Nice informative video especially for newbies to the area. Parents originally from the area so we vacationed with grandparents and fished this area every summer growing up. I'm retired now so wife and I spend the summers with our kids and grands fishing the upper 50 miles of the St Lawrence and the Eastern side of Lake Ontario. So many game species besides the Smallies to fish for we never get tired of it. Last summer we spent almost 5 months and fished every day but three when we went to Lake Placid. Love this area. Thanks

Excellent job man. You can be a long time great fisherman and come into a place you’ve ever fished before and take an entire week to learn how to fish the place so even the simplest of tips can make your trip a lot better. Really appreciate it. We’re heading up for, about a week to fish for a week see how we do at Chippewa and get back to you

Thank you for making this video! I think I’m your target audience! It’s exactly the info I needed. I fish for smallmouth a lot on the Susquahanna river in PA and have had my eye on st Lawrence river for a while. 7 hr drive for me. An older gentleman told me about Riverbay Adventure Inn and it looks perfect. Going to reserve a room soon. Is there a particularly good month for me to come? Is there a difference in the amount of wind at different times of year? I’m thinking sometime between April and august.

Late June or early July would be best and just give yourself a few days to play with cause yes the wind can be your enemy. The weather isn’t consistent on the st Lawrence

What do you mean by big fish. I catch a ton of 5 and 6 pounders in Clayton . Are they even bigger?

@@politicalfisherman540 5 and 6 pounders are big to me. There are 7 and 8s but I’ve never caught one!

@@ditchfishing9148 I agree, just didn't know how big they were in the lake. Erie has the same caliber of fish , just no structure like up there. I love the river.
