I knw it's a lot of suspicions these days are rising nd too much suspicion dsnt do any good fr anyone but passing Bill's like this and these Bill's r nt perfct they have many loop holes tht can be exploited by big companies now more than ever , without even taking into consideration what the oposition has to say really does put a thought into many minds or atleast some minds like mine if these reforms r for the good of people why not do it in a proper way on a proper dice explaining everything in detail and hearing opinions of others instead of just passing a new reform each day on such a fast basis which dsnt even give anyone the time to understand y nd fr what purpose these laws r for is not so much a of democratic way each member on the sabha represents millions of people so passing laws in absence of tht much mp's or atleast even one is denying the opportunity to hear the voice of tht many people since one mp represents the thought and voices of tht much people

I think everyone remembers the time when Congress had numbers in Rajya Sabha and would block every bill passed by the elected house for NO reason at all except because they could do it... Now that they dont have the numbers they simply try to disrupt and walk out... Everyone keeps giving gyan that India needs URGENT & BOLD reforms ... But when the reforms come everyone wants these to be sent to committee... Which only means delay and dilute... Countries like Vietnam & Bangladesh have NO opposition hence could do things way faster and better... Finally we seem to have a similar situation... Rejoice !!

This is a good law. Businesses should have the liberty to get rid of excess employees if they see a business need. I still remember my father-in-law used to have only 99 employees to bypass the law of Govt. approval if he laid of any employee. When businesses have the liberty to hire and fire, ultimately they hire more. This is a good law for India.

A step in the right direction for employment creation .In a state like Kerala, it is almost impossible to fire an insubordinate, non-performing employee. Look at the other extreme; In the USA anybody can be hired or fired at the will of the employer. Unions (police unions excluded) have been crushed from 30% in the 1960s to 6% now resulting in wage stagnation at all levels. Most workers in the unorganised sector live in fear of getting fired if they try to unionise or if their employers become unhappy. The state and federal labour department budgets in USA have been cut steadily over the years to make them toothless in investigation of violations or enforcement of existing laws. India needs to improve enforcement mechanisms (modenise policing which is the lagacy of the raj) and redressal of grievances (modernise its 19th century court system).

One of the biggest concerns of setting up factories in India is frequent/flash strikes by workers, unionization, and limited flexibility for hiring and firing labour and these issues are faced even by smaller businesses. New labour laws address these issues and hopefully investments in manufacturing start increasing.

I like your approach of being fare. What is good for the Nation and people at large you put forthright with the same spirit as you condemn the one that’s not good for all.

Sir, you missed the change in strike notice period. It has been changed to lower the instances of strike or give companies more time to respond

Dear Shekhar sir, Not sure if 'Platform' workers refer to the railway platform operations here. It is probably referring to platform aggregators like Ola/Oyo, especially if it is clubbed with 'gig workers'.

Dear Shekarji, In my assessment the bills were rail roaded in the RS without vote to give opposition some sort of quid pro quo oppourtunity to protest and create a tamasha. The opposition didn't have the numbers anyways given Mulyayam and by all odds Aiadmk, Biju Patnaik and KCR were in support.

Are there any law, which can prevent employer from firing any employee without cause?
