When we are in such a serious mess and serious words have to be heard, why on earth should we have to be distracted by music playing in the background. The situation deserves better than this.
I've just said the same thing, wouldn't you think they'd make them turn the music off or down while he addresses the nation that is in such a mess.
The music was probably played by protesters.
It was probably an anti-government protest and it carries better than shouting. I like Rishi but also like that we are tolerant and that people can protest. Our brains are big enough to not get overwhelmed by the music.

He should have said - "It was me who borrowed 100's of billions that got us in this situation. I also put up your taxes to the highest levels since WWII. I've been the chancellor for the past few years so am to blame for much of the instability you are concerned about. I am the problem."

As an American and slightly leaning toward the right on issues, I can say that the Tories deserve to get blown out of the water the next time an election happens by the Labour Party. Oh well, I guess. At least they got Brexit done.

Labour will be even worse. Labour run cities and councils tend to be the worst. The Tories utterly wasted "the mandate" - the majority that the public gave them. Wasted years and gave it away to Labour. Last minute electioneering is very unlikely to cut it - he undermined and sacked Braverman - who actually wanted to do something. He continually fails to read the room. Trust is in short supply; Labour WILL be worse, but that isn't enough to save the Tories. What a shambles.
