For some reason I rushed through that part of the challenge and didn’t mention it. I’ve gotten a couple people who are curious about that. Just use that spot to paraglide where I was in the video.

This dude did a weird and dumb challenge and some how found things that could be used for speedruns
Actually with some pipes, ropes and ladders you can use them by just standing near them and holding down the circle button, you don't really need to jump and press the circle button to climb them.

This was dedication!!!!! I loved watching this 😂 I've played this game hundreds of times, throughout my childhood up until a few days ago and I cannot believe that I've never thought of climbing up the water tower and jumping into the doorway instead of being thrown up there by Murray.

I once did an experiment in Sly 1 where I wanted to see if you could beat “A Cunning Disguise” without the barrel just to see if it was possible, you actually can do it and I dare anyone to try it

I’m happy to say that sly 3 is on the way with a special guest! But I plan on doing more challenge videos in the future. I love pushing games beyond their limits.

I know this challenge includes climbing, but just for the record if you stand close enough to a pole, while you're on the ground, and press circle; sly will automatically start climbing it.
I've sunk way to many hours of my life into this game... Enh worth it.
Damn, all those proxy spots look so fun! As a kid, I only found one each on the Canada levels. One where you stand on one of the train's ice car when you get to the electric cave where the train leaves, and spam X right when Sly gets electrocuted. On the other Canada level, you go to the opposite end of the map from the safehouse where there is that one really small wheel spinning along the log river, the one at 17:58. You jump between that wheel and the wooden platform on top of the small round log part that spins the wheel as Bentley and hope you get launched. Those were fun. Not really useful at all, maybe, but still fun.
Oof, guess the 2nd one is completely useless, since the one you showed seems much better and more fun.
Have you tried it without cheats? I feel like that would be another beast without feral pounce

For Iron Horse 2 in episode 6, with sly you can actually glitch high jump onto the door and then glitch high jump onto the top of the train car and skip everything that way.

Honestly, I'd say that that one instance shouldn't count since it's basically a cutscene like in the first mission. If anyone disagrees, that's fair.

Great acheivment, but how can you already have the paraglide on chapter 3 ? Without early gadgets it's pretty much impossibile to pull this one off

You’re allowed to jump you just can’t jump and then after that press the circle button :)
You haven't banned pressing the circle button in mid-air (without jumping of course), would you be able to complete that lasers job or whatever in episode 7?
Yes. I was thinking of making a separate category where I didn’t ban it and then complete, but the room with the saw blades would still be impossible.

I never knew about that "triple jump" before this video, I did it in a recent replay of the series on my ps3, used it all the time, it's just so useful even for casual play.
Tried it in sly 3 and it didn't work, so I'm guessing it only works in sly 2.
Yeah unfortunately they fixed it for sly 3, but is very useful in sly 2 even in casual gameplay
You can launch yourself in.the air and then press circle button, that technicaly becomes r1 where you paraglide and then circle when you are above
Just wanted it to be more challenging. Plus it wouldn’t of changed the outcome :P

Fantastic video, been wondering myself if it was possible for quite a long time. Well, now we know. But the room with the saw blades in the final episode, could be possible to pull off in some way that might not've been found yet.
Which I can try experimenting myself, but it'll be awhile before doing so.
The saw blades I’m almost sure is possible. Problem is it can take months of experimenting unless someone gets lucky. But like in episode 5, with some determination, it can be done

misled you. Goes over how and what he considers cheating but proceeds to use cheat codes to skip to the last chapter to obtain tools. That’s already cheating. FYI, you can’t make it past the intro without x+o. It’s why he skipped it. You can’t play sly 2 without x+o playing it legitly from start to finish without skipping & going back later.
@@AznTony360 He linked a video in a different comment section that's shows the proxi in the tutorial that allows him to skip all the rope walking/tutorial.

If you used the proxy to launch yourself into the air and then paraglided over and then hit the circle button, does that count as jumping and pressing the circle button? You didn't jump, technically

you can make this a Low% run. Complete it with as few Jump circle Button uses as possible, and then as fast as possible. Aka someone who uses jump circle twice in the game and takes 4 hours is better than someone who uses jump circle three times and takes an hour. Would be a cool category I think :D

I can tell that you were playing this version of Sly Cooper on the downloaded version on the PS3. Some of the things that are supposed to be filled into the screen, aren't filled in. There is a difference between the PS3 disc version versus the PS3 digital version. It's in the settings to where you will find an overscan option if you play the digital version, but you won't find that setting if you play the disc version. It happens to some games that were updated from the PS2 to the PS3. the disc version of those PS2 games that were updated don't have an overscan option on the disc version, but they do if you play the digital version. I've noticed it on the Sly Cooper series and the Ratchet & Clank series. To have the definitive version of some PS2 games, play the PS3 digital versions. If you don't care about the visual stuff, then I would say play the disc version. But for this video you're playing the PS3 version that on the PS3 Store.
