first man under 2:06. I think 2:06 will be a requirement now to medal at international championship. One of the deepest events internationally.
It’s interesting that once one person drops below a mark (think the sun 4 minute mile) how quickly everyone else drops below that mark there after. I think you’re right there, but breaststroke IMO is kinda fringe compared to other strokes so not as deep of a field

wowwwwww what a phenomenal swim i didn't even know that , i saw the first page on youtube and it showed the line a new world record Zac Stubblety-Cook and i got in and absolutely insane performance. he swam very smart and keep his pace for the end . in 200 meter breastroke still lot of improve and he will be the man to watch in the world championship in budapest

I just noticed there's no 15 meter rule for breaststroke start.
Or off the turns. The pullout is limited because it cannot be done consecutively. Dolphin kicks in the other strokes are limited by distance because they can be done over and over.
