Rice
---
2 cups basmati rice
2 1/2 cups water
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vegetable seasoning
1 tbsp kerrygold butter
1 tbsp green seasoning
3-4 spring onions
3-4 sprigs thyme
1 scotch bonnet pepper
-------------
Reggae Shrimp
----------
750g shrimp (deveined with tail tip left on)
1 drop of oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp mixed herbs
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 cumin
1 mini red and orange pepper and a small carrot
1-3 spring onions

Callaloo
------
1 tbsp butter
2-3 tbsp green seasoning
1 can callaloo
1 tsp vegetable seasoning

If you turn the heat down when cooking the plantains you would cook them slower and they will taste better and definitely won't turn black. Enjoy.

Yes that polish seasoning called kuharak you put in the rice it's the bomb I use it on every thing great substitute to salt all-purpose and any seasons you use very versatile I love it you all need to try it

Gal get a wok don't struggle with shallow pans. You will enjoy so much more and flips in seconds! It has so many uses especially if you get one with a lid!
Hi Marge and Terri Ann, this is great advice! I have a carbon steel 14” inch wok from an Asian Market and I can cook nearly everything in it. Aside from Stir Fries, can cook veggies, pop popcorn, can fry in very little oil, steam, etc.
I tried this today and the fam lovvvvvvvved it. The flavour combination is spot on! You saved Sunday looking forward to your next creations

Hi like your show in trinidad we put a little piece of pumpkin or butternut squash you can grate it since you used a can callalloo and about five finely chop orchroes with some rich coconut milk with a whole pepper in it like you did with your rice when it thickens turn off then put in blender and pulse it for 4 seconds and enjoy with anything rice mac and cheese fish anything you want enjoy

Here in Trinidad we boil our plantains and then slice it up, so instead of your fry plantains we boil our ripe plantains. I usually eat fry plantains with bake, so yummy.

I love callaloo never learned to make it being born here and my Mom left to come to America at such a young age, her Mom didn't teach her and now they're both gone so i'm learning on my own. Every in law I have is practically Island born and don't have my cooking skills
