Loved seeing all the different variations on one stamps set you showed us in this video, especially the one with the white gouache abd colores pencils. Keep bringing back these "old" techniques - they're new to some of us!
Love them all but my fav. is the roses with Glitter, i'm a Bling Girl lol! Thank You Lindsay, your videos are always Fun to watch and lots to Learn, You're the Best sweetie xx
All gorgeous! Amazing results, each with their own distinct look. I love the versatility and showing all the different looks you can get with one main element.
Bravo! Encore! Encore! Those cards are EXQUISITE! I am in love with the chalk and glitter one! Oh, and the kraft one! And the first brayered one! I didn't even notice the lighter inked spot or that the rose image was upside down, until you pointed it out. And I watched that part twice! I loved those techniques so much that I watched the video twice from beginning to end. And it came at a perfect time. I had just finished cleaning up after my elderly, incontinent cat and was feeling quite annoyed. Now, my good mood is restored!😊 I think this was a fantastic way to show off a stamp set ( I know I want it!) and teach us techniques. I am sooo in the mood to craft. Wheeee! 💖💛💚💙💕
My fav is a tie between the Kraft card base and the Glittered one. but you can't go wrong in my eyes because it's my fav flowers and my fav flower, the 🌹!!!!! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!!
Great video. I love that you have multiple techniques with just one stamp! So much info in one video. We really got a lot of bang for our buck. Keep up the good work. tfs Marguerite
G'day Lindsay. I love it when you do lots of techniques with 1 set. Your cards and techniques always inspire me to use what i have in my stash. And as i have mostly rubber stamps, I love to get more ideas of how to get the best out of them.
The kraft card is sooooo pretty. It’s my fav, but they’re all pretty cool :) Thank you Lindsay for the great techniques and tips for hiding oppose daisies lol!
If you don't have powder chalk colours, you can shave chalk pastels with a craft knife for a dry version on versa mark. I did a video on that recently and the effect was very pretty.
Love these cards you made! Fabulous, great job. They were great and I will have to try some of your techniques on my own cards. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week.
Some of the cards I really liked. A couple I would have trashed. But that's just me. I love the rose stamp it is gorgeous. The Sepia background is my favorite which is unusual for me because that is not a color I use often but it turned out wonderful here. Thanks Lindsay, love your videos.
I've been on a versamark kick lately so this video was perfect timing for me! I originally started following your tutorials ( *cough years ago cough*) for your water color cards, and now i just love your channel in it's entirety. Coffee cup in hand, i Watch every video. ❤
It is so good to be reminded of these wonderful techniques! I've seen the faux enamel dots before (your video, I believe) and it will be the very thing for an upcoming card. Thanks Lindsay!
These are beautiful! I love all the techniques here too, it's another keeper. I have saved so many of your videos I have a YT list with you name on it...literally! Lol! Thank you!
Go girl! You get more suggestions into a short video than anyone else. Thanks for the suggestions. I need a chart for which ink brands for which media ... but really appreciate the tip about background stamping after the fact with clear.
Wow, Most of those cards were stunning!! That really brought back some memories of some great techniques I had forgotten about. But also showed me a new one. Brayering over the water was so pretty and so unique! I don't think it was just the way your water drops fell I think it was the actual movement of the brayer that you would not get this same effect just spraying water on a water reactive ink. I do love my quickie glue pin. Not only for things like what you did with the glitter, but also adhering those really intricate dies down that have super thin lines. Anyways thanks so much for doing this. I love most all your videos but this one is a real keeper!! I'm usually not much for roses, & had i seen this set, I likely would have passed it by. But seeing what you did with it, it's on my list.
Lindsay, one more very fun video! Honestly girl, where do you draw all your ideas out from? I`m so happy, you gave me new ideas to work with. Thank you, darling :))) Josi
As to the card blanks, make shaker cards. That gold border is pretty. And you could cut the front off the back. Or flatter peekaboo cards with pull tabs.
these size rubber stamps work best when you cling m in a stamp tool with brushmarkers.. And do the clear embossing After the coloring. that way you can do both; without the hassle of knowing if you inked it up enough. this is specially handy when, like me you have fibromyalgia and pressure on a stamp can be nasty on the wrists then. my tool is from memory keepers btw.
I love to watch your videos. You have gotten me into making all of my cards.. Where did you get the gold and cardstock bases that you showed? Thank you for all of the help and info you share.
Gorgeous cards, all of them! Great way to use the same stamp set! I was wondering if you sharpened all your Arteza pencils or if yours came sharpened with a sharp tip? Mine came with a flat top, I find them hard to use without sharpening. TFS
Thank you, thank you, thank you for using a single stamp set. Some people have great ideas but use five or six different stamp sets in a single video tutorial. Buying them all is unaffordable so it can be frustrating.
Do you have to use a heating tool after you've applied the versa ink and used glitter? What will happen if you don't use a heating tool? You are so talented and generous with this talent. God bless!
Hello Lindsay, I love all the tips, I'll have to watch again and take notes so I won't forget. Couple of questions, the store bought card bases you don't seem to be fond of, so you're trying to use them up - could you enlighten me on this subject? Also, are those foam squares the same ones that you saved from the 3D puzzle you mentioned awhile back? How did you make them last so long. Thanks a bunch. I appreciate all that you do and feel bad that I can't afford to take any of your classes or buy the stamps you designed, I love all the trees stamps, but..... Anyway, thanks again. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Btw - Archival works fine with alcohol markers if you heat set it so no need to use two separate Inks for water and alcohol markers really. I use Archival for everything and that justifies my having like 60 colours on the go...!
Amazing tutorial!! You are really inspiring and your tutorials teach me so much and they make it fun (without it getting stressful)..I have a quick question about WC markers...so I am debating on buying the Arteza real brush pens but I am not sure if they are as nice as the Kuretake Zig Clean color brush pens...I have a lot of WC crayons and pencils, but don't have any WC markers (except the distress markers, but they don't really count) and I really want to try out some type of WC markers..Can you recommend any brands to me and what the pros and cons are for them? Oh, I also have another question that has nothing to do with this tutorial...I just watched a video on Crayons and WC Greetings Cards...and I was wondering if you could use any type of crayon for this and not damage the crayon due to the heat (because I don't have the Crayola ones but I do have Caran d'ache WC crayons or Prima WC crayons)?
I think if I were experimenting with heat I'd use cheap childresn crayons first as the CaranDache are pricey and Id hate to ruin them. As for he w/c markers, honestly there is not a big difference but I'll say there are some bad real brush ones. I have use Atreza, Mozart and Zig real brush pens and those 3 are really good and very similar quality wise. Go with the best price and the color selection you want. The one benefit to zig is that they are available open stock so if you use up a color you can buy just the one color you need. If you want a dual felt tip marker there are tons of good options, the Ohuhu brand has a set of 60 for under $20 that preforms really well. They are not as nice as Tombow or Memento but they are good.
thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Thank you so much for your reply!! It reassured me as I was worried that the arteza brush pens (which is what I ordered) was not as nice as the zigs because I have heard that there are problems with the ink running out really fast, blending it as a wc, vibrancy of it (colors r apparently not as vibrant as the zigs), and duplicates in the 48 set. Since I know you are an amazing artist and a trustworthy source of info, I feel much more confident about buying them. I also wanted to ask if you have ever tried out the Arteza professional watercolor pencils and if so, are they as nice as the woodless set? Because, I have found the 72 WC Pencils set at an amazing deal and purchased it ASAP but now, I am not so sure about that decision because vibrancy and quality is really important to me and if they are not as good as the woodless ones, I would rather have the smaller set (24 woodless WC pencils).
I like the colored pencils over the gouache!
Oooh, and the black, glittery butterflies! LOVE!
Love it when you use one product multiple ways!
Loved seeing all the different variations on one stamps set you showed us in this video, especially the one with the white gouache abd colores pencils. Keep bringing back these "old" techniques - they're new to some of us!
I think the bonus background is my favorite! -Kryste
Love them all but my fav. is the roses with Glitter, i'm a Bling Girl lol! Thank You Lindsay, your videos are always Fun to watch and lots to Learn, You're the Best sweetie xx

My daughters and I love your videos! Such gorgeous work, so quickly accomplished. :)
All gorgeous! Amazing results, each with their own distinct look. I love the versatility and showing all the different looks you can get with one main element.
Oooh, gorgeous results! So much nicer than the same old cards in the store.
Bravo! Encore! Encore! Those cards are EXQUISITE! I am in love with the chalk and glitter one! Oh, and the kraft one! And the first brayered one! "Allergic to clean and simple" - so funny. I had a customer tell me today that he is allergic to change (so he wanted the product he got years ago)

yes because the glitter embossing powder has clear bits that melt to adhere it.

is that so? Hmm, I'll have to try that! I'm sticking to my simple black and brown tho;)
Brayering Ink - it’s 2001 again lol! Love how it looks though.
Braying is the new Distress oxide and 40 is the new 30 so I'm set on all accounts:)
