My father made me an ice rink in the back yard. Seeing him out in the cold spraying layer after layer of water over the grass. Then flooding the area and in the morning I had my own rink! I was filled with love for him… knowing he did love me. I was about 8 . ❄️⛸️⛸️❤

much simpler technology allows us to show loved ones these things much easier. let's not pretend that facetime and video calling aren't revolutionary communication technologies for us. not very many people take advantage of it but it would have helped here and grandpa could have seen it live with the crowd response as well.
