Thanks for doing this, it can help others to do something a little more creative than burning an FX slot on the limiter. I am going to try to put the stereo expander on the matrix in one song and ex1 on another. I recommended ex1 the past video which I think you did mention in this one. Also, that reminds me, you would be a good presenter to show how to do snippets to make adjustments in a show/service to change settings between songs. Such as to adjust pan, bus sends, maybe which effect is used for a song and also perhaps reverb settings. I do some of this for each song and also change who gets a de-esser for whomever is leading a song, then for message section, can make other changes. I am also using live professor for a bit more stuff and adjust per song too.
Yep, I'm glad you made the suggestion to take a different look at these FX. It was a fun experiment and hopefully gives people some liberty to explore on their side to find something that will work for their specific situation. I did put the snippets on my list to make because I do think they can be super helpful for people so keep your eyes out for that in the future.
@@AllamHouse I went up to AES in NYC two weeks back. Got to play with an A&H dLive S5000 for about 2 hours. What a difference between our X32 world and that - but you do pay up for that kind of tech.
@@AllamHouseused Stereo Expander today on both keys stereo bus and also final matrix. Pretty nice. One way to actually get an X32 to sound reasonably good online. Moving off the EX1 to try other things. Limiter just was good to boost, but we now are using a limiter on Wirecast, so messing with the matrix a bit more. Matrix compressor now last in matrix config chain with 20:1 ratio and just trying to tame anything too loud. Clipped a couple times but nothing noticeable.
That is a great tip. I think if I was running a mixdown on the console for a 2-track I would have the space to use this setup. I'm going to give it a try later this week.
Voce resolveu meu problema, Eu estava precisando fazer mais de um insert no Main, usando oa matrix eu consigo fazer isso certo?? ai seria so rotear para matrix?
Yes, if you send your Main mix to. matrix pair it will provide another inserted FX rack option. Then you can send your Matrix out to your PA for sound.
@@AllamHouse Essa mixagem e pra uma LIVE da igreja, sendo asism posso enviar uma copia do master para o Matrix e pego a matrix e envio para Vmix/OBS, certo?
Yes, you can send a main mix to a Matrix and then out to a livestream, but you don’t have separate control over the mix for the house and stream or the volume output. I prefer to run a Post Fader MixBUS which you can find descriptions of in these two videos. The first is more about the routing to get it out USB and the second is a full walk through of how to refine your mix for the stream. These are very effective and handy.
Thanks for the encouragement. What are some other effects you use right now?
Hello ! Thanks for sharing your experience.
I’m happy to. Let me know if you have any questions.
Great video! I learned a lot.
Thanks for the encouragement. I’m glad you found it helpful.

Yeah, I worked on that desk about 8 years ago and it was quite a machine. Dynamic EQ, Multiband compression, etc… but the price tag.

Using the exciter subtly in parallel on some channels helps the become fuller

Edison is great for dead vocals...
Thanks for sharing with the community. I’ll have to keep it in mind the next time I get in that situation.
