Just earlier today I was thinking “golly gee, I sure could go for a rewatch of the Lachie LN Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Booster Course Pass DLC reviews, but they’re just not all in a digestible, complete, remastered package!” I am so glad you posted this coincidentally just in time amazing watch from start to finish!
My biggest problem with the tour city tracks is that there are too many european city tracks and pretty much no tracks from poor/underdeveloped countries, it gets repetitive seeing tracks from the same boring countries, while a lot of interesting cities from poor countries were ignored, i'm from Brazil and really miss a track based on here
I think that 's because european has very different architecture while many other cities are more recent and have all Skyline but most of them have very similar Skylines . So i think that 's Why Nintendo chose a lot of european cities But a Rio track would be intresting in my opinion .
@mejeanquenti2963 wdym they didn't have do the city they could be gone the Rome way and done the Maya pyramids in Mexico or a carnival in Brazil or volcanoes in Hawaii or any other non European boring architecture
Well, the Japanese version labeled tracks that debuted in Tour as such (Merry Mountain, Ninja Hideaway and Piranha Plant Cove), the other 3 didn’t have that labeling. People like myself call these tracks, Tour Nitros since they are original and don’t use a city for their motif.
That’s actually very interesting, didn’t know that! Weird though, because the other 3 were also clearly made with tour in mind at the very least. But at least it’s more accurate
I get why people doesn’t care for Peachette, but she’s my fave. She just reminds me of magical girls, specially Sailor Moon with the giant bow, so I can’t help but main her.
Personally, this is my list for the best track from each wave Wave 1: Choco mountain. Definitely not the best of the BCP, but the texture work honestly isn’t that bad! Wave 2: honestly, I love GBA snow land. The ice physics makes it so much fun, and the giant shortcut around the beginning is incredibly fun! And the texture of the ice road is actually really good! Wave 3: For me, I’d have to say the best track is DS Peach gardens. I absolutely love the music, and just the fact that they actually took the time to replace the low-poly flowers with the ones from MK8 make it gorgeous! And going the opposite way for the third lap really makes it a great track! Wave 4: *GBA RIVERSIDE PARK IS THE GREATEST THING EVER OH MY GOD!!!* (and yes, I am aware the plant models are still low poly) but aside from that, it’s an absolutely gorgeous track. The skybox has incredible detail, the sunset really gives it a beautiful atmosphere, and gives it such relaxing lighting. The little clouds of fog in the background make it beautiful, and the texture work. I seriously adore the textures on the rocks, road, and grass. Not to mention the animation for the waterfall, and clear river are just breathtaking. If not for the models being a bit lower poly, it seriously could’ve passed for a base game track. Wave 5: Seriously, I literally love Squeaky Clean Sprint. It follows a similar theme to GBA Ribbon Road, having you shrunken down to like an inch tall. I think the music is the best part though, which makes it such a relaxing experience. All the places you go through seriously make it a great time! I think as far as the gameplay goes, the underwater section in the bathtub is the best part. So yeah, really feels worthy of being a Nitro track for MK8 Wave 6: SNES Bowser castle 3. It looks phenomenal! Although I feel like the gameplay could’ve been just a bit better, the texture work carries this track. It might be the only track that truly feels at home with the base tracks.
I don’t know, while I definitely prefer the detailed texturing of base 8, I almost found the style to be too pseudo realistic for Mario and I really enjoy the cartoonish aesthetic and bright popping colors of the tour style. It fits Mario better. However they could have definitely done a lot better with the textures.
Yeah but the gaming industry hasn’t drastically changed their prices much at all over the last decade, until very recently but nintendo hasn’t really participated much (they’re just barely starting to now)
A lot of them have items though, and on certain tracks give you enough speed on landing to take shortcuts. Like Wii Rainbow Road and Rosalina’s Ice World. Also, they’re just fun as hell!

just finished watching, this is immaculate
Great video! Was hooked the whole time!

I was sad when the datamined Rio city track just ended up being Rome. I love Rome Avanti, but come on a Rio track would've been so cool.

Se Nintendo coloquei um track no Brasil isso seria mais interessante que só os circuitos europeus 😭
Rio, Cairo, Hong Kong and Moscow would of been banger city tracks

What a fun watch of all the waves. 96 tracks is insane and it make the game feel fresh as I’ve been playing it since the Wii U in 2014.

Wave 3 and 4 are still the absolute peaks of the BCP. It started off pretty bad, got much much better, then it got very middle of the road
I think Wave 4 was peak, but honestly enjoyed wave 5 more than 3.
Holy shit this deserves more views

haha glad someone can enjoy it then!

My fav track didn’t make it :( Dino Dino jungle
Hopefully it’ll get a good remake in the future
te ramp for the n64 remake is good for me, i mean its better to have a ramp appears than just having to go left, even if no make much sense.

In Silokhawks price comparison, he didn't account for inflation.

Ok@@LachieLN
"Yes" - thank you for watching
suprised you didnt disregard half pipes cause they were always slower than not taking them like silok-hawk did in his reviews.
A lot of them have items though, and on certain tracks give you enough speed on landing to take shortcuts. Like Wii Rainbow Road and Rosalina’s Ice World. Also, they’re just fun as hell!
@@LachieLN ah, i always felt as tho he was a bit harsh on halfpipes in those reviews.
1:07:03 U werent wrong lol
I don’t understand why everybody is so caught up with visuals it looks fine it’s Mario Kart who cares.
that’s sorta the point of a review…
My overall take on these courses is that they are oversimplified and lazy in design.
Yeah, that can be a common trend with some of them
Piklopedia music!
48:42 bland wall textures 😃🤸
Those are plastered walls in Lachie LN's living room, probably gyprock and/or stucco, and those are the textures in that living room
bias for sydney track is a lil crazy it’s as ugly as the others
It’s just kinda more lively was my main thing with the visuals, more moving stuff, nicer environments. not really graphically, i agree
Tour is the worst thing to happen to Mario Kart.
