An interesting take on things, however. Rayner, and this Labour government will fail as badly as Badenoch and the Tory government did. We will however, see a difference in how these two politicians deal with their failure. Rayner will deal with it in a far less classy fashion. A plague, however, on both their houses.

Although I'm not African migrant, I'm a woman of colour and a migrant coming to UK in my 20s. I have just listened to this fantastic speech and decided to support Kemi, NOT because of these left woke slogan and ideology that she's a woman and she's not white, because she's competent, brutal honest and spot on. That's what I want from a politician, and I hope what most people with sense want!
That's also the argument for migrants: people who are willing to work hard to contribute, to value and respect the British values are welcome always, but those who simply wish to take advantage of the welfare system, have no respect of laws and rules, break the core of British society, should not be welcome or allowed in. Skin colour and origin are not the issues.

I remember a phrase being used at work to describe the most blindly ambitious people. It was that they keep climbing the ladder until they reach their level of incompetence. As someone who has been involved with developing major housing projects, particularly the front end, planning permission can easily take 2 years. These sites usually have to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as part of the planning process, which includes a lot of issues, particularly wildlife and Sites of Special Scientific Interest, etc etc. So you prepare these reports and they accompany the planning application, there are then discussions with the Planners and inevitably changes are required, so all of this takes time and the EIA will be out of date and a new one is required, so another year is required.
Also capacity of drainage, electricity, gas, water, changes to local roads, relocating electrical pylons etc etc , so somewhere along the line you will , no doubt, have to deal with some of these.

The British public did the wrong thing by letting the Tories win even 1 seat. Look it up, Tory MPs vote to the left of Labour voters, they're not conservative in literally any regard. If they were they wouldn't be pushing 2 blacks and an Indian for leader.
Fewer voters voted for Labour in 2024 than did in 2017 or 2019. It was Conservative voters voting Reform, not voting or even voting Lib Dem that caused the Conservative Party to haemorrhage votes

This speech is clearly an indication of her intention to pursue the party leadership position, not sure if she has the experience but after watching her performance my doubts are reducing.
