Great video, I used to use that set up back in the day and kinda forgot about it till your video. I’ve used wedding rings, Dick Knights, and others. The fly that seemed to be a killer fly was the Royal Coachman. Happy fishing.
Oh man I remember those! Upper twin lakes guys were in the water with waders on where the creek dumped into the lake. Awesome setup Cal ! I’m gonna give that a shot.
Great advise. Have you ever looked into a bombarder float? It really achieves the same thing as your float but they are a much slimmer profile and spooks fish less.
@@FHSTackle It was a good presentation but it would have been so much better if you had practised what you preached. You could have written an article on the subject, with the same effect.

I’ve spent the last 3 days looking for a detailed account on this set up. Super stoked to try it out in Colorado this summer! Thanks
That’s been one of my favorite setups for high country trout lakes for years, the smile blade in front of the fly is a new twist though ! Thanks.

Nice video. I’ll be looking out for the TAT TAT haha
Hi Cal, when you fill up the bobber so that it is neutral buoyancy, how you get it down to the level you want?
Well you aren't going to get super deep, but you can count it down as it will slowly sink....
Love your videos man, thank you!
Thank You!
Power worms and grubs work well on that rig too its softer so they might come back for another bite too
This is a amazing video!! Thank you so much (:
Thank You!
Ok I’m
What size of casting bubble?
Where can I purchase fly with spinner?
Check out the Mack's Lure website...Mackslure.com
Have not done this in a while works great when the bite is slow
Does it work with a wet fly
Yes
Do you need to bead and swivel
What about line twist
AAA++++ TROUT VIDEO,, EAT THEM FISH 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
It's a shame you didn't actually cast and illustrate your techniques. Is there a reason as to why you didn't give it a toss?
Oh no reason....I think on the presentation there is a lot you can do..Fast, slow, twitch....And of course, you can toss it for a mile!...

sadly that fly is illegal in my state. can't use ones with spinners 🤣
Tip 27: Catch a fish with the rig you are demonstrating. You'll get more likes if you end with a money shot.
Wooly Booger! Haha! :)
