See, I love how you show us how easy it is to use tools/supplies from different types of crafts for something else. I have wood burning tools and I would never have thought to use them for making these packets. Thanks so much, again, for being so generous with your talents!
One of the reasons I love your videos IS because you jump around and do things "out of order" and change your mind and make mistakes and spill sequins and tape stuff shut and... it makes me feel like I'm doing well when the same things happen to me. :)
these are awesome! The first one is so eclectic and fun, using the resin dahlia was inspired (and I have a whole bunch of things like that!). The second is sweet and homey - I think the buttons were perfect feminine embellishments!
Oh wow! That works so much better than the Fuse. I have one and I use it, but I have such a love hate relationship with it. You need to get it stinkin’ hot and go really slow. I sometimes double Fuse it. The end results are good, but boy, I love the wood burning tool much better - it splits it off nicely. I do love these shaker pockets!
Lindsay, I just really love the bookmarks especially! And I have some stamps that would be perfect for bookmarks! You would love a Kindle Paperwhite because it’s just an ereader, nor a tablet. No email of internet to get distracted by and the lighting on it is such that you can read it outside (unlike a tablet) and you can read it in bed at night without disturbing your hubby! We have a family Kindle account and our grown daughters are on it too. We have 2000 Kindle books (collected since the Kindle first came out in 2007) but the vast majority of them have been free or less than $3. And you can borrow Kindle books from your library, which is so great!! I love my paper books too, though. I probably read half paper books (mostly from the library 📚) and half Kindle books. Thanks so much for your great tutorials. Listening to your voice is such a Day-brightener!! HUGS 🤗
I have the original kindle and I do prefer it but I usually borrow the ebooks from the library and they no longer support non-app ereaders like the paperwhites and the original:( It was a real bummer.
That IS a real bummer! They don't support Paperwhites? That's NUTS! Anyway, keep reading anyway! I have yet to get into audiobooks. Some people can craft while listening, but my card making usually involves UA-cam and Pinterest and such, so I don't think that would work for me - don't think I could follow a storyline. But podcasts I can do! Go figure! ;-o.
Oh my goodness! I have been wanting the paper crafter heat tool for a long time. I have a wood burner and never even thought of using it. Thank you, thank you😘 You truly are a frugal crafter😍 Your idea just saved me some money🤗 I take something with and learn something from you with every video you share. Again, thank you😘
You are very inspiring! I own the Fuse tool and it has never been out of the packaging......I had to have it and then got busy with other things....but now I am eager to give it a try. I love your cards and bookmarks. Thanks for sharing this :) Hugs...Janie
Your cards are beautiful Lindsay and I love the bookmarks too. As I was watching you color, I was wondering if you have a tutorial on 'shading' images? I'm finding my images just don't have enough contrast and often I am confused about where to darken an image so that it's cohesive with the rest of the images on a card. TFS Lindsay
Hi Lindsay- I love your videos I learn so much from you!! WOULD YOU PLEASE do a video on how to make a card with the front part of a card split in two(top and bottom) and held together by a word (Thank you). Not sure if it had velum or acetate to hold it together. I saw it on Pinterest and just loved it and would love to make some. THANK YOU SO MUCH. :-)
Hello Lindsay, These are really cute, love the bookmark idea. I have several questions totally unrelated to this and also am afraid it would be too extremely long for a comment post. So how do you suggest I get my questions to you? Thanks,Becky B from Arkansas
Wish I hadn't bought my Fuse, my frugal friend! Thanks for another fun video! At 9:02, what are you tearing your tape against? Looks like a glass of pink liquid?
I bought the clear polka dot acetate and have been trying to decide how to use it. Is there a chance you tried making one of those sheets of acetate into a shaker? I'd love to know if it would work. Always love your videos and was starting to worry as I hadn't seen a video from you since last Friday...Yikes, almost a week without a video from you...I was going through withdrawals...Went back and watched some oldies but goodies of yours from your early days. I always enjoy your videos, no matter when they were made. I'm really looking forward to seeing the rubber stamp sets you designed for Rubber Stamp Tapestry. Sandy
I was using my fuse to make shaker cards today and remember you said it doesn't do well just free hand but against metal it's good. So it might work using big shot dies as a template?
Hi Lindsay, I love the idea of putting sequins inside clear pockets rather than a shaker card because I find I get really frustrated with shaker cards. I have a wood burning tool and so I think I will be set to have a go at this. One quick question what type of surface were you sealing the plastic on please, thank you? :O)
Check out Cheap Joe's American Journey 30 well porcelain palette 11 x 16 inch - lists for $93.49, Cheap Joe's reg price 59.99 (which is what I paid, free shipping) and now is on sale for $39.99! A thing of beauty! I love tube paints - so much more economical! Paula in Florida

+Ruth Andrews - Crafting While the Baby Naps I have never tried the fuse and always assumed that it would work better. Good to know:)

Fun. I wonder if the ruler being metal adds extra heat giving a better seal

I posted an oil tutorial on oils on Sunday:) I just posted wednesday instead of tuesday. There will be a live show tomorrow tho:)
Wow, How did I miss that? Glad it was my oversight and not something wrong on your end.
