- One is Australia's Sports Leader, the other is trying too play catch up. Commentary difference between Channel 9 and FOX Sports is truly remarkable as Phil Gould blows a top at the decision to overturn the try.
I think Fox League's Commentary team is better than Channel 9's Commentary team
Agreed
wow what is Goulds problem, they got the decision correct. Hearing him whinge on and on about the video ref was bordering pathetic. I agree some things must change with the way the video ref is used, but not on this occasion. The right call was made in the end. Goulds lost my respect.
It wass a knock on. Does anyone think Gould wouldve carried on like that if it was Penrith? Not likely.
In nz we only get 9 commentary which ruined the great game for me. Any chance of uploading the whole game with Fox.
I'm with you brother, channel 9 commentary leaves me cold
Gould's major problem was that in 1989 the Bulldogs had the audacity to tell him he wasn't needed anymore. Ever since then he's hated them.
Lol
@@buttsforpm2260 yeah, this has aged well
@@Timbulathespidermonk hahahahha yeah
So Long as Gould has any association with televised or broadcasted league, you can be assured more and more people will give up supporting the game. Play the whistle and get on with what is only a ball game mate. NRL is sinking into the shitter..
Phil Gould is grinding his axe because Canterbury ditched him for Chris Anderson all those years ago.
He is unprofessional and egotistical
thanks for the upload :)
Warren Smith & Andrew Voss > Phil Gould & Ray Warren
Great upload!
it's very rarely I agree with Gus but on this I do. without a dogs player interfering in the play the storm player catches the ball all day long, you can see by where is hands are. to forensically check everything like that is B/S. if that's done then almost every try ever scored is not given. this was checked at frame by frame to try and find a reason to say no try. I'd like to know why this try when none of the other tries in the game got the same treatment.
Ur comment made no sense... If u actually knew the rules u would know that it's a no try
titan6001, Do you really want a game that is so closely scrutinized like that try was where they go back that far to find an error. And my others point was the inconsistent handling of rulings that this showed. As far as I the result of the game, as a Broncos fan I don't care but I don't want to have the ruined by over scrutinized every time a decision needs to be made. The survived a long time with no video Ref.
Yeah I understand where ur coming from but its always been if they haven't been tackled when the error happened and the try being scored they check back to it, if they got tackled they wouldn't have even gone back to check it but I
agree it is stupid sometimes
Sometimes I wish for the old days when the game was much simpler, but I guess there is so much pressure on everyone including the officials to get it right this is what we get . Still could be worse, it could be like union with over 380 rules just for the rucks and mails.
KowloonDiplomat
of course not, that's not the point I'm talking about the ruling not what the players are doing in the course of normal play.
is it live on fox aswell??
No. Fox Sports commentate on the game live, but it is broadcast as a replay later in the night.
reynolds knocked on pure and simple it comes back to the nrl corruption
Mishelle Armstrong Bulldogs still would have won anyway even if it was a try
Gould deals with sensationalism. It's that simple. Fox Sports doesn't have to keep people entertained live so they can afford to actually commentate. Gould just wants to keep people entertained and, though he's obviously in the past, it works because he's interesting and controversial.
Entertaining? He saps all the fun out of it for me.
I love Gus, but he was wrong on this one. So was Rabs.
should of been a try\
