With all due respect, I trust (and support) the attorneys and coaches and how his situation was handled the past 5 months.

Would a guy like Egor even be able to handle the adjustment of being a "student athlete" going from just being a pro player to going to classes and bball would be a change.

That's what I was thinking. Does he really want to go to class? Depends how he was raised and if he feels that is an obligation.

I appreciate everything Hawkins did. Great career at Illinois, could be legendary if he were to comeback to Illinois. The one problem I have is the if I comeback I would be taking someone’s spot. BS. It’s his spot and there has been nobody left that was waiting behind him. No matter where he goes the players that are there are not counting on Hawkins joining them and he is taking someone’s spot at another school 100%. I am guessing this has been a done deal the moment he entered the portal. I don’t buy the spin though. Illinois desperately needs scoring and players on the wing. Desperately.

Too small. Brad wants positional size and he'd be average at best size wise at PG

Do your sources indicate any possibility of a plea bargain for Shannon- possibly admit to the misdemeanor and serve some time but be out by the start of the NBA season?

Doesn't Underwood still have a pretty big bag left with three unfilled scholarships? Been saving up for a big get? How about Coleman as a big get? Seems like many others consider him to be one. It would be a nice reward for four years of hard work. Let him play the 4 and win the Big 10..... I will bet Underwood has more than a mill available...ILL..

Coleman knew he wasn't going to be drafted likely and planned to leave for more NIL all along . Nobody thought he was a lock to get drafted in the least.

No we greatly appreciate what Coleman has done for the Illinois program. He gave 4 hard years. We will rarely ever see that again. He brought multiple banners to us. We had to reload and both sides understand that. And I will wish him best of luck WHEREVER he lands. He deserves big money.

I’ve always have said Brad Underwood is not a coach but a recruiter! Note 30 unanswered points by UCONN against Illini. But does Brad ever talk with his players about staying above the law. Do not do anything that harms your career or even comes close to impropriety! Shannon put doubt on the line! Idiot! But did Brad warn his players!

The first two players they should have tried hard to sign early in the process before they went after anyone else was Storr and Demin. Now, they supposedly don't have the money to pay players like that, because they spent too much on the Jake Davis's and the Tre White's of the world and did it way too early in the transfer portal process, instead of going after the big fish first, or waiting to see how things shook out to see who all was entering the portal b4 they jumped the gun on some of the guys they picked up, guys who are just off the bench role players or projects that still need alot of work, guys who will only score about 6 to 9 points per game and play less than 15 minutes. Alot of big names didn't even enter the portal until way after they had already picked up Davis and White and Booth. We needed to replace our alpha dog and leading scorer, TSJ, with guys like Demin and Storr, and we haven't yet. I'm worried, because there might not be anybody like that left after they pass on Demin. Why did they just give Antigua an almost $1million per year contract if not to bring in alpha dogs like that from his connections abroad and from his connections here as well? Boswell is a good Brad pickup but he is not your alpha. Are they expecting a kid who played juco ball for most of his college career, and for a crappy low D1 Indiana-Evansville school last year, in that of Humrichous, to be their Domask next year? Wouldn't count on it. I wouldn't count on any of these guys to do too much for you besides Boswell. We need Demin. In the words of John Malcovich in Rounders, "pay that man his money." Brad has 3 open scholarships left. How do they not have the money to pay Demin? You want to win a natty? Then you're going to have to spend big money for a guy like that who will be key to getting you there. Spend that money on either Demin or Hawkins, BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET AT LEAST ONE IF NOT BOTH OF THEM HERE! Brad, that is why you are one of the highest paid college basketball coaches, to bring in great players, and to retain the players you already have. Do your job! Nobody you have brought in so far moves the needle for me very much besides Boswell. Just because you lucked out with Domask last year doesn't mean you will luck out again with someone like Humrichous. Now, go get a bona-fide stud 2G stretch 3, if there are any left. Brad did not play this well.

@@UR_Right24 You obviously don’t follow these recruitments very closely. You have no idea what happened in each of those recruitments and why they moved on. Who’s won more games in the Big Ten the last 5 years? Who just came off an Elite 8? You’re throwing out opinions alright…and very bad ones, supported by nothing but your myopic viewpoints.
