- From the LP “Psalms of Consolation and Hope”. Recorded in St John’s College chapel, 1978. The choir of St John’s College, directed by George Guest. Organ: John Scott.
- Psalm 139: O Lord, thou hast searched me out
- Psalm 49: O hear ye this, all ye people
- Psalm 98: O sing unto the Lord a new song
First heard this Choir while spending some months in Barbados in the 1980s. Up to that time King's College was my favorite English Choir for the singing of psalms.. The dictional clarity, discipline and interpretative skills of this choir quite moved me and I found the title aptly described what became their ministry to me even as they ministered these psalms.
A favourite chant of St George's Church Choir Freetown
Absolutely beautiful
outstandingly beautiful
Very rich Harmony. Enjoying the Accompanist
I feel as though I am next to God when I hear this psalm. He is worthy to be praised.
Psalm139 My ever favourite
A popular chant sung at Funeral services in Freetown
Beautiful! Speaks to your soul. Great praise and worship
Nice to hear the decani v cantoris in quarters. Rarely done but much more effective than alternate verses.
