Imagine being in the audience that night. You heard 4 guys performing LIVE without any electronic trickery used today. This was the 4th song in a 2+ hour concert. And Roger Taylor's drumming and vocals are epic.
Roger Taylor is criminally underrated sometimes in Queen and his backup singing (while drumming no less) is a perfect compliment to Freddy’s lead vocals.
I got to see them twice during the Kind of Magic tour when I was in the army over in Germany and the live shows were unbelievable. I only wish they would have toured the US more. Roger Taylor is one of the best drummers period. Plus he did it all while singing backup vocals. His voice made Queen's sound what it was.
I was at a concert of Roger's band "The Cross" in 1990 and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been. Roger's voice is so amazing but he got overshadowed by Freddie who had one of the best voices in rock history. It was flabbergasted when Queen released "Heaven for everyone" on their last album with Freddie. I knew that sond from the "Shove it" album but with Freddie singing it got a whole new meaning.
“There’s something very different about this guy“……. That’s an understatement! Unfortunately, we’ll never have another Freddie Mercury. He was phenomenal!
Queen is the literal definition of find something you love and you'll never work a day in your life. There was no forcing it, no acting, nothing but pure passion and love for their art. It was so incredibly genuine and allowed them to connect to people in a way not many can.
Freddie liked beer but he always kept tea with honey on the piano during long concerts to keep his throat from drying out. He said he would never drink beer during a performance and risk burping into the mic, it would be disrespectful to the audience.
Powerful and outstanding performance by everyone in the band. When a band is this good live, there is no denying their place in history. Thank you for your reaction.
As you can see, Freddie gets absolutely lost in his songs while performing - he IS the song!! This is soul at its best! John, Brian, and Roger are spot on and so totally engaged with each other. As you delve into Queen's catalogue you will be amazed at the talent these four musicians have. I love your reactions. Thank you, Anne
Brian May on guitar and Roger Taylor drums are still going strong well into their seventies. Check out Queen Official for some of their amazing solo work! Rest In Paradise beautiful Freddie ❤️🥁🎤🎹🎸👑❤️
We saw Queen with Adam Lambert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. before Covid. What an awesome concert that was!! Adam tells you he isn't trying to be Freddie, he is hoping to pay tribute to a great performer. He did a great job. Brian May and Roger Taylor really enjoy performing with Adam.
the best way I can describe how Freddy's voice makes me feel is.... like someone has reached through my chest and grabbed me around my spine and just gently pulls me forward, he was a supernatural level talent.
Thank you..that was a great reaction...you’re on the money about the soul vibe in this song...Freddie wrote it as a tribute to Aretha Franklin whom he admired and hoped that one day she might sing it..you can just hear that in this song🤩
I love watching people not overly familiar with Queen comment on Freddie’s voice and I’m just like, oh one of the best voices of all time has impressed you? Lolol glad people still get to enjoy these magical songs for the first time
Great reaction, thanks. This song was Freddie's favourite, he loved the gospel vibe that is returning in All Gods People, Let Me Live and in his Golden Boy (duet with an opera diva). Freddie was a born musician and performer, but the band members' collaboration, the unity is still legendary.
@@FTBREACTS “Let Me Live” is a great one hardly anyone ever reacts to. Each singer sings a verse and they’re backed up by a gospel choir. There’s only a studio/lyric version, though.

Great reaction! Freddy had mad soul for sure, a self proclaimed bisexual man born in Africa (Zanzibar) to a Parsi family (Iranians who had lived in India for many generations), educated in India and then England where he met the rest of the band! As for the rest the band indeed, they’ve all got the soul too, all of them crazy talented musicians and hit writers!

Great reaction. I got a song for you. I am going to take you back to when QUEEN first got started. The song is called LIAR and you can find it from the Rainbow concert back in 1974. It has a great bass solo and a little bit of everything in it. Thank you for doing QUEEN videos. Take care and have a great day. Your friend, QUEEN BEE 🐝🐝🐝🐝
And if no one else has told you, Dr Brian May and his father actually built that particular guitar and he plays it to this day. By the way his PHD is in Astrophysics. Australia will always be greatful to Queen with Adam Lambert as they allowed their set up to be used for the fire relief concert in early 2020. They even did a version of the LiveAid set that night.
Freddie's astonishing voice it's not up for dabate it's just fact. Even scientific study confirms Freddie Mercury had an unparalleled singing voice. That what makes his voice so special was extremely fast vibrato 7.04 Hz and subharmonics. He was able to create several more layers of harmonics than anyone else. Freddie was using a subharmonics by vibrating his ventricular folds, a technique usually found only in Tuvan throat singers. One of the conclusions from the studies was that "Mercury was vibrating something in his throat that even Pavarotti couldn't move and that kind of creates a very typical vocal fingerprint"
Brian May built his 1st guitar when he was a teenager and made his own sound. And I can't say enough luv for my Freddie. 1 in a million band. They all luved and appreciated each other, very rare.
Loving your Queen reactions. This is arguably the best live band ever, IMHO. Queen can do any genre well. I hope you will do more Queen. This is a band that starts out awesome and only gets better and better the more you watch them. Warning: They are pleasantly addicting. Check out Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow 1974 and White Queen live at Hammersmith 1975 (original video).
So fantastic to hear a young man like yourself appreciate the mega talent of Freddie Mercury and Queen ❤️👑, Freddie's vocal range was epic, nobody will ever be able to accomplish what he contributed to Rock, and Brian and John and Roger were all so amazing as well ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
And this is just FOUR guys - no backup singers (that’s primarily the drummer) or off-camera stuff - and 1981 live recording technology. Simply amazing.
Love your reaction, there are so, so many fantastic songs that Queen has written, No thanks to the media, it’s the fans and there are millions and millions of us of us. If you love guitar solids you will absolutely love White Queen live at Hammersmith the song is out of this world, that is one, here are a few more, Dragon attack live Montreal 1081, Cool Cat the official video, You take My Breath Away live at Hyde park or the official video, Love of My Life live at Wembley stadium 1986, and of course Live Aid 1985, still considered the best live show in rock history, Queen stole the show, and that is just a few. They were absolute true musicians and perfectionists, you will be addicted to Freddie’s voice🤣
I couldn’t agree more on your comments about the video. Thank you 🙏 for appreciating the music 🎶 ❤ Queen & Freddie.., one of the very best bands in the music world history.
To understand the talent of the whole band watch Save Me from the same Montreal concert or the studio version of who wants to live forever. For more soul try Dragon Attack and Another One Bites the Dust And then to see the best live set ever watch Queen at Live Aid.
Amazing legendary performance from an amazing 🇬🇧 band , all the members of Queen have written no1 hits, Queens greatest hits album is still the best selling album of all time in the the Uk 🇬🇧 Brian May lead guitarist hand made his unique legendary electric guitar with his father, apparently made from an old wooden fireplace! I attended many live Queen concerts in the 80s all the members of Queen were amazing musicians!
Love your reactions to Queen! If you want to have your mind blown by Freddie Mercury's vocal power then check out Who Wants To Live Forever. Definitely my favorite Queen song, and it showcases their incredible range and power!
I was at that concert. Celebrated my 24th birthday there. We drove from northern Alberta to Montreal Quebec, 5000 miles return. Nobody performed like Freddie. He owned the crowd. One of the best birthday memories I have. Sadly, Freddie also passed on my birthday 10 years to the day after this concert.
I love your reaction...I grew up with Queen! They still have pulling power! In an interview, someone said to Freddie what once his own bandmates said in reaction to, "Freddie, you're the leader of the band"....his (humble) reply to everyone really: "No. I'm just the lead singer of the band"...Queen. In the beginning, he wanted them, their artist music to be "Royal". They achieved that.
Once you 'Get' Queen...They become part of your soul and mental wallpaper. Queen have been the soundtrack for my life since 1975, I being privileged to see them in concert several times…sending me on a trajectory I could never have imagined. Without Queen's influence, I most likely would never have demanded excellence of myself.....and my life has been all the better for it. Watching young people of this ‘now’ generation react to Queen gives me great joy.., young listeners like you showing your interest and appreciation will keep the legacy of this inimitable colossus of a band alive for generations to come. Dear Freddie showed us inside his heart...and we will love him forever for it.
I wish you were born in the 70's and 80's to experience Queen in concert. Heartbreaking that Freddie is gone but still feel inspired whenever I hear their music. Glad you appreciate them. Yes, Brian May is very chill and highly intellectual 💖
One of my favorite reactions of this song......Freddie Mercury was different - you are so right. He was just one of those extremely gifted humans who work hard and bless the world with their talent.
My favourite reaction to this so far! Just having my daily dose of dear Freddie and Queen. I’ve loved him since first seeing him on TV in 1975 when I was 19. He’s always been and always will be my Persian Prince - or in Freddie’s own words - my Persian Popinjay!! More Queen and Freddie please🥰Save Me and Dragon Attack from the same concert in Montreal 1981 are both brilliant.
Have you listened to any of the early Queen years? Queen was just as brilliant in their early career! A song you must listen to is "White Queen" a night at the Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. This is not only hauntingly beautiful, it has a piano/ guitar part that is out of this world and Roger's drums make it a one of a kind, just like Bohemian Rhapsody! I guarantee that you will not regret it! I really enjoy your reactions, thank you!👍PS. Want your mind to really get blown away, " Under Pressure " with David Bowie!!
Freddie is so missed. I have loved Queen and will always support them! The remaining members are still going strong. They're even doing a special streaming of their current tour I believe on the 24th of July. I know the music still sounds the same and the front man Adam Lambert does his best to let everyone know he's not there to take Freddie's place but to do his best to honor him and the music of Queen. Their harmonies are still the best in the business. That has to be contributed to the additional musicians they have in the band. Spike Edney on keyboards (he's been with them since before Live Aid), Neil Fairclough on bass and Tyler Warren on percussion. Brian doesn't always sing because he's upfront with his guitar playing, but when now all 6 members sing together it's incredible. Roger Taylor got a bit upset with the New York Times when they reviewed the band because it said their harmonies sounded suspiciously accurate. It's a great show.
the whole concert is epic, I have it on DVD as well as Live Aid performance, it is the Best of the Best !! Queen is the best band ever!!! Enjoy your journey!!
I guarantee no matter what type of music someone is into or if someone is having a bad day , as soon as a queen song comes onto play it will make you smile !, thats what music is , thats what talent is , this group was successful worldwide but somehow still underestimated!, iconic doesn't even come close to what queen are !. These songs are timeless masterpieces and i absolutely love how they are reaching into the hearts and souls of old and new !!❤
It was fantastic being a teenager in the 70's when there were so many great bands like never before or after. I don't know a single person that hasn't heard a queen song. They might not know who sang it but they know the songs. What high school doesn't play "we are the champions" at a football game they just won? pep rally's at schools still sing "we will rock you". Then there are songs like "another one bites the dust" and "killer queen" and the list goes on and on. One of my favorite songs by Queen is "love of my life" watch the one he did in Rio that had over a half a million paying people in the audience. When you watch it though, keep in mind that English is not their first language and what they do is amazing and such a strong compliment to Freddie Mercury and the whole band. Think of yourself on that stage and what you would think if that was a song you wrote and the audience did that. The audience has done that at other of their concerts too but I think it is all the more amazing when it isn't even their language. Also you should look up all the times that different concerts that weren't even theirs where the crowd sang bohemian rhapsody while they were waiting for bands like Green Day to come on stage for their concert.
Freddie penned Crazy Thing Called Love in honour of Elvis Presley who he admired greatly that's why it sounds like Elvis xx Freddie and Brian wrote all the songs so not only fabulous artists but talented songwriters too xx
Definitely check out “Save Me” from the 1981 Montreal show, same concert. You will see how versatile the members are. Guitarist Dr Brian May starts out on piano, with his guitar on his lap, and then transitions to guitar while Freddie Mercury transitions from strutting with his half mike to the piano and back to half mike. They do everything so seamlessly that you don’t notice it unless you look for it. Enjoy your Queen Journey. Also, please take time to dig into the deep cuts that do not have a live show or music video associated but only have lyric videos. If you want a real diss track then do the official lyric video of “Death On Two Legs”. The live versions are okay but the studio version is where you can hear the real venom in the song. The song was aimed at their first manager who made money off of the band but the band was stuck in a bad contract that would not allow them to share in the profits coming in from their record sales. It was an ugly breakup with their first management company to their new manager. Under their new manager the band was finally given the license to record records the way they wanted and they started to reap profits from their work.
This is live😁. Freddie was classically trained, loved Opera & had a 5 octave range. Can't wait for you to do their set at charity concert Live Aid. Crowd of 70,000 & broadcast to a billion worldwide. It's been voted best live performance of all time. If you grew up in the UK Bohemian Rhapsody is practically our 2nd national anthem & it was the first EVER music video. Check out the Green Day crowd singing every word to it, while the waiting for Green Day to start.
Funny you should say he has soul. Freddie wrote this one (the other 3 also write, and they are hits), HE was a huge Aretha Franklin fan and this is a homage to her.
Queen are above and beyond. I’m 60 years old so grew up with them. Nothing has or will ever compare. Loving your reactions to Queen. Will be watching your others on Queen now I’ve found you.
If you love music, you just have to love Queen!! Music is not only in their hearts, it's in their souls!! No other group has ever given more passion to music than this fantastic group ❤️
One thing I have always love about Brian May is the minimalist approach to guitar playing. Very blues feel to it, no need to throw everything into a solo. A great solo should feel right. Like a continuation of what the vocals were saying but at an emotional level.
Freddie definitely had soul and swag. He loved black singers like Aretha Franklin, and wrote this song as a homage to the tradition of Black Gospel music. This is my dad's favorite song. Love u dad!
If I had to pick my favorite single live Queen song, this is it! I love this so much & it was very cool to watch your reaction. I’m so glad that you can see & feel how incredibly special Freddie Mercury was. He had extraordinary talent, instincts & a huge heart. The band Queen was equally special. What gifts they gave us! And it’s a legacy that keeps on giving; the songs are timeless and still soul-stirring & inspiring!
Today is January 22, 2023 & after just finding & subscribing to your channel, I want to tell you something amazing about BRIAN MAY, QUEEN GUITARIST WHO YOU SEEM TO LOVE & RESPECT FROM WHAT I HEAR FROM YOU, WAS JUST KNIGHTED BY THE NEW 👑 KING OF ENGLAND !!! 🇬🇧 BRIAN, If nobody has told you, earned his Doctorate Degree in a phase of interplanetary science that he had put on hold after Queen's success delayed finishing what he had started during the 1970s. He was also personally awarded a rare CBE Award by the recently deceased Queen Elizabeth of England & now her son King Charles III just Knighted Brian for his amazing contributions to England. So now " Dr. Brian May Is " Sir Dr. Brian May " ... a n d you and I thought his great accomplishments ended with being called the greatest guitarist ever by most professional musicians. Brian's music is the backbone of Queen's success. He as I'm sure you must know by now, built that guitar with his father from the age of 16 to 18, & plays it every concert to this day with an acoustic now & then for Crazy Little Thing Called LOVE (which Freddie wrote in the bathtub ! ) I grew up with Queen music & to this day have never liked any band as much as Queen... they were magical when the 4 of them toured... & I play their music almost every day. There are so many great bands & vocalists & musicians today, but NOBODY in my humble opinion has ever come close to their extraordinary talents for songwriting & live performances of their amazing music. I am thrilled to hear & visually see you enjoying Queen's incredible talents. You show your admiration & verbalize your genuine respect for their extraordinary musicianship. Your comments are respectful, interesting & intelligent as to the reasons they were so amazingly great. Watching your face says it all. Thank you for reacting to their live concerts... there's many more if you dare to "go down that rabbithole" and I can't wait to watch you hear more of their music. I love seeing musicians get turned onto the greatest band that ever was. Roger Taylor's beautiful voice & drumming brought a third magical sound that intertwines thru each song & John Deacon was hired after going thru endless bassists until they heard John & instantly knew he was "their necessary addition". And we will play their music for many generations to come. Would love for you to react to IS THIS THE WORLD WE CREATED, WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, SAVE ME, YOU TAKE ME BREATH AWAY, ONE YEAR OF LOVE for starters! Until next time, love from a new subscriber that has stumbled upon a very enjoyable new Queen reactor
Freddy was one of the world's best vocalists. He sang with a world-famous opera singer, it was one of his dreams. One of my regrets in life is that he passed before I got to see him perform live.
I forget to mention the incomparable Sir Brian May on guitar a genius and a Professor of Astrophysics and outstanding songwriter as was Freddie himself both such clever men xx Queen really were the most outstanding band xx Sir Elton John was on after them and commented "How the Fuck do I follow that " well the simple answer is no one could wow it brings back so many fabulous memories xx
Thanks, Fitness! as astounding as Freddie is, he would not be the same without the BAND.. I see you givin' up! Look forward to more of your reactions...

I was so blessed to grow up in an era of pure musical talent with no computer aides.
Brilliant! Queen's set at Live Aid concert from 1985. You will be blown away again! There is so much more for you to hear from them. 😎💖
early work: WHITE QUEEN live at Hammersmith, IN THE LAP OF THE GODS live at the Rainbow, STONE COLD CRAZY live
Absolutely, Kathleen!!!
Here for the LEGEND!!!🔝🔝
He’s always been and always will be my
Persian Prince - or in Freddie’s own words - my Persian Popinjay!! More Queen and Freddie please🥰Save Me and Dragon Attack from the same concert in Montreal 1981 are both brilliant.
Thanks for your feedback here. Freddie was something different man and queen was an amazing band
My first contact high and my first concert. I was 13; I'm 53 now. Still the best show I've ever seen. Freddie is an enigma.
I was there at the Montreal Forum, I was 16 with my high school friends, even today in 2022 I still get goosebumps :)
the whole concert is epic, I have it on DVD as well as Live Aid performance, it is the Best of the Best !! Queen is the best band ever!!! Enjoy your journey!!
Queen were legendary live. This show has a number of standout performances. BoRap, love of my life, dragon attack to name a few.
This whole concert was amazing.
Dragon Attack
Save me
Love of my life
Saw them in concert in the 70's...4th row seats. Best concert experience!
I guarantee no matter what type of music someone is into or if someone is having a bad day , as soon as a queen song comes onto play it will make you smile !, thats what music is , thats what talent is , this group was successful worldwide but somehow still underestimated!, iconic doesn't even come close to what queen are !. These songs are timeless masterpieces and i absolutely love how they are reaching into the hearts and souls of old and new !!❤
Brian May was lead guitarist. Hes also an astrophysicist with a PhD and has worked with nasa and is a certified genius.
He’s culture is from India- his parents spoke Gutari- very interesting man. This whole concert will give you chill bumps all day
It was fantastic being a teenager in the 70's when there were so many great bands like never before or after.
He had some piano lessons at school. Self taught singer.
Freddy never had vocal lessions.. Only piano lessons. His vocals are all his natural talent.
One of his less mentioned but powerful songs, Barcelona. A must listen
Love u dad!
Queen was my first concert as a kid. Never saw another concert better!
It be hard to put do these guys
Brian May
Is " Sir Dr. Brian May " ... a n d you and I thought his great accomplishments ended with being called the greatest guitarist ever by most professional musicians. Brian's music is the backbone of Queen's success. He as I'm sure you must know by now, built that guitar with his father from the age of 16 to 18, & plays it every concert to this day with an acoustic now & then for Crazy Little Thing Called LOVE (which Freddie wrote in the bathtub ! )
I grew up with Queen music & to this day have never liked any band as much as Queen... they were magical when the 4 of them toured... Would love for you to react to
IS THIS THE WORLD WE CREATED, WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, SAVE ME,
YOU TAKE ME BREATH AWAY,
ONE YEAR OF LOVE for starters!
Until next time, love from a new subscriber that has stumbled upon a very enjoyable new Queen reactor
Thanks for watching but more importantly, Thanks for the feedback here. yes Queen is one of the greatest bands of all time.
Roger Taylor on vocals and drums… he slays it. Talent bar none❤❤❤❤
Freddy was one of the world's best vocalists. He sang with a world-famous opera singer, it was one of his dreams. One of my regrets in life is that he passed before I got to see him perform live.
Nobody gives them enough credit for singing and playing like this for several hours night after night while touring. They're all amazing.
love watching you discover Queen and the wonders of Freddie and Brian
No electronic trickery here. Just pure talent.
I probably watch this every night
It's THAT SPECIAL
I have watched this performance over and over and I still get shivers!!
I grew up in the 70's and 80's and was a country music person all the way, but this guy was one hell of a talent and performer.
Dragon Attack from the Montreal 1981 concert which the whole band excelled at, but especially Deaky's so-o darn funky bassline.
YESSSS 🐉🔥
Freddie was truly a force of nature. The world lost a true legend way too soon...
great reaction to a classic, one of the best live performances from the whole band.
Thanks, Fitness! as astounding as Freddie is, he would not be the same without the BAND.. I see you givin' up! Look forward to more of your reactions...
Hello my friend .. Love that you always make sure that Brian, Roger, & Deaky get the love that they deserve!! 💝💖💗💞💕 Love you!!
Freddie Mercury was and always will be the greatest entertainer ever xx did you know Lady Gaga took her name from the song Radio Ga Ga xx I was privileged to be young at the same time as Queen were performing it was a great time in history xx
