This modification is probably for a special drift car.

This arm is from BMW E46 , it can be fitted into BMW E36 if you mill the hex end into a circle, with this modifiaction you achieve more raid and camber (common and cheap mod for drifting).
CZ: Toto rameno je z BMW E46 , lze jej osadit do BMW E36, pokud vyfrézujete šestihranný konec do kruhu, touto úpravou dosáhnete většího raidu a odklonu (běžná a levná úprava na driftování).

Or you can just buy a purpose made hex bushing or FCAB unit to avoid machining, probably easier in case you ever need to replace the control arm.
It was nice to see the machining process though 👍
