My choices are: 1. Anything professional grade (especially watercolour); 2. Any homemade art supply such as your paint sticks and whatever you do with the pigments; 3. I find the Sizzix Studio stencil/stamp thing quite intriguing. … but, honestly, I would prefer to see you working with and testing out any products that you truly feel like playing with, rather than things that you feel you have to test… even though I am sure there are lots of things in the latter category. So my true number one is “whatever Lindsay feels like playing with”😉…
I think my votes go for the Arrtx watercolor pencils, the Sizzix stuff, and the Tourmaline watercolors, especially with those cute little palettes and the sponge! In particular the sponge seems pretty small and useful, so I'm super curious how well it performs. I think I'm going to have to go look up that Palette Scout product as an aside, just to see a little bit more about it.
I would love to see the water soluble oil sticks and compare them to the water soluble neo colors. I don’t know the difference. Then the little all cotton watercolor sketchbooks then a comparison of the gelli print papers. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving, hope the best for your father.
Wow! Lots to look forward to! I'm most interested in the tempera paint sticks, the Soho oil sticks, and the Van Gogh oil pastels. I have the swivel palette, and if you remove the insert, it will hold 24 half pans. I use it for my travel gouache palette, and it works great. 🙂
Yay!!! #1 pick for review - Karst woodless watercolor pencils! Also the other set with the paint brushes on the end! And the Karst stone paper, too! Actually, a comparison video of the Karst brand, Altenew, Arrtx, and CreataColor would be SUPER AWESOME! Thank you, Lindsay! ❤
I really appreciate your reviews. I would love to see your DIY OIL STICKS and COLD WAX MEDIUM videos! Anything OIL PAINT, please? I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I was my dad's health care proxy/care giver, very stressful time. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.🫂🙏
The soho water-soluble oil sticks look very interesting! The old vs new quin gold comparison, I’ve been wondering about that. Mijello tourmaline colors, so pretty!
Choose any 3 of the following for me lol 1. The tempra sticks (curious how they work) 2. The encaustic stuff 3. The pallet scout color chip cards 4. Geli printing and accompanying papers 5. Sizzix stamp thing 6. The wrist thing for pastels with the Marie pastels (get a 2 in one bonus! Lol) 6. Soho Water soluble oil sticks 7. Neo pastels 8. Watercolor dot cards 9. Gifted pallet 10. Sponge
I'd love to see the gel printing papers, the Caran D'Ache Neopastels and the Clairefontaine Paint on Paper. Bonus would be all the other items you got in France... It is nice to see brands I can get hold of more easily in Europe sometimes! 😁 Thank you for all your hard work!
My list 1. Art Whale Gouache (been eyeing them on/off for a WHILE) 2. Paul Rubens WC with on-camera swatching of you are able to do so. 3. Daniel Smith WC. Hope you are well.
❤ I love the stencil stamping set, but I'm a little disappointed that I can't find it anywhere! ❤ I'll be fascinated to see what you do with that rice paper. I got some early on for watercolor, and it is a hoot to play with! All of it is art and I'm fine with any order you choose. Follow your bliss. ❤😊
Absolutely the Kwik Stix - I bought these for my kids and ended up liking using them myself. The larger sets come with some very nice muted colors, and they’re more versatile than one would initially think, although they definitely lend themselves to looser work. They’re not marketed as water-soluble, but they are water-soluble when activated before they dry. On cold press watercolor paper you can get a really nice painterly oil pastel look, but an oil pastel which actually dries. They also make a thinner version, although I don’t think those come in the full range of colors. The first time I bought them I brought them on vacation for my kids to use, and we were staying at a cottage on a lake and I ended up using them for plein air sketches on my watercolor paper.
Love your videos and reviews. I can not remember the last time I was in an art store, absolutely nothing near me , but watching you is the next best thing Many thanks from Oz
Water soluble oil paint sticks! I've had them in my cart at Jerry's for a while now and would love your input. There's also an article and video called "Demystifying Water-soluble Oil Paints" that describes what makes them water soluble compared to regular oil paints and oil pastels. ❤
Solid tempera sticks, those granulating paints at the end um mijello gosh um last one aww the watercolour oil sticks those look intriguing too. Ok three done great look at up coming videos.

Mercy that’s a lot of stuff! Hard to pick 3 and even harder for you I bet! 1. Karst wordless wc pencils, 2. Tempera sticks, 3. Sizzix Studio (4. Art Whale gouache) 😉 Of course I will watch whatever you serve up in whatever order hahaha!

Hi Lindsay! I hope that your dad is doing well and continuing to improve. Look at all of these wonderful goodies that you get to play with! I recently came across a channel called Froyle Art. The lady Froyle is from New Zealand and she is absolutely delightful! She is SUPER positive and very inspirational She is a mix media artist that focuses on Gelli printing. So....I'd LOVE for you to share/review the Gelli printing/Wet strength Tissue/Mullberry paper FIRST!!!! I'd also LOVE to see the Sizxix Studio system I'd also love to see the comparison of my favorite watercolor color...Quinacridone Gold!!! (Also the Mijello Tourmaline Colors) Thanks for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving!
#1I have wanted to try those Kwik Stix tempera paint sticks- so curious! #2 Gel printing stuff (tea bag paper - oooo, didn’t even know that existed as an art material) and then my #3 would be using the palettes that were made for you (Daniel Smith & Mijello). Honestly tho…. Pick the 3 you want to do the most! Or write them all down on pieces of paper and randomly choose the order. I will enjoy all of the reviews no matter the order!
Father most important. WatercolorPencil, soho oil sticks, glitter pens . Just bought the himi’s😢 hope it was not a mistake. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family❤
I think the tempera sticks. Those are pretty different than what were use to seeing. I’m wondering how close they are to Gelatos or even Tim’s Distress crayons. But I’m here for whatever you choose to do. Praying for your Dad. ❤
1. Paul Rubens YouLan FULL swatch! 2. Woomer color pencils review and tutorial. Ashley Hawkes is an awesome artist. She is a Daniel Smith Brand Ambassador, as are many many other artists and they all have their own dot cards. They do not make pallets for the cards individually. I collected many dot cards at the Florida Watercolor Society convention as well as Ashley will send one if you ask her. Just 5$ for shipping. Her videos are very informative about Daniel Smith. One of my fav watercolors, besides Paul Rubens.
