All I need now is Sly 2 now. If I can save the game whenever. I can finally replay levels or bosses I really liked without having to restart the entire campaign all over again. Sly 2 waa my favorite & a masterpiece but it's only flaw was the how you couldn't replay missions compared to all the other games. It's the longest of the franchise too with 8 episodes.

Nice video and this game here is also one of my favorite PS2 games as well! I still have the physical copy of this game for PS2 on the game disc, but I also decided to purchase the game digitally from the PlayStation Store to play on my PS4 and PS5 consoles now too.
i agree completely if company's actually let us have access to there classic games then its much easier to throw a few bucks at it rather than try to get a emulator working. i just wish nintendo would have this logic rather than removing rom sights because they cant have people playing there games they havent sold in years for hardwear that also hasnt been sold in years.
I just started playing Sly Cooper 1 a few days ago and the game is fun and amazing. The bosses and areas are somewhat difficult because you have to be precise of what your latching onto and you could loose your life in one go if you are careless. Hopefully, this encourages Sony to make a new game.

I had no hesitation buying it on PS5, I just love the idea of booting up my PS5 and playing it on there much more. Plus it pushes Sony to make a New Sly Cooper game, the more people that buy it, the more it shows how much we still love Sly Racoon.
I'm so mad they didn't release the PS3 collection, or at least all three. I loved the first, loved the second (but never got around to finishing it), and never touched three. I'm still waiting for my opportunity to actually play the whole trilogy.

I did at one point years ago say that the best way to test if Sly has a chance of coming back is to rerelease/remake the original and I have been proven right, it sold like hotcakes.
The first Sly game is alright but i got the collection on PS3 so I always opted to play the later ones. The first was just a bit too repetitive for my taste but laid the ground work for something amazing so I respect it.
Not to mention that this is the new ps2 emulator that they been working with some people who did the PCSX2 emulator. Hence why bringing ps2 games to ps4/ps5 took so long now. The old ps2 emulator was ok, but still has problems.

If they do another game I hope they go back to the cartoon art style it felt more unique and fresh I wasn’t a fan on the looks of Sly 4 they can make something that looks like hi-fi rush it’s clean but still has that cartoon feel
As much as I want to support a release like this to hopefully get more to happen, I haven't had a PlayStation since the PS2 and I have no intention of buying one just for 1 game/trilogy. Sony really needs to consider releasing a version on PC for those of us that have moved away from consoles. I would 100% buy all the sly games if I could play on PC without having to emulate.

I think you get it for free if you own the original on ps vita. I got Daxter on PS3 store (along with GTA CW and Driver 76) but never got Vita. Yet i could get to claim and play on PS5 for free. Thought to play them someday but didn't peak my interest. Not that much interesting games to play for long on PS Vita.

From what i played, it seems to be perfectly fine. I almost beat it on the first try but the boss fight still gets me at the end. It's definitely way better than the collection version.
I hope they will put this trilogy on Xbox. Unlikely as that is, I really want it. It would make them more money. They should just re-release the trilogy on new consoles. Sure, they did that with the HD collection, except that wasn't that great.

I’ll either wait however many years till this is on Steam or just emulate a ROM since I have much of a reason to buy a PS5. Sony has HORRIBLE cyber security that gets routinely hacked, and in recent times lots of people have lost big chunks of their digital libraries thanks to the rights holders removing their stuff from Sony’s stores. If it didn’t have those issues, online was free, and was backwards compatible with physical discs from the MASSIVE back catalog I’d buy one yesterday. Also, if they made MCC (Master Chief Collection) style collections of a lot of their older games I’d be inclined to buy one. Let’s hope they add the rest of Sky’s catalog and numerous other games to current storefronts. I’ve wanted to try out their “Halo Killers” Killzone and Resistance for a while (the true Halo Killer was itself under 343. They’ve fundamentally altered the canon and ran that series into the ground. Thankfully, the MCC has the good games, and it regularly goes on sale. The thing will run well on a laptop since the games were designed for the original Xbox/360, and modern computers are far stronger).
Not to sound rude but if you watched at the end of my video you'd see my reasoning for buying it. You can do whatever you want with your money. All I'm saying is that Sony doesn't see potential in a franchise that doesn't have a big loyal audience.

I order a ps2 off amazon to play my old games again, so I'll likely order the ps2 version of the trilogy

The change in graphics just looks like a lighting change. They made the game darker

Got the new Sly Cooper 1 on ps4. Only issue I have had with it so far is the game crashing when you save or load too fast from the options button.

This version seems worse than the PS3 version to me. It doesn’t look as bright or vivid.
The PS3 version is brighter but it’s also got port issues due to stretching the screen without thinking of the rest of the game.
Disappointing how poor the state of this game is on ps4 and ps5. PS3 version was sharp! Now I‘m playing a muddy mess.
