Clear knock on. Gus, as always, is a muppet.
Im not a fan of either team but that's a clear knock on
As a Cowboys fan, it was a knock on. Fair call.
Great video, this is exactly why i stopped watching channel 9. Absolute muppets in commentary who get too emotionally invested in the games to the point where they become biased.
it's close, but was 100% a knock on. his arm was facing towards the cowboys try line which means that because the ball travelled perpendicular to the centre of his body, and his arm was behind him, therefore it's gone forward slightly by like 30cm.
It was a knock on fellas, the years before Cowboys had been knocked out in controversy. But Lui got a touch on that. It was fairly disallowed.
Great work mate. just goes to show the bias commentary by Channel 9
I felt ill after seeing this happen to the Cowboys for the 3rd year in a row. I'm a Broncos fan and I lost a lot of faith in Rugby league when this happened and even though the Cowboys got the premiership this year I will never forget this game and how rough it was to deal with.
whats also worse in this situation time is still on during those reply when they brought in a new rule last 5 mins during any stopage of play time has to come to a complete stop. so also its ruining there chance to get atleast 1 set in return
Quite clearly a knock on.
It wasn't this call that screwed them up it was when it was 30-30 and sbw lost the ball and they said penalty and then roosters went down field and kicked the winning field goal and 15 minutes before that when it was 30-30 SKD ran an clear obstruction 15 metres out from their own line
I’m first to call the game rigged, hate the rorters but that my dear Watson was a knock on!
For all it’s worth it was actually the right call, just because it’s Thurston doesn’t change the rule book, only Cameron Smith can do that
just because Thurston scores the try, if any other cowboys player, we wouldn't be talking about it at all.
I love how rabs is clashing with that other commentator
lui touch the ball and it went forward.
I thought it was a no try cuz he ran into the ref (IT WAS A CLEAR KNOCK ON
That's why there's only been a Queensland grand final once
Lui is facing his own goal line. Let's assume for a moment that instead of brushing his arm, he makes a quick catch-pass. Would it have been ruled a forward pass by the touch judge 5m behind play? hard to imagine it would. Another strange aspect to this case is the actions of the touch judge. I can't recall any other instance where the touch judge has stopped moving and called a knock on before the try is scored. The game is in the hands of the ref, the TJ is the assistant. The TJs nearly always wait until the play finishes before approaching the ref. Why was the TJ so keen to stop the play and quickly say "no try"?
