Zahra Gorilla Update - Interview with Audra

Baby Gorilla Update: Zahra and Toni continue to bond behind the scenes! Now 9-month-old Zahra is being introduced to other members of Mac’s troop and the two will join the rest of the group when they are ready. The Zoo’s animal care team will take cues from Zahra and Toni (an experienced surrogate) to determine when they're ready to transition to each important phase. This energetic girl comes to us from the Milwaukee County Zoo after her parents unfortunately passed away in April from an infection. The Congo Expedition team and the animal health staff have all fallen in love with Zahra! We will continue to keep you posted as updates become available, so stay tuned!
