I think that was kinda the point. Like the main purpose of this thing is to give you an easy go-to combo when you land a launcher when you are just starting out with a character
@@panlis6243 Feels kinda lame tbh, most fgs give you basic bnbs and also fun advanced challenges to really show the potential of a charter. Making it so short feels lazy
@@GreatRusio It could be laziness, but it could also be a deliberate decision to not overload beginners and make them feel accomplished that they landed something cool and structured, without feeling like they're missing out on something critical. Maybe they could add community trials like in GGST in the future...
@@Dysprooh I think the exclusion of it is a big shame even with that explanation. Players will hit want to see better combos the moment they get hit by them online so it doesn't solve much. tried doing this as a challenge when i was bored of online. it was actually pretty tough. hardest ones for me were jin paul and bryan. jin cus of his weird directional inputs and the other two cus of weird sway/snake stances. but since i main steve watching u try to figure out the df121 was hilarious. fun video!

tekken 8 is the first tekken i ever played, i just looked at the cover art and decided to play jin and kazuya....until i saw the electric input, and that fricking back and forward shuffle nonsense.. i know the devs are laughing knowing exactly what they did.. great video btw 👍
Thank goodness i wasn’t the only one who felt that the lars trials was really hard I literally mentioned it to my tekken mate who’s a lars main and he was like lars one are some of the earliest I was like huh
i don't know why , but kaz his jugling moves loos so satisfying to see , it the wa he swing his fist , what's the move called , while rising 2 i think , looks like a upercut but it's a swing from don up like a hammerfist from down to up .
Great video I am new to fighting games and I tried to do the combo trials could you tell me. what I could do to get better at inputs and Also what controller you play on it looks like a leverless controler.
I play on a snack box micro xl, which is a leverless controller. Something that helped me with my inputs (and definitely with getting through the trials) was watching the demos of the combos and checking to make sure my timings and inputs matched that with my input reader on the right.
@@grph1t3z I remember hearing that a couple months ago, I think that only effects xbox players and I play on PC. Hopefully I wont have to make any changes on my end 😅.
Xiao combos in the training mode are nonsense. True optimal staple combos require the instant stance transition from neutral (no buffering, just go into stance at first frames after recovery). Sometimes even they even require looping iws2 from backturn (u uf f df * 2 justframe) that is one of the most difficult moves in the game.

I was shocked how easy it was to do them. They feel more like combo tutorials than actual trials/challenges
yeah after doing a few of them, I realized I could probably do them all and get a cool video out of it.

I don’t see Devilster anywhere.

I used to use these when just learning how to combo so they're useful, the combos themself aren't that good and it's better to learn optimal ones
