I relate so much to Joel
I'm usually quiet irl and I try my best to take care of the people around me
But when it comes to something I'm passionate about, I can feel so much freedom into that thing and I can just act as I want to. I'd just say, as an introvert, he's more energized in his own zone (Minecraft/UA-cam Vids). I still don't get it why people misundertand him.

Just watch some of the old video of joel, he's hella chill, the bit starts with minecraft empires where he's an arrogant god where he once insult us (his audience) then he stopped, but people still wanted it(to be insulted by him) so that's where it started
If his old video isn't a tall tale sign he's chill, watch Lizzie (ldshadowlady) old viddeo (his wife) there's some video there where they did irl stuff, he's also chill in that too

Unfortunate that there are still plenty of people that don't recognize this. They don't think about the fact that a person's behavior is different on camera vs in private. Minecraft in particular has a lot of young viewers so I guess they just haven't learned to distinguish reality from fiction/entertainment/acting
