's. 🏴
My copy of the Beanz Book has just arrived in the post! Can't wait to make some of the recipes like the Moroccan Bean & Lamb Tagine... Or should that be TaBean!
Erm...I won't say how many tins of beans I have in my cupboard. 😳 They are handy for a cheap and hearty meal. I put half a tin of baked beans into either an oversized cappuccino mug or a deep bowl, a very light sprinkle of dried red pepper flakes, top that with a portion of frozen mash potatoes. I then pop it into the microwave for 5 minutes. Afterwards, I top it with a nice layer of grated mature cheddar and in for another 2 minutes. After the obligatory 2 minutes wait you can dig in. It's the kind of stick to your ribs dish that singe diners can keep warm with on minus degree nights. 😊
It's a posh version of cheese, sausage and bean melt from Greggs :D
And now, "Secret Paasta Flour"🎶 ala Johnny Rivers will be stuck in my head for days.... Love your videos!! 🤌....secret paaasta flour.....sigh...
Think I'd use cannolini beans. Hello to Willow!!!! Love your name!!
Here in the panhandle of Florida they use what I call wide thick noodles as their dumplings. I'm used to the northern version which are like biscuits dropped on top of boiling chicken. They are damp on the outside and fluffy inside. How do you make dumplings?
Seeing you roll out the pasta caused this comment. 😁
Suggestion; a collab with Everyday Africa?
Everyday Africa does recipe collabs with Atomic Shrimp and they’re really interesting 😉👍🏻
Bush's is a popular brand in the US. If you are able and can order them, I suggest their Grillin Beans (lots of different flavors). They are soooooo gooood.
They aren't bad but they're pretty much all bbq 😢 I wish there was some similar to heinz
But they’re not actually baked beans like we have here, they’re the wrong sort of sauce
How ironic is this but towards the oart where barry is talking about the variety of beans i had an ADVERT on UA-cam for bloomin heinz baked beans, i mean what are the odds of that happening 😅😅😅
In the United States we have the same brand of beans. I heard of a kitchen tool it is a hot dog tool I think you can get it from Amazon.
Barry it would be cool to see you actually make Ashens a nice meal.
Maybe you could make one in date, and serve him another one that’s like 3 years out of date?
I also love Rummo pasta. Had to buy some off Amazon to try it
This is the most British thing I've seen today.
4:28 baked beans have 9.8g of sugar (11%) per 100grams, that why I always buy the reduced salt and sugar baked beans
i need to find out how Heinz Baked Beans conquered England/Britain; i get the impression that English people have Heinz beans on toast for breakfast every day; while here in the US the Heinz brand of baked beans doesn't seem to be popular; i often don't see it in the same aisle as the other cans of baked beans, in the regular supermarkets or Walmart
You should read the book! It talks about how he got big over here
Beans on toast can be for any meal not associated with breakfast. Although heize the leader branston another brand popular.
This sounds pretty tasty to me, let's see how it turns out...
Caught me by surprise to be honest!
@@mrbarrylewis I'm enjoying silent, disapproving Homer in the background ;-)
Please try the baked beans sushi!!
You should try the ravioli with Frank's and beans
In St. Louis they dredge ravioli in bread crumbs and deep fry them but I wonder if you could try baking them?
I have to agree in fact not only do i not see baked been ravioli every day I've never seen it before....i may wish i never see it again depending how this ends.
Cottage cheese can be used to replace ricotta cheese.
My mom used to replace ricotta with drained cottage cheese. Do they have cottage cheese in the Uk?
The consistency of cottage cheese is a pretty unpleasant looking substitute unless you lightly blend it, which I do, because it's easier to find and you can get it made with skim milk.
If you want an extremely quirky bean recipe, look up pinto bean pie- it's a dessert.... And apparently an alternative to pecan pie? I found it in an old cookbook, but I'm am not brave enough to try it out.
What would your last meal be on deathrow (innocent of course)
I think the answer to that question changes every day lol
not beans
You should have invited Beanus to join you
Its not just a cook book, its a wiki article too disguise that it not much of a cook book.
In primary school, I used to like beans, then one day, the bench I was sat on in the dining room (early 90s, so chairs apparently hadn't reached schools yet) and it tipped over backwards, I hit my head on a cast iron radiator pipe behind me (should have been legal action there really), and after that, I hated beans, and still do, can't stand the things... :S
In Farmfoods ( a cheaper frozen food store) Heinz baked beans are £1.20 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a tin xx
Hate baked beans but that looked nice
9:15 I think the cheese has already done that and all you will taste is cheese anyway.
UK vs US Heinz Beans are so different. In the US they are ultra sweet and packed with meat "bits". The sauce in the US is less tomato and more savoury. This is why the US can't (and vehemently criticise) beans on toast. I think in the US they use Hunters Beans which I enjoy abroad and ignore that the genes were altered by a scientist
I can't eat baked beans form a can, I gag when I try, just like canned soup.
I don't think I ever have, would struggle too!
Rename dish to cheese ravioli with beans.
I'd have drained the sauce off the beans and reserved for the sauce over the ravioli
Barry I have to ask....yoy often say you eat cold food. But why not serve up 2 portions and use one to taste the food hot and one to get a thumbnail
Also, why was the row of cheesy ingredients so blindingly white lol I played with my colour contrast for ages before deciding it was you lol
Sounds like a depression recipe
I miss Amy.

So British my teeth went crooked watching it.
The British obsession with Heinz baked beans will never make sense to me. Not gonna yuck your yum, though, y'all do you.
A small PSA, don't buy Pugs; when they have their tongue out all the time like poor Boston here, it means they can't breathe properly.
End "designer" dog breeding, adopt from your local shelter!
wheres amy these days ?
Amy passed away a few months ago😔
Its half not haaaaaf a tin of beans???
Hmmm...probably the worst of these kinds of vids on the playlist I think. Still entertaining to watch, I just think the baked beans add very little when there's so much cheese in there, then the sauce on the outside. The beans are pointless, they don't even add any texture or anything. Baked beans, in general, are fairly bland tasting. Especially Heinz. Meh, maybe the other recipes in there pimp the beans a bit more.
baked bean rangoons 🤔
Glad to see Boston all cuddled up, I love how his tongue hangs out the side lol. And of course we're glad to see you too Barry!
Always good to see an episode of the Boston show where he helps his human cook!
Love your wee subscriber she is the cutest.
Its ‘bean’ fun watching your video
Heinz made a range of baked bean pizzas, Barry, and they were ridiculously good. And then they stopped them. Aaaargh!
Anyone else remember them?
Definitely! Not sure if it was a Heinz one or not but I also remember an all day breakfast pizza as well which was surprisingly edible...
They’re back
@@handsoffmycactus2958 - And there was much rejoicing!
The canned baked beans will always remind me of the movie Tommy with Ann Margaret lol

I wonder what Beanus would think of these?
I would want to see more microwave recipes from you! I'd never do them myself and you are pretty honest about how things turn out!
where do we recommend cookbooks? theres both jurassic park and world cookbooks

Barry, you should try the "unofficial Sims cookbook". Think it could be great fun 😁
That sounds intriguing 🤔!!!

HI BARRY
DEBRA HERE FROM S WALES
What are you going on about, I absolutely love baked beans straight from the tin they are gorgeous hot or cold, except I do not like Heinz I much prefer Branston baked beans.
Beanus (Mr Biffo) would probably endorse this video.. :)
You should check out the Orange is the New Black cookbook.
There are loads of cookbooks on just based on 1 main ingredient

Greek food for a video
I have nachos with baked beans, chorizo, pork sausages and mozzarella and it might sound absolutely disgusting but infact it's actually beautiful
Glad there was a picture to the audio. "OK, so the pastor is cooking away. (...) I love how it's got a little hat." ... uh ... whut? Ripped me right out of my parallel daydreaming. :D
Not certain I would make this with a cheese and lemon combination, but cheese and Alfredo sauce I would.Thank you for the idea.. All the best to you and yours.
