Love this song. All four of them shine, Freddie as usual with great vocals, Roger on drums, Brian with an awesome guitar solo and John with a rare bass solo!
Thank you for reacting to this gem. It’s my favorite song by Queen. When I mention this song to friends, no body knows it. How can that possibly be? This was the first song I ever heard by Queen and to this day it’s still the best.
Love 70s Queen! Here's some info on John the Bassist John Deacon Youngest of the group and a reluctant rock star Prefers the home life, only married once with six kids. Wrote some of the most recognisable bass lines of the eighties (Vanilla Ice stole one)and their biggest hit 'Another One Bites the Dust' Loves the funk and was friends with bands like Chic and Hot Chocolate Often plays Bass like a lead instrument, this is evident on 'Bicycle Race', 'Liar' and 'Mustapha' Quit not long after Freddie's death, without that inspiration, he found the music biz too much to deal with. A legend.
Freddie wrote this in 1970. It was on Queen's first album released in 1973. The Catsuit was one of Freddie's many fashion phases. The tight unitards were inspired by his love of Ballet. “I have fun with my clothes onstage; it's not a concert you're seeing, it's a fashion show.” ~ Freddie Thanks.
I know you’re new to this band. Roger Taylor is the drummer. John Deacon is the bass player. Queen is the greatest live band in history. There is no comparison. Loving your reactions ❤. Looking forward to more
This brings back great memories. I saw Queen in March '77 on the Day At the Races tour at the Pacific Coliseum. Freddie was in his Nijinsky period and liked to wear leotards and ballet slippers on stage. Brian wore these incredible hand painted bat winged shirts. John Deacon, the bassist, still had long hair. Liar was one of Freddie's earliest songs and it had a solo for everyone in the band. I have been to a lot of concerts and that was still the best ever. Queen is definitely the best live band imo. You must watch Stone Cold Crazy live from the Rainbow 1974. The first thrash metal song. You won't believe how fast Freddie can sing! Thanks for reacting to these great songs!
You really need to do Dragon Attack live at Montreal 1981. Another good one is Get Down Make Love at Montreal or Milton Keynes 1982 either is great! Thanks for the reactions.
John Deacon's bass on this just drives me nuts!!!!! Roger Taylor, drums and fabulous back up singer gives fantastic vocal support to Freddie on all their work, no matter the genre. BTW John Deacon did bass on Freddie's collaboration with Operatic Diva Montserrat Caballe.
Live at the Rainbow, 1974. John’s bass throughout is great, he and Roger were locked in even better, John’s little time to sing was filmed better (and his long wavy hair looked shiny and amazing), and his Moment to Shine Bass Feature was at its BEST. Also, Freddie’s voice sounded better… Brian’s guitar sounded perfect (whoever set up his gear in 74 at the Rainbow did a perfect balance)… Roger’s drumming was way better in the 74 performance too.
This isn’t my first time hearing this song, but this is my first time seeing them perform it and I even love this song. I really feel no matter what song that they played it just was magical!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great performance by Queen. They did this in 1973 which Freddie really put it I out❤❤ thus one was the band❤❤❤❤ love to see It's So You by Freddie❤❤❤Freddie Forever
Thanks - they always did this great live... a rocker from the first album.... appreciate your reactions... (p.s. check out Brighton Rock - I recommend the album version first, but there is a great extended live version as well.. Brian shreds that guitar...lol)
One of my favorite songs performed live!! Freddie wrote this song loosely based on some not-so-nice experiences he had at Boarding School in India. 🇮🇳 Freddie was born in Zanzibar, birth name Farrokh Bulsara. The family was of the Zoroastrian religion. Nicknamed Freddie at the school but didn’t officially change his name until the family moved to the U.K. fleeing the Zanzibar revolution. Freddie earned a Graphics Art/Design degree at Ealing Technical College & School of Art. He designed the Queen crest!!
When you're done with this amazing rabbit hole, smoke your blunt and check out Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb -live Earls Court 1994. I challenge you not to love this

One of my absolute favorites
✅
You have to do Dragon Attack . You’ll love it.
✅
Makes me laugh when Queen haters say they were not a rock band?
✅
I saw Queen live with Freddie Mercury back in 1982 and 1983. The second one in the second row. I have never seen this one before! Excellent!
✅
Brian may is one of the best if not the best to play a guitar . He is so smooth
🎸
They've done an earlier version that is FIRE and where John Deacon shines.
Live at the Rainbow, 1974. John’s bass throughout is great, he and Roger were locked in even better, John’s little time to sing was filmed better (and his long wavy hair looked shiny and amazing), and his Moment to Shine Bass Feature was at its BEST.

Roger’s drumming was way better in the 74 performance too.
@@imweakfordeaky Freddie's voice is way better here, more embellishments. Rainbow has overdubs and pitch corrections, this one doesn't.
@@imweakfordeaky Yes. They all shined.

4 equally talented musicians who gave their best.

Have a look, if you like, at this song live at the Rainbow 1974, in my opinion better version, also the drums and the sound quality in general.
