Nowhere does Hawkins make a bigger impact than Illinois. Illinois is a .500 roster without Hawkins and is easily in the tournament with him. The Illinois roster hype is 🙄. Fans in for a big let down. It doesn't make sense for Coleman to leave Illinois. It also doesn't make sense for Illinois to NOT match any offer made to Coleman. Something fishy happened, everyone is keeping quiet.

Derek, nice knowledge of Kasparas game. He's such a Beast, just made ANGT all-time assist record- 17. This year he won the ANGT Belgrade MVP, and the Spanish Youth League MVP, and made it to the ANGT All tournament's top 5 best players. I think after this year he's the second-best player from the EU (after Nolan Traore).

This is a desperate attempt by the NCAA to stay relevant. They know that mens basketball and football are going to go their own way with their TV rights and media deals cash$. They arent going to share that money with womens rugby.

These changes are going to force the athletic department to become a well run business. We need more revenue, need to reduce non revenue generating activities and reduce overhead. The biggest revenue generators are football, men’s basketball, hockey and men’s baseball. We have an underperforming football program from revenue generation, no hockey, and an underfunded baseball team that prevents us from generating revenue. There are only 15 men’s gymnastic teams in the country. We better have a strong CFO in the department. How Josh navigates the next two to three years will determine how great he really is.

We (the Illini) need to start thinking about making Josh Whitman the highest-paid AD in college athletics. 100% of the improvement of the Illinois Athletic Department starts and ends with having Josh Whitman as our AD. All of our teams are headed in the right direction, and for that to continue we NEED to have Josh Whitman at the helm.

Love the energy! Let's hope that his press man and Henry's tenacity don't mean blown coverages (for the sake of boom/bust plays) and getting cooked during the season. Walters was the calming presence on defense that balanced out Henry. Walters knew just when to sell out and dial in. Hoping Corey Parker can bring the energy when recruiting and developing but temper it in-game.

Great content guys. Illinois fan since 1972. Love the Football update. I go back to Bob Blackmon, Mike White, Ron Zook. My favorite coach was John Mackovic. Took Illinois to 4 bowl games. Hopefully Coach Brett gets the team rolling. Keep up the good work.
