- A Raymond Reach truck came in from a new customer. The unit was coding out G4 intermittently. The Previous company who work on it replace the Steer motor and the main harness to no avail. Let try to properly diagnose this unit.

The power of the scope when used with knowledge. Great job.
Great job! I'm 3 yrs into this field, and reading is everything. I don't have all the answers, but having 20+ year techs calling me for help is awesome. We all have strong points, and sharing this vital information makes us all better technicians. Pointing out the comments here are great and I've already used them to repair a 8hbw23 worn out battery on Etac card!
Thank you very much to everybody!!
That has been one of my biggest concerns in this industry too many people throw parts at a truck trying to fix the problem instead of really trying to diagnose and then prove the diagnosis gives everybody a bad name
Most companies put people with 0 experience on trying to fix PIV fleets. The managers will say to new employees, "there's the manual. Oh and I need ten of these fixed by tomorrow."
I started out as one of those guys now I’m a certified tech for Raymond.
@@phatjesse3325 but the norm is "well hell, I dunno, try this. "

@@forkliftgeek10 thanks, I guess it's worthed.
So what you’re saying is for once the manual is right at the end when it says “replace module” lol!
